Second time here, the bulgogi was saltier than last time. The potato salad banchan was too sweet. But service has been excellent (frequently refill water, banchan, and they are very friendly) both times. The lunch specials and appetizers are priced reasonably (ends at 3pm weekdays). The meat is not oily compared to other korean bbq establishments. Seating is plentiful and clean, atmosphere is approrpriate and I like that they have garage like windows which is convenient for the summer months. Worst Korean BBQ in town. It's a weekend rip off. From the very start, the waitress was unable to communicate their service policy. It's suppose to be an all you can eat, but there is a service charge for more condiments and a extra bowl or rice? Still baffled. The food is not very good in comparison to typical Korean BBQ standards. Kolbi beef was tough and overly fatty. Pork was subpar as well. The side dishes are minimal, bland, and uneventful. $3 cup of tea was a tea bag. Surprised that they didn't charge for hot water. It's also very expense for what they delivery in quantity and quality. Place is dark and cold as are the waiters. Do yourself and your pocketbook a favor, skip Dae Gee. We sat at the cook yourself tables, and would order more meat as we placed the raw ones on the rack (they were busy that night, so we'd order the meats early, and by the time we were done with the first serving, we werent waiting around to cook). I've been to all of the Dae Gees around town and this one just didn't measure up. The meat seemed like it was a poor quality and the marinade just didn't taste right to me. We found this place on the list of top 5 restaurants in Denver to eat and thought we would give it a try. Got the unlimited for $24 and ordered everything. Very pleased we walked out stuffed and we just love the experience of cooking our food at a tabletop grill. Compared to the other bbq places we have been to however the menu was kind of limited and appetizers are not included in the all you can eat. The short ribs are one per person unless you do the upgrade for $10 to have unlimited short ribs. Although the short ribs were good I didn't feel like paying $10 extra for that. Flavor was good on the meat but the chicken just tasted like regular chicken. They also have dipping sauces that range from mild to hot and were delicious and not too too hot. But be warned their chairs are benches and are unstable, people kept falling over and their tables are too close together so it's a bit tight. But overall I was pleased and if in the area would probably consider going back. read more

Just moved from orange county CA and this is the first AYCE BBQ i found in CO.. went with our toddler. We had a great experience! loved that the side windows roll up in the upper portion of the restaurant. kimchi was deelish and so was the pork belly side dish.. all the side dishes were good. the meat came out quickly and someone was always there to check on us! owner was super friendly esp with our toddler! made me feel so much better knowing there was a good AYCE bbq close to us :) read more

This is the place to try out Korean BBQ. I was visiting from California and found this spot to meet my friends who are new to the area. We were all impressed. They just opened so the restaurant is still shiny and new... The food was great-all you can eat BBQ. The grill tops are right in the table and they bring you raw meat which you cook yourself. Lots of condiments are included to make rice bowls or lettuce wraps. Everything is refillable. My friend loved the spicy pork and my fave was the beef bugogi (rib eye). The service was alright, but they've only been open a week, so I hope the servers will warm up a bit as they get settled. First of all, customer service was the worst, the waitress, she was the mean and not friendly at all. Food taste was not so good. We decided to give it a try after seeing all of the rave reviews on yelp and being featured on Triple D. I called and spoke with a very nice gentleman and made the reservation seamlessly. First off, I must say that the quality & flavors were absolutely amazing but unfortunately the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We had a total party of 6 to celebrate my daughters birthday, so nothing too large to be able to handle on a Wednesday night. Our initial round of meat & sides were delivered and we took about 30 mins to eat that first portion. 45mins had passed by and still no sight of our waitress. I went to the bar area where I found her at the computer, asked her for more sides, meats and water...15 more minutes passed and no sight of her still. There was maybe only about 2 other tables in our section with people at that time. She finally came by because she had to bring the other tables their sides and water. I waved her down, she came over empty handed again and asked if we needed anything. At this point, we had been there for over an hour with only 1 serving and nothing else...not even water. We had to ask for her to remove the empty side dishes. After being given her numerous excuses of why she couldn't get to us (supposedly because she was busy with her 2 other tables and that the chicken & meat needed to be "prepared"...ummm, hasn't it been marinating for a few hours by this point?). I told her that this bad service and the excuses don't need to be explained to ALL of us when we here to celebrate my daughters birthday. I asked her to work on making it right instead of wasting more of our time to explain herself for not attending to us for over an hour. Instead of working on bringing out the food, she sent another waitress over to explain to us why the service was slow and that she was training her. Why would you put someone that's "training" to tend to a birthday party? Never again, I told my husband I want to start coming to Dae Gee for my birthday. It was so much better at half the price. The brisket it my favorite but all the meats are so great! All you can eat Korean BBQ for 2 hr before tighter restrictions- The food was phenomenal! We felt safe and properly distant from other diners while eating. The wait staff was informative for our first time and we were able to dig right in. I've been to one of their other locations for Korean BBQ but on this visit, my Wife wanted to specifically try their bimbimbap and I wanted to inhale some delicious short ribs. The Bimbimbap was good, but my short ribs were extremely chewy. Not sure what happened with this visit, but it was SO disappointing. The last time we went to dae gee on Colorado we had a terrible experience with service. We used to frequent this location before dae gee took it over. They did a great job with the remodel! This is a basic KBBQ for beginners. They're sauces are pre packaged. The meat options are limited and small. The sides are all you can eat. I am glad the Havana location treated us better!
