Incredible food!!! Their unlimited bbq was awesome, their bbq sauce was great when we put it on the grill itself. Cooking the brisket, the ribs, the pork loin, and everything else was just so great, even though we weren't the best with cooking he food we knew it was done haha, it was all so delicious, the grill was changed 3 times while we were there which was SUPER NICE! Enjoyed trying all the meats with the unlimited meal. Would like to see more portions on their sides, or being to pick the ones we like. A little pricey since we didn't eat a lot, but definitely worth the price if you are hungry and like to cook your own food. It's been years since I've ate at Dae Gee and the quality was excellent before, but I was surprised at how it continually just continues to taste even better. The staff there are always concerned about the needs of customers. Waiting tables at a Korean BBQ restaurant is a difficult and peculiar job. It's easy to be overwhelmed by the many different types of dishes and sorts, but the knowledgeable staff there makes the experience completely comfortable for first timers and the veterans alike. I have been to a lot of difference Korean restaurants and this is really middle of the road. Korean food is always good so I have a high bar to begin with but when my bowl came out, it had a raw egg on it. No where did the menu say raw! Sure it gets cooked when you mix it in the hot food/stone bowl but i didn't want to scramble my egg in to cook it. I like the texture of pan fried eggs and no other place gave me a raw egg before. Would have been nice to know that upfront so I can tell them How I want my egg. And when I asked them, they said to just scramble it in. Well geez I figured that but that's not what I wanted. Came here for Valentine's Day with the family. We've had our share of Korean bbq over the years and consider ourselves experienced. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated to the grill section. The grill was turned on and surprisingly wasn't greased to ensure nothing stuck..our server arrived with the sides and I was speechless with how scarce they were. I'm sure they intentionally minimized their rations to ensure less waste, however, that was insulting lol. The waiter came around once and asked if we'd like more, but after we had to stop him and ask for more, I was honestly annoyed. I wish they'd automatically refill what was empty on the table. Same with the rice..I had two bowls and by the time I asked for another one, it seemed to bother him. Being 7 months pregnant, all I wanted to do was eat and he made me uncomfortable. I had to ask my husband to request another bowl of rice for me so I wouldn't have to get that "look". Eventually, another waiter came and asked us whether we'd like more meat. I asked for more pork belly, and she asked "how many". At this point, I was frustrated and ready to go. Again, I understand they're trying to ration things out and prevent waste, but we paid a total of $78 for all you can eat. All I wanted was to satisfy my craving! We ended up leaving and for those who are wondering, we weren't excessive eaters. We had the initial sides, 6 extra cucumber slices, the meat platter, and 3 extra bowls of rice. We definitely could have gotten our moneys worth in a regular Korean hole in the wall. read more

I am not sure how staff here could get away with being so disrespectful to customers. My boyfriend and I came in here wanting a nice date. We spent a lot of money and the food did not make up for the way we were treated at all. It was a young woman in her twenties being very disrespectful to me and my boyfriend. There are many other locations for Korean BBQ I suggest you go elsewhere. I wish I could give this place no star. read more

Dae Gee was a big disappointment for me. The meat was tough as a boot, broth in soup was bland, even with the addition of salt, and I had to ask for a knife and fork to cut up the chunks of meat. Terrible experience, will never go back there. read more

Just tried this place based on other reviews and I must say the reviews were right on. The staff was friendly, prompt and helpful. The zucchini pancakes are a must order. My husband had the bulgogi and he said it was exceptional. All the side dishes were tasty and you can eat all you want. The last thing I would recommend is to wear pants with elastic waist band because you will leave with a full, well satisfied belly! read more

Took some visiting friends here for a dinner. The food was pretty good but service was crap (hence the 2-star rating). We got 3 extra rice since the kids didn't order entrees and we were told that invalidates the "unlimited side dishes" on the menu. We would have to paid $5.50 per person to get more side dishes - which would be 33 dollars more for extra kimchi (!!!). Not 5 minutes after we finished eating they cleared out our table including the water and set the table for the next customers (while we were still sitting there). read more

My first experience with Korean food. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the galbee tang. The waitress was friendly and helpful, patiently answering all of my questions. The meat was a little chewy; however still good. The broth was very satisfying... reminded me of the broth that accompanies pho ga, clear and flavorful. The side dishes- yes!!! A couple I didn't really like. They were good just not for me. Since it was my first time I tried everything. I thought I would have something else after the soup. Nope. A friend and I went here for the first time., had no idea what we were doing. We were asked dine in or bbq. We decided bbq. We were taken up the stairs to a table with a grill in it (thinking "oh wow, okay!). They brought us our menus and we didn't exactly know what the best choice was. The pricing was great for trying what we wanted. Staff brought us our food but we didn't know exactly how long or what to put where. A lady helped us out but was a bit rude and seemed like she just wanted us to leave. Other than that, a great experience all around. We used to love this place but it's service is going downhill. We sat a bit before 9:00PM. They close at 10:00PM. We had no problem ordering but people that came in a little after 9:00 were basically being convinced to turn around. Servers saying they need to hurry to order. People seated in the upper section were moved down walking with their drinks. I assume they were trying to close off and clean that section. I understand how a restaurant works but damn. The whole time they were banging dishes and had buckets of silverware on the bar counter they were polishing. Super loud and seemed like a hint to get us out. Plus sides, our server was great! He was super nice and kept refilling our side dishes. And the food was really tasty. Downsides, they only gave me a half filled thing of sake. I've been there plenty of times and it sucks that they wouldn't give me what I paid for. We were going to order more meat but they just walked by and turned our stove off and wouldn't return until they brought the check. This is before 9:30. So we for sure had time. Every time we've been there they are out of the first few beers we try to order. Like why have them on the menu...The worst part was seeing how off put the people trying to order after 9:00PM were. It was obvious they felt rushed to order or leave. I really wish I didn't have to rant about this place because it really is a cool spot.
