I guess I'm light weight. The Ube cream was good, it was flavorful and you could also taste the coconut. There was a lot of ice. I placed a mobile order on the app about five minutes before I got to the coffee shop, and my order was already ready by the time I got there. Parking can be pretty difficult to find, even on the weekdays around lunchtime. I ordered a hot matcha coffee. It tasted SO GOOD. The coffee flavor was very strong, but I could still taste hints of the matcha cream. I ordered 50% sweetness (I like my drinks not too sweet but still on the sweeter end, but I wanted to be healthy this time), and I was surprised that the drink was actually the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I heard about this place on Instagram and saw Cerritos was opening up a new store was excited to try it and left disappointed. The presentation sucked nothing like the pics they post, my cup was dirty on one side and looked like they just plopped a blob of cream in it. The flavor of the banana cream reminds me of banana runts so if you like that, but not my thing. Plus the coffee was on the lighter side for being Vietnamese coffee and I dont like strong coffee. I asked for light ice which they did but I felt I was missing like 1/2 inch of coffee off the top of my drink. When I finished it I felt jipped it was 6 dollars for a regular size and I felt like I didnt drink anything. Like I needed another coffee because I had none. They recently changed to a different lid that is so hard to open, you need to flip it open and then lock it in place. A lot of times though, it will crack and break easily. With their specialty being different flavors of cream tops it is also very messy to require customers to dirty their hands just to get a sip. Since the cream top easily reaches to the top of the lid. I was offered to come for a free drink & that they were going to retrain staff to improve the customer service but decided to come unannounced to see if the staff was truly retrained & they were unfortunately not, based on my interaction. I came in this time and used to kiosk as it was night time & end of peoples shifts. But when I was called for my order the guy handed me my drinks with the straightest face. I bubbly said "thank you so much" and not one word came out of his mouth. I'm not saying he specifically is the one to blame. My point is I was told they were gonna get retrained & the staff wasn't or they were and the employees don't care. I work in customer service as well & we have long days yes but when someone comes in & is being nice your kindness goes a long way as well. I love Daviens coffee and ive been to other locations. But I purchase from Davien cerritos location alot because i work in the same plaza but sadly, i cant afford to tip well each and every time. I only get a well made coffee when i tip well. Unfortunately, I could not tip today. And i notice when I dont tip or tip very little, they would not put much effort into making the coffee taste that great and i usually let it slide because i still want to drink coffee to get through my shift BUT This time they rather crossed the line with me when half of my coffee is mostly foam (and not even the cappuccino type of foam), hardly any coffee at all, barely even half of the cup. I even had to dip my finger to feel how much foam was in the cup and i was right. i also payed for egg cream as extra in my marble drip and they hardly added any. I dont have this issue with the location like the one in stanton. They always do everything well there but for some reason, cerritos location is has an issue with being being careless or getting offended when they dont get no tipped/tipped well. I make lattes at the place I work and I always make sure I filled the whole cup because its important to give the good experience they paid for or do everything to make it right for them (even if i mess up but take responsibilityand fix it) , with or without giving me a tip so there is no good enough reason to serve coffee this way to anyone. This was from today, MAY 11TH, 8:57 AM. idk who is incharge around during that shift/workers but they need to be talked to/trained better by the owner or chose better and hard working people. Davien owners, please dont just hire anyone and hire people who love and appreciate to at least have a job. Inside has a few tables and does have wifi if you want to work, it does get pretty loud though with people conversing and the *very* loud air conditioning. Da Vien Coffee located in Cerritos, CA. This coffee shop just opened (May 2025) and has been a popular spot in the city. As soon as we stepped in, the line was long, but the workers were fast, so the wait was not too crazy. Da Vien Coffee is also located in Westminster, Garden Grove, and Stanton, California. We ordered several drinks from this location, all iced: Egg Cream Coffee, Marble Drip (most loved item), and the Salted Latte. Some of these drinks are sold as a hot option as well, but we felt like iced was the best way to enjoy them. All three of these drinks are Vietnamese Iced Coffee, but the only difference is the cream. However, the Marble Drip is Vietnamese coffee but with more condensed milk. Meanwhile, the Egg Cream contains a sweet creamy, yellow foam that does not taste like egg, but a sweet and whipped cream. It is known to be their most popular drink. The salted latte's uniqueness is the salty foam top, which deliciously blends the sweet condensed milk with the salted cream. All these drinks were phenomenal, and we highly recommend De Vien. They have online orders and their prices are very reasonable. They receive tons of customers and even received recognition from the City of Cerritos news!
