I was recommended by a fellow coworker , got to say he wasn't wrong about this spot. Totally lived up to my taste buds. I ordered a bacon avocado burger combo . Loved that the burger bun was seeded bread . A 10/10 on the burger . Now the fries I was shocked because it was a whole brown lunch bag full of fries. They hooked it up and they were 10/10 for me . People working there were very nice , I even saw them bringing the food to the people when they ordered to eat at the spot. I highly recommend and will continue to come here. I was super excited to try Daglas because I REALLY love fries! Like can I marry them? Because I totally would. But the fries at Daglas were just okay. We had an alright first date and I would probably give them another chance just to see, but unfortunately, there were no sparks. I think the fries have major potential. Did you see the size of that bag? It's huge! A regular size order is definitely enough for 2-3 people. And they were pretty salty, which is exactly how I like them. However, I think they could be a lot crispier. There were some crispy bits in there that I loved, but generally they were a little soft in my opinion. The burger was ok, except it was kind of wet. I'm thinking they didn't do a good job drying off the shredded lettuce because by the time I got home, my bun had a soggy bottom. Oh yes, and despite the name, Daglas is NOT a drive in! Err drive thru? You have to park in the back at the lot they share with Cupid's next door. Next time, I'll give thet pastrami a try and see if I can get my fries well done! read more

I've ordered delivery from here several times since the pandemic, the food is really good. I love their burgers they have that classic old fashioned taste that you only get from small local places. I love their fries they're seasoned quite well and you get a lot enough to share or for two meals. Now I was reading other people reviews and people were complaining about the price of a pastrami sandwich , the reason why the pastrami sandwich is expensive is because pastrami is an expensive meat, so if you're going to get a pastrami sandwich be prepared to pay a bit more, but their burgers are pretty well priced . Surprisingly this place had wifi when I went there in person two years ago before the pandemic. I just do delivery now so I don't know if they still have wifi. read more

This is a local Valley burger joint hidden next to Cupid's hotdog. I ordered the cheeseburger and their signature chili fries. The burger was very average, but I have to say they put wayyy to much mayo. The chili fries were good, but it's a bit different than the typical ones you'd try. It's sweet not sure how I felt about that but I definitely liked it more than the burger. I felt like the size of the portions were not extraordinarily big which is what brings me to my next point.. I think even with the "Covid tax" it seems pretty pricey for the meal.. All in all, Id honestly rather go for in n out with animal fries which is way cheaper. read more

A step up from Tommy's Burgers! Location: Daglas is located right off Vanowen and Winnetka in Canoga Park. It's a small joint but you can't miss the tall white sign. Parking is located in the back and it's limited (max 6 cars). There is an overflow lot next to Daglas in case the main lot is full. I got there pretty late at night so I found parking pretty quick. Ambience: Daglas has an old school diners feel to it. You walk up to the counter and order your food. There is a small indoor seating area if you choose to dine in. Service: The customer service was great. The girl who too our order was polite, patient, and helpful. We ordered our food to go and wait about 7-8 minutes. The restaurant is surrounded by clear windows so you can see the chefs make your food. Food: I ordered a Daglas burger and chili cheese fries based on all the photographs I had seen on Yelp. The fries were awesome. They are loaded with chili, cheese, and onions. The chili itself wasn't overpowering or meaty which I'm always afraid of. The Daglas burger was good but the meat patty was small and not as flavorful as I would of liked it. Overall, I'd definitely go back here and order the chili fries and try a different burger or their famous pastrami sandwich. read more

We ordered food for delivery on Sunday. The patty melt was disgusting. The burger was so dried out & hard the cheese tasted like cheez whiz that Orange cheese in a can you spray. I couldn't swallow 1 bite. My boyfriend tried it & he said it tasted awful & the somewhat grilled onions were sweet or rancid not sure. The large fries & onion rings were in thin white paper bags that we couldn't take out of the plastic bag because they were soaking wet from steam that the bags just ripped apart & the fries & onion rings were soggy wet. Been ordering their fries since I was 11 and rode my bike there just to get a "small" half pound bag (not really sure if its a half pound or a full pound lol, but it is HUGE! Be ready to share) of seasoned, perfectly fried, greasy fries served in a paperbag. I use to poor ketchup directly in the bag and just eat straight from the bag. Haven't been here in years and was craving that huge potion of fries. We arrived at 7:45ish and realized the dining area had been closed. Turns out they close at 8 now. Had enough time to place our order and there was seating outside. Many people were still walking up and ordering and the staff kept pumping em out. Guess they're used to it. The portions are still huge and the fact that the cooks weren't turning anyone away right up til closing was awesome. Personally, I would package the fries a bit differently--instead of a paper and plastic bag, I'd put it into a more flat container so that the fries don't get home soggy. I was first introduced to Daglas Drive In by a friend who's lived in the area his whole life. I had the pastrami sandwich with fries, and I fell in love. Seriously, one of the best places for french fries I've had so far in LA. Besides Frysmith of course, but that's a whole different level of fries. The pastrami sandwich was packed, and enough to feed a hungry man. Enough for the hungry man to complain that he feels sick from the huge portions of fries and the ginormous sandwich. It wasn't the best pastrami I've had, but it was definitely savory and filling. Back to the fries...they're served hot, salty, and slightly sweet, done well, and well...I'm glad I found them. I realized this later that Daglas Drive In was one of the places I had bookmarked as "MUST TRY french fries."
