    Samosa Dosa

Was craving tikka masala and daddy ji's DID NOT disappoint! Very delicious and fresh!! Tikka masala was delicious (and toddler approved) we tried the samosa dosa, however I think next time we will just try the regular veggie samosa. Samosa dosa was good, but wasn't our favorite. The tandoori wings were delicious and piping hot, didn't catch what kind of dipping sauce they served with it but it was very good. The garlic naan -- soooo fresh, hot and tasty. Have to mention the guava soda, which was perfectly sweet. Service was great, food came out fast and the restaurant has nice decor/wall art. It's a smaller place with maybe 12(give or take) tables. We came on a Wednesday around 7 and didn't have to wait, however there was a constant flow of people wanting to dine in and tables were filling easily. Can't wait to come back.

Explored the modern Indian cuisine in Claremont. Service staff is very friendly and kind, elaborating on different items on the menu with us. Food tastes GREAT but the wait was terribly long. We ordered the lamb shank and it was recommended to go with white rice. Naan was done with precision and profession! Ambiance quite cozy, European, and exotic. I saw many tables of friends and family gathering. Good for a hang out with groups and share all delicious Indian foods. Oh and I forgot to mention, the price is economic for good quality food. +1

Delicious food, friendly staff, comfy seating, and beautiful interior. What more can a gal on a lunch break ask for? My coworkers introduced me to Daddy Ji's and I believe this will be a regular lunch spot. We all ordered their Lunch Special, which is from Monday to Fridays 11 to 3 pm. The Lunch Special Punjabi Thali (Plate) comes with 1 dal, 2 veggie sides, rice, and naan or roti. You can choose from garlic, plain naan, or roti, then you choose the type of plate you like. I got their Butten Chicken Plate and golly, it was delicious! The Lunch Special is served in a beautiful gold plate with multiple small bowls to hold the dishes. My butter chicken was velvety rich in tomato flavor and the chicken was tender and beautifully married wth the buttery gravy. I'd come back just to have another bite of their Butter Chicken! I also wanted to try one of their drinks, so I ordered a Iced Saffron Chai with Boba (No Milk). I've never had this drink before, and I am so glad I did because it is absolutely delicious. It's refreshing, bright, and has an almost delicate and sweet-spicy aroma to it. While eating our lunch specials, we sat in their comfy blue velvet seats and enjoyed the ambiance. The staff members came to check on us multiple times, and were very quick to refill our waters, and are very friendly and sweet people. We all left with happy smiles and full bellies. I can't wait to come back with more friends!

Cute Indian restaurant in Claremont. We went for lunch so tried one of their lunch items and got 2 appetizers. I love chaat so we had to try the papri chaat, pretty typical chaat so can't complain. My husband tried the chicken 65 and actually liked that it was saucier than other places even though the extra sauce makes it a little less crispy than the usual. He thought the extra sauce was worth the hit on crispiness. We got the paneer tikka naan roll which was huge! Easily feeds two people. We definitely had leftovers. Will be back!

Great service. Gabby was very personable. Food is a 3.5. Samosa is good and tasty. Vindaloo feels like it's missing some thing. The eggplant is better. Pat gave us a free dessert in exchange for a review. It was a bit strange to have the staff standing there waiting is to finish the review.

We had to wait a bit before being seated, but it was worth it. Very clean place with a really great staff. I almost never order pop because I shouldn't have it, but their Guava Soda sounded too enticing to pass up. It was like a better, cleaner tasting version of the guava jarritos and I couldn't stop drinking it! Super yummy! Foodwise, we got the following: - Mysore Masala Dosa - this was good, but it was really thin. The filling is tasty and it would've been nice if there was more of it so we could taste it more. The little bit of lentil soup that came with it was tasty too. - Garlic Naan - garlicy and seasoned nicely. It had a nice crisp to it as well. - Lamb Biryani - I love biryani and this was definitely the most colorful one I've ever had. It had a really nice amount of seasoning and flavor to every bite. The one downside is there really wasn't a lot of lamb pieces in the dish itself. My guy and I had to dig to find it, which is a shame because they were good quality pieces. Overall, super good and would come back. Was a bit disappointed by the lack of stuffing in the dosa and lack of lamb pieces in the biryani. Flavorwise, I can see why this is on the top 100 list.

Good Indian eats at Claremont Village? I'm down! On a Sunday evening, Daddy Ji was busy but they were able to seat me, a single diner, within 10 minutes. Smallish, modern decor, every seat packed. My order was taken quickly and multiple servers checked in on me throughout the meal, excellent service. Chicken Tikka Masala - Served in a pot with tender chunks of white meat, the dish was fragrant and spicy, but not hot spicy. Spicy as in full of various spices. I ordered a 7 on their heat meter and felt zero hot spiciness. If you want to feel some burn, go for a 10. Even without the heat, I still enjoyed the dish. Their version leans a little more creamy over tomato flavor. Garlic Naan - A good sized serving, their bread is lightly toasty but pillowy, thicker than the average that I have had at various restaurants. It's buttery with with the right amount of chopped garlic mixed in. If you want some naan, get this. Basmati Rice - I ordered the large portion, which was $1 more than the small and comes on a metal plate. If you get the small order, it comes in a bowl. The large portion is almost double the amount of the small and is good for one very hungry person or two moderately hungry people. I had a little bit leftover at the end, but still felt that ordering the large was the right call for me. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. I think three or four different servers asked if I needed anything. My order was taken quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. Their dining floor seems ideal for parties of 1-8 people. If I'm back in the area I would definitely come back!

What a delight to visit this divine Indian restaurant. We checked in via Yelp and had to wait a bit to get a table upon arriving. It was well worth it. The interior decor is very nice. We tried several items, and I was equally impressed with each one. The veggie samosas are served with a mint yogurt sauce and a sweet sauce. Delish! We had the potato dosa, which came with a coconut sauce, a carrot sauce, and a small bowl of lentil-veggie soup. I think this was my favorite item. I really enjoyed the pani puri, which you assemble yourself with potatoes, garbanzo beans, and another delightful sauce. We ordered the chicken tikka masala which is made with dark chicken meat. It was flavorful, though I wish we had upgraded the spice level. We ended the meal with Ras Malai, which was served cold and is soft paneer, very light, spongy cheese dumplings soaked in sugar and condensed milk. This was divine, and I wished I had ordered another. Now I have to go back!! I forgot to mention that the service here was outstanding. Multiple people came by our table to deliver food, answer questions, and refill our water glasses. It had a team-oriented environment that I really appreciated.

We were excited to finally try Daddy Ji Finest Indian Cuisine after seeing it featured on Yelp's Top 100 U.S. Restaurants for 2025 -- expectations were definitely high going in. The restaurant sits in a nice, clean part of Claremont with mostly street parking available, though there's also a parking garage just a few streets away if you don't mind a short walk. Inside, the space felt welcoming, tidy, and comfortable for a casual lunch or dinner. Our kind waitress helped guide our order and recommended the Tikka Masala and Coconut Curry, which we happily went with. Service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast -- always appreciated when dining with kids or on a tight schedule. Both dishes were flavorful and enjoyable. The sauces were rich and comforting, and portions were solid. That said, while everything was good, it didn't quite reach best-Indian-food-I've-ever-had status for me personally. Still, it's a reliable option in the area and an easy stop when we're nearby. Since it's conveniently close to my kids' pediatrician, I can definitely see myself coming back and exploring more of the menu on a future visit. Good food, friendly service, clean atmosphere -- and worth trying at least once, especially given the national recognition.

Butter chicken platter. So flavorful, so delicious. I ordered it mild but you can choose your spice level. All this for $14.99.

Our family loves Daddy Ji. Their decor, presentation, and food are all top notch and very aesthetic. We love their lunch specials! You get a good variety of yummy food to choose from and on your plate. The wraps look delish, the apps, the Asian inspired sound amazing too! As creatures of habits though we usually get the coconut curry, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and tikka masala lunch platters. So much food! Of course we can't visit Daddy Jis without a mango lassi or peach lassi! The service here is very good as well. Everyone is polite, nice, and very helpful.

Nice place , great vibe and crowd. We came here for lunch, place was crowded but we got seated right away. All servers are very nice , their smile made my day! We ordered lunch special plates. I was happy to see that they had Palak paneer and daal makhani as side dishes ... yumm Butter chicken plate: This plate comes with chicken curry, 2 veg curries , daal, rice and choice of roti. Food was hot and fresh. Butter chicken has very nice Smokey flavour which we love. It was mild with sweet and tangy notes. Mutton curry plate: same as above. We ordered it spicy. The level was still medium for us. Chicken curry plate: chicken curry was tangy and had good presentation. I would have preferred more spice. Overall food is good and this place is very well maintained.

We just had lunch at Daddy Ji and it was incredible! We walked in and were seated immediately in really comfy chairs. The friendly server came over right away with water and took our order. I had the coconut chicken curry lunch special and my husband had the chicken tikka masala special. My coconut chicken was sweet and a little creamy. I only had three pieces of chicken which I was a bit surprised by but it was delicious. My husband's tikka masala was spicy and earthy. He had quite a bit more chicken than I received. All the sides were flavorful and the naan was hot and tasty (although a bit thick). We will definitely go back to try out some more items on the menu. If you are in the area, stop by Daddy Ji's!

This really is the finest Indian cuisine and I am so happy they are here! Every thing we had was never had before and it was superb! I now know why there's always a line and best to make reservations. I appreciated the tanginess in the dosa, the complexity of the chaat, the wholesomeness of the paneer curry dish which I can't remember the name, the tenderness of the lamb shank and the uniqueness of the naan. I was hoping the lamb would be a bit more explosive in flavor like the other dishes but it was still fantastic. Overall, I absolutely loved my dining experience here, it was so much food that I am ready to eat my leftovers. The wait staff was even nice enough to let us know that it was a lot of food for two. Definitely a highlight of my birthday meals.

It was a huge hit with our guests, and people were still talking about it the next day at the wedding--even weeks later. The curry is also well-spiced and flavorful. (IMPORTANT INFO: Bring cash. There's an additional 4% fee for card payments. Also, this location accepts EBT.) I arrived at Curry Time (Pomona) on Monday (around 4:25PM). Parking is easy. The lot is fairly empty. Staff is very friendly, curious, and welcoming. Staff repeatedly attempted conversation. Staff even appeared surprised that I'd chosen to dine-in. The food arrived very quickly since the curry sat on hot trays. As mentioned, I ordered the "2 Item Combo" ($15.99) and "Garlic Naan upgrade" (additional $1). The naan tasted buttery and hot; the garlic flavor was fairly muted, so I don't think the upgrade was worth it. Thankfully, the rice tasted very fresh and clean. For the "2 Item Combo," I chose Butter Chicken Curry and Goat Curry (additional $1.50 charge). The Butter Chicken is DELICIOUS!! Its chicken is tender & juicy, and its curry is thick, creamy, and well-seasoned. I happily embraced its light spicy kick. Concerning the Goat Curry, the sauce is heavier and savory. Unfortunately, the Goat Curry's protein tasted bitter, chewy, and almost rubbery; there's also many bones. Still, both curries felt well-intentioned and thoughtful. I left full and happy, Regarding ambiance, Curry Time (Pomona) felt a little run down and dingy. The corners didn't look well swept. Thankfully, the tables are smooth and clean. This location does not have a restroom, but there's a small hand sanitizer bottle for customers. Also, the location plays no music, but the flat screen TV plays youtube videos. Unfortunately, the main sound is an intrusive humming coming from the machine sitting by the entrance. The location is fairly cramped with its five tables. However, this place feels more like an order-and-leave spot. Overall, I created good memories at Curry Time (Pomona). The food is tasty and affordable! I also genuinely enjoyed the Butter Chicken. If searching for delicious Indian food, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5

Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area.
