I ordered the seasonal Strawberry Matcha drink and it was delicious. It was very smooth, definitely good quality matcha. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. The strawberry puree was really good. Definitely one of the better matcha drinks I've had in a while. Location is rather small, there were a lot of people inside a confined area. I was feeling a bit claustrophobic. So happy there's a Da Vien closer by, but it was soooooooo crowded and small inside! It's definitely a better idea to order ahead and pick up because the line was out the door (it was around the time when they had just opened this location). It's so tight and small in there that I definitely wouldn't do work in there. I got the ube cream coffee and it hits the spot! I recommend getting less strong and either 50-75% sweet because this Vietnamese coffee is STRONG and SWEET, especially the Ube one. But still a delicious desert drink. Looks like there's a Da Vien in Cerritos now, n-i-c-e! I usually go to their OC location, but since it's too far, I couldn't visit often. Having a location in Cerritos saves me maybe 10 minutes! I came around mid-afternoon on Memorial Day, and the line was snaking out the door. However, it moved along reasonably fast. I waited about 15-20 minutes in total to get my order; but I did a mobile order while waiting in line. I ordered their Vietnamese Coffee for $6. I believe they use this as a base for their other specialty drinks. I know it's just their style, but I felt the espresso flavor was weak. You can add an extra shot for 85 cents, but the coffee-to-milk ratio leans heavily on the milk side. There's decent seating inside, but since I visited on a holiday, there wasn't anywhere to sit. It'd be nice if they had counter seats, but overall it's definitely a place you could hang out and bring your laptop to; if you go on a less busy day. I have a general impression that this place is efficient with orders, which is a big plus. I'd definitely visit again, and next time I'll order their specialty drinks! read more

Stopped by while with a friend while we were doing some shopping nearby because we needed a pick-me-up and we both had heard good things about this spot. Glad we decided to try it out! We both ordered the einspanner matcha latte with regular milk. The drinks honestly came out pretty quickly, especially given how busy they were at 6 PM on a Saturday evening. There was a good amount of seating inside, but all the tables were taken up, so it may be difficult to find seating if you're interested in drinking your drink inside. There was a thick layer of foam on top, which I appreciated. Some places skimp out on the cold foam, but Da Vien was definitely generous. The matcha flavor didn't seem too earthy - it was on the sweeter side, especially once the cold foam was mixed in (and I personally prefer sweeter matcha drinks). We decided to grab Da Vien Coffee and Sesame Latte. First of all, wow! The sesame latte is something else! It's definitely worth getting! There's a taste that I can't pinpoint that is very nice. It's strong and will definitely keep you up which I love! As for Da Vien coffee, it's good too but it seems like this is your regular iced coffee. Very disappointed in the drinks I purchased on Saturday May 31st. I went for the first time during the soft opening at Cerritos and the drink was absolutely delicious. I came back other time and again delicious. I went yesterday to bring a drinks for my daughters and my aunt because I had been expressing how fantastic the drinks were but to my surprise the drinks had barely any Ube cream and most of it was ice when I asked for less ice. I could not believe the quality of the drinks compared to my past experiences. I hope that this is not the way all the drinks will be presented or I will take my business elsewhere. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is perfect -- super clean, modern, cozy seating, and the friendliest baristas who actually know what they're doing. I got multiple drinks and it was INSANELY good -- perfectly sweet but not cloying, super smooth oat milk, and that espresso pulls through with zero bitterness. My partner tried the seasonal Matcha Latte and literally wouldn't shut up about it the rest of the day (in a good way ). Pastries are fresh too -- the croissant was flaky and buttery perfection. What really sets Davien apart is the consistency. I've been to several of these franchises about 6-7 times now and every single drink has been spot-on. No watered-down nonsense like some of the big chains nearby. Prices are fair for the quality you're getting, and they have plenty of plugs/outlets if you need to work or study. Today was the day and I was Uber stoked to try the coconut blended coffee cause I love smithing coconut. I also want to try the strawberry matcha. I highly suggest preordering! Easy process and no hassle. But...Do check out the location. It's not large but still a nice, modern place to enjoy your drink. The online orders have a separate area, similar to Starbucks pickup. Parking is easy and free here but unfortunately this is not my favorite location even though it's the closest to me :( I got an Ube Cream Coffee and half of it was ube and I saw other drinks with less at the top. Not sure if this is what it's supposed to be but even then it was all mostly ice. Too expensive for this although they're usually good when you say light ice. I would recommend that. I've gotten the banana matcha latte and strawberry matcha, and the marble coffee. All are good just ask for light ice and if you prefer less sweet if it's possible might be best. Average price $6-7. I went here with my sister for a quick midday pick me up and got there right before they closed. They are still in their soft opening so there's a few kinks to workout but it's expected! I got the Ube Matcha Latte and my sister went for the Coconut Matcha. - Ube Matcha: 8/10: It is a solid drink! I love the Ube Foam it's thick. When mixed together I taste more Ube than the matcha but I still like it! I got it with oat milk (one of the few drinks you can sub the milk you want). - Coconut Matcha: 9/10. My sister said it was refreshing, not too sweet and a great balance of flavors. She definitely recommends! I've been wanting to try Da Vien for a long, long time but I was never able to make it out to their locations. Lo and behold - an IG ad telling me a Cerritos location is opening and it's a 3 minute drive away! I came here for their soft opening in the middle of the day on a random Tuesday, and while the inside was pretty full of people, I was only behind one person in line. I ordered the Black Sesame Latte and it was so good! The black sesame foam tasted like the nostalgic ji-me-wu dessert and the coffee under it was strong and tasty. The staff was friendly and they do have a rewards system but you have to order through the app in order to get points. Unfortunately, I didn't have the app downloaded yet but she took down my phone number and said the manager would add the points later (though its been a few days now and no points, so I don't think it's happening). I also saw a machine to order inside. Parking is available as it's located next to a Target, but I think Da Vien is definitely bringing a crowd as I've never seen it so full on the side before. With this location so close, I feel very strongly that this is going to be my new Vietnamese coffee spot, and I cannot wait to try all the other drinks. read more

As a preface, I am a coffee snob who drinks macchiatos, cortados, black coffee and the occasional flavored latte It's a chain that id rank above Starbucks, peets, and coffee bean but that is not saying much. Their menu is highly highly catered to a sweeter taste profile and not coffee forward, however, they do make a einspanner. When I asked the employee at the register what kind of beans are used for their black coffee, he looked confused and said that yes, they do have black coffee available.
