I usually stop by Da Vien Coffee every weekend, and it has become one of my favorite coffee shops. Around 7:00 AM, the café is usually quiet, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful morning with a cup of coffee. I normally order my coffee with 50% caffeine because it works better for me. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for it this time, so I ended up getting the regular strength. It was a little too strong for me, and I felt some heart palpitations and discomfort afterward. That was completely my mistake, not the café's. Their egg coffee is also very delicious and definitely worth trying. It is rich, creamy, smooth, and has a wonderful balance between the strong coffee flavor and the sweet egg cream on top. It is one of the drinks I really enjoy whenever I come here. The drinks are beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is relaxing as always. I'll definitely be back--next time I'll just remember to order my usual 50% caffeine. I've been a fan of Da Vien since their opening at the Westminster location. I was in the area so you know I had to give this location a try. I am actually impressed how consistent their drinks are and how well they are make it every time. Today I decided to try the strawberry matcha and the einspanner matcha latte. The strawberry matcha was a little on the sweeter side so perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The einspanner matcha is especially good for those who like the authentic matcha taste. A little on the less sweeter side, but well balanced with the cream they have on top. Make sure you mix the drink well before sipping. The service was exceptional, they have kiosks to order but you can order with the employee. The interior was very spacious, perfect spot to study or to hangout. read more

I ordered the matcha, and it was so yummy -- it really hit the spot, especially since it had been a while since I last had matcha. Next time, I definitely want to try their coffee. I love Vietnamese coffee, so I have high hopes for it when I come back. I used to love going to 7 Leaves to get my Vietnamese coffee fixes. And then BAM!! I discovered Da Vien recently in the neighborhood and haven't stopped going there daily ever since. My favorite is the DV Coffee with the thick cream top, their matcha Einspanner, banana latte, and their new strawberry cream oat matchas. Their matcha flavor is very delicate and has a similar flavor to melted Haagen Daz matcha ice cream. I like them even though I normally prefer the dark and earthy uji matcha flavors. I also appreciate how quickly my drinks are ready and very very little waiting involved. This location has nice seatings inside and also a drive thru. It's also one of the very few places that opens before 0700 that's not a Starbucks. Definitely a great business move on their part. If you're looking for a well crafted 7 Leaves alternative that's not too sweet, this place is it! The pricing is also reasonable and the variety is great. I was recommended to try Da Vien by a friend of mines, and he definitely put me on! There are multiple locations and most of them have drive-thrus. For instance, this location has a drive-thru along with lots of available seating and outlets for doing work/studying. Anywho, I've been meaning to write this review for awhile as I come by kinda frequent which is embarrassing to admit. Even though I've heard great things about their egg coffee, I usually order matcha. I've tried a good portion of the matcha latte flavors they feature on their menu such as sesame, ube, banana, einspanner, and caramel (which isn't on the menu anymore). Side note: I always order my lattes less sweet with less ice. The sesame matcha is my favorite as it has a nutty balanced flavor. The banana and ube matchas are more like dessert lattes to me. I've only gotten the einspanner matcha once since the cream was too thick/heavy in my opinion. The caramel matcha wasn't my favorite so I didn't even realize that it was removed from the menu. Great convenient spot for this newest Da Vien location! We stopped by after lunch for some afternoon coffee. We did mobile ordering first and it was ready when we arrived. This location has plenty of parking in the large lots on both sides of the building. There is plenty of seating inside for those looking for a study spot or a place to come hangout with friends. Ahead of the Da Vien opening up in Milpitas, NorCal, of course I had to come down to OC to see what the hype was all about. With some of the best marketing in the game, the Da Vien brand name undoubtedly is firmly entrenched in everyone's heads, including mine, so just finally seeing so many in person driving around the area was quite mind boggling. For no particular reason, I decided to stop at this random one in Cypress to finally see for myself. This particular branch is spacious and airy, and kind of reminds me of a Burger King or Carl's Jr. with the layout. I'm not from this area, so I'm not sure what it used to be, but I'd be willing to bet it was a former fast food chain location. I could totally envision this being a popular spot for students and workers to set up their laptops to get some serious work done. Heck, I know I certainly would! The staff is quick, efficient, relatively friendly, and gets the job done. Since this location is pretty established already, there wasn't a line in the early evening when I visited, and everything went without a hitch. Oh, and what did I order, do you ask? Since it was my first time here, I wanted to ease myself into it, so I got something simple, yet one of their "signature" items. Large Matcha Cream Coffee with 30% sugar, and no ice was on tap! And let me tell you, the hype is absolutelly warranted! The taste was just as good if not better than advertised. I can't wait to try many of the other offerings! It was definitely worth the time and effort, and I genuinely look forward to patronizing the branch closer to home on a regular basis! Perhaps I'll camp out there with my laptop to "work from home!" I've always had pretty good experience here. As a matter fact, last few times I came here it was good. But this time for some reason it was different. They missed my drink. I had to wait almost 15 minutes before I was able to pick up my drink and I had to follow up several times. They were very apologetic and they were busy, but I'm not sure what happened. Did a drive thru on a rainy day and went straight through with no line. We ordered a marble drip and banana matcha. Both are great. The marble drip was the perfect sweetness and my boyfriend enjoyed it very much. I got less ice on my banana match and it was perfect. The banana cream is lovely. Im not a drink person and was going to rate a different spot as a 4/5 but now tasting this is a TRUE 5/5 and the other spot is now a 3/5. Its THAT much better. My latest coffee obsession! Loving all the Da Vien locations and like how they are expanding into my hood! The Cypress location is the closest to my house and maybe even one of the best locations since it has a super spacious indoors with a ton of seating so great for hanging out with friends or getting some studying done. The parking lot is just for them so good amount of parking and they have a drive through. Now in terms of drinks, all of their coffee drinks are amazing! Their locations are popping up all over different parts of OC and I love it because I tend to pass by this one more than the one on Beach Blvd or GG Blvd. There's a drive thru with plenty of parking in the plaza. My top three favorites are Sesame Latte, Brown Sugar Fresh Milk, and Strawberry Milk Matcha (seasonal item), but other items aren't too far behind. Marble Drip is the most popular item here. Can't say much about service as I haven't had too much interaction with any staff members. I always order at the kiosk unless someone is already using it. I rarely had to wait in line to place an order, and my drinks have always come out pretty quickly. Place is spacious with decent amount of tables and chairs, but they are almost always taken up by students studying. Came here for the midweek BOGO for the matcha einspanner. Drink was delicious, not too sweet but also not very earthy. The einspanner foam had a little saltiness to it, it was perfect. While staying at the family house where my sisters and I grew up, my younger sis and I decided to go on an evening walk through nearby neighborhoods to conjure up good memories of familiar and favorite places from a long time ago, such as houses where schoolmates used to live in, favorite but long gone stores and fast food places that were tucked deep in our minds. While still out and about, I suddenly got a great idea to find a close place for a boba drink. This sounded good to my sis, but the closest place that was open was a mile away. Sis wanted to go on a brisk walk anyway, so off we ventured. Da Vien Coffee in a stand alone shop with a good amount of seating. Even though I ended up visiting Da Vien 5 times total over a span of 30 days when I intermittently stayed at the family home, the only drink I ever ordered was the lychee jasmine tea with boba with 30% sweetness and less ice. Yes, I think the mix of real thick lychees (two real lychees without the seeds), with bits of lychee at the bottom along with boba, is so refreshing that I highly recommend this drink! Plus the drink was priced decently at $6 (plus another 85 cents of boba). Lots of parking is available in the shared parking lot that is for the nearby businesses. This place also has a drive through for those of you in a hurry. The inside of the shop is inviting, with lots of light and tables - it's a great place to meet with friends. The order counter is staffed by quick and welcoming employees. I wish I could say that the orders were always correct, but they weren't. A couple of times I had ordered and paid for boba, and had to remind them after they called my name that the order was supposed to include boba. The menu does not have a lot of items on it, but it does include matcha lattes, fruit teas, a milk tea, coffees and regular lattes. Congrats Da Vien on their second drive thru location! Parking: There's a medium sized parking lot. Finding a spot can either be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: Instead of going through their drive thru, I wanted to sit inside. I thought their Stanton location was big, but this is probably their largest location. The inside is spacious with a lot of seating. Very clean and modern. Perfect spot for a hangout and to get some work done. It wasn't too busy for a Thursday. Service: I mobile ordered ahead. There's a self ordering kiosk on the left of the line, and the register is on the right of the line. The only interaction I had was with the cashier to pick up my order. Drinks: I picked up coffee for my cousins and I. My go-to is the Egg Cream Coffee. I love how the sweet foam balances with the bitterness of the Vietnamese coffee. I've been getting 50% sweetness with easy ice. Their matcha is also premium. I'm honestly so disappointed with this place. I went to Davien in Cypress (Valley View & Cerritos Ave), and my drink was basically a cup full of ice with barely any actual beverage. Like seriously... what am I even paying for? It felt like I got ripped off. The flavor was okay, but you can't even enjoy it when half (or more) of the cup is just ice. I took a few sips and it was already almost gone. Not worth the price at all. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least give a decent amount of drink. This was just frustrating. New(ish) Vietnamese coffee shop that is such a great addition to the Cypress neighborhood! We ordered via the kiosk but were still greeted by one of the staff! Place is spacious, clean, and seemed like a great place to study and do some work. I got the banana matcha and my mom got the Vietnamese coffee, both with 50% sugar and we could tell they were made with quality ingredients. Everything was just right, so there were no adjustments needed but I saw a little sign that if we're not satisfied with our drink they are happy to remake it!
