Update: 1/21/26: gave it another try and absolute cluster, sigh (see inside crowd), I just left this happened before, but i let it slide and said nothing but it happened again, so i have to write; sometimes the wait for drink pickup at the counter is so absolutely slow (other reviews say this too), so slow that the long snaking drive thru line moves faster, i was shocked that they cleared out the long drive thru line while my app order placed ahead was delayed 15 mins past their delivery time for one drink, my wife got pissed and left but i went back in to wait for the drink, kicked off our christmas morning in a bad mood unfortunately (that silent pissed off quiet drive); i had told her it was likely faster to wait at the counter because the drive thru line was so long and i'd have to exit the lot to come in the other side because it was snaking away from us, i was so absolutely wrong; so the lesson appears to be pile into the drive through line and clog up the parking lot, because they will prioritize that over people who are quietly hidden inside the store not blocking traffic; drink was good though, wait is not read more

This place is dangerously good! Finally a place that took over this building that is perfect. And it's down the street from my home yay!!! The coffee actually has coffee, u can taste it and feel it work. The price is good and worth it. I like Starbucks which is just sugar, cream or milk. And cost an arm and a leg. I went here today to see what this location looks like. I've been to the Stanton location many times and I decided to try out this place for today. I walked in here and I thought that the WiFi for this place was the same as the one in Stanton, but it wasn't. But I'm thankful that there's a sign that shows us what the WiFi is for this place. The interior design is really lovely and the interior is superb just like the many other locations. This place has great parking and I was able to enjoy some time here. Since I'm a huge fan of the banana matcha latte, I decided to order two from this place. The barista, Josh, who did my order was really understanding of me despite my stammering and slight memory gaps triggered by my dissociative amnesia. He's honestly the best guy ever. I love Da Vien and am a regular customer! I love the fact that this location has a drive-thru for quick coffee runs, and the interior is very aesthetically pleasing and a great place to meet with friends or get some work done. The reason I am giving a 3 star rating is because how poorly this company executed their BOGO Marble Drip promotion today. With the promotion only being available for 2 hours today, I anticipated there to be a lot of people... However, I, the other customers, and even the poor workers could not have anticipated the shit show that was 2-4 PM! I felt bad for the workers for having to deal with such a huge rush of orders all of a sudden in the middle of a work day. The cafe was not adequately staffed for such a busy time. Many other Da Vien locations paused their orders for the time being, as there was such a huge influx of orders. Despite the business and chaos, this location still continued to accept mobile orders, even promoting a 5 minute pick up window. Many people who were at the store for the promotion were waiting for an hour or more for their orders, which is absolutely insane. The most frustrating part is that orders were coming in random orders. I am not sure what happened to the tickets as they were coming through, but many people were frustrated that people who had been waiting for less time started receiving their orders. Especially those who had been waiting for an hour or more. It was so chaotic that random kind customers started helping the workers by bagging drinks and calling out names, all the while still waiting for their own orders. The workers were doing their best despite the situation they were given, so I don't hold anything against them aside from the confusion regarding the correct order of drink orders.. I hope that management learns from what happened today so future promotions can run MUCH more smoothly. For the workers and customers. read more

I go here frequently, and this had been a recurring issue. The drinks are great, but the employees tend to stick near the drive thru window. I get it, they need to make drinks for the drive thru, BUT this makes them inattentive to the front counter. When it's like 7-8PM, (and not that busy), I would have to wait a while for someone to assist me because they usually huddle behind that glass panel to talk. This place is ridiculous. I've been coming here since they opened and notice recently all my drinks are 95% ice and 5% coffee.. if I request light ice they still fill the cup up with ice. I am going to the register and ordering (a matcha, latte, or viet coffee) with light ice they all give me a cup of ice with an oz of liquid. It literally feels like I am paying 5-7 $ for a plastic cup of ice and a small pour of coffee.. Happy that Da Vien is doing well and excited to see them continue to expand across OC! Stopped by here during their Soft Opening week. The Cypress location is bigger than its Garden Grove and Stanton counterparts. They have one kiosk order station if you want to use that instead of talking to the cashier. The new staff was super friendly as I was struggling with my Da Vien app and they were patient with me as I figured it out. Drinks are delicious as always. Love their matcha cream coffee! The drinks are great tasting but there is so much ice and they stopped making regular honey boba. Now it's a crystal brown sugar boba and many customers like me do not like that texture. A few of my friends and I that loved the boba were really disappointed. They also did not specify that the honey boba is now a crystal boba. It ruined the drink for me. Thankfully the staff was kind enough to remake the drink for me without the boba... but that was 80cents charged and not refunded. Tried a few of their drinks and the ham and cheese croissant. The drinks were good but the coffee strength to sweetness ratio was off. The marble drink was very creamy and good but I could barely taste the coffee. I think they need a stronger dark roast for their espresso shots or maybe I'll add extra shots in the future. The Vietnamese coffee was decent but still needed a little bit more umph. If I could compare it to Lee's coffee, I would say Lee's vietnamese coffee is a 10 and this is a 7.5. The croissant was unexpectedly the crown jewel for me. It was small and steaming hot. The cheese was oozing when I bit into it and it was very flavorful. Service was fast and easy to navigate through the automated machine, the app or at the counter. I also like the ambiance. It has plenty of room to do remote work, homework or just chill. read more

First, you're paying extra (about 1$) for the Ube latte compared to other drinks, that means it should actually have the Ube foam on top. I noticed that they were going to open a da vien down the street from the office that I work at a couple of months back. I didn't actually go into the store but my coworker went and picked up drinks for us in office! I got the matcha ube and it was so good! It had a good mixture of sweet and umami! I would recommend! I was excited for the Cypress opening but after I gave it a try. I don't know if I'm going back. I am almost positive that they changed their bean. It's not bold and dark anymore. I got a classic Vietnamese coffee today and even with an extra shot of espresso, it tastes like a water down coffee. I used to be obsessed with Da vien Coffee given how strong and bold their coffee was. It gave a dark brown color. And you can already feel the coffee kick the first sip you took. Now it's light brown milky color. Tastes quite bland :( As a Vietnamese person, I do NOT approve their Vietnamese coffee. Maybe it's catered to the non Vietnamese people now they are expanding so much! Also I asked for less ice, and they still gave me 3/4 cup of ice. Maybe their baristas are still under training. But overall not impressed and wont come back unless they have another seperate item on the menu for a special Vietnamese coffee made for Vietnamese :) If you try Trung Nguyen, Viland, Sip, or Re coffee.
