On the positive side, the potstickers were huge and very tasty and every item's portion was very large. On the negative side, after many years enjoying outstanding Pekin House eggrolls, I found these mushy, bland and tasting mostly of 5 spice. I failed to notice the peanut butter that was promised. I had to add Mirin to the hot and sour soup which made it delicious. The shrimp in lobster sauce was bland and runny and lacked enough fermented black beans, green onions, ground pork and whipped egg. Long strips of pork were added instead which contributed to its thin sauce. The plentiful shrimp however, were perfectly cooked, so I removed them from the sauce, washed them and made cocktail sauce for them. I used the bland lobster sauce to flavor the noodles and that was my birthday meal! read more

So yummy! A Chinese food craving is rare for me, so when I want it, I want it to be goooood, and Dai Yee's did not disappoint. Ordered for take out and it came super quick. Have you been to an Asian Restaurant before? If not, why don't you try Dai Yee's Asian Kitchen? I have been to many Asian restaurants before, but this is quite different. Now, I decided to try eating here and I am expecting that it's like any other restaurant, with no significant or unusual things. But to my surprise, when I tried their food, Wow! It was one of a kind. The place is very clean and follow health standards, since it's pandemic. I am definitely recommending Dai Yee's Asian Kitchen to my friends and family near here. I just had to leave a review because the chicken curry buns are hands down the most delicious steamed buns I've had in Chicago. They had an amazing homemade taste I haven't found anywhere else, the dough must have been made and steamed fresh that same day - places like waobao could never compare! I also ordered the wonton soup which was such a generous portion size and very much appreciated from a college student like me who is used to the expensive yet small portions that the city has alot of now. This popped up new on Doordash and we decided to try it and we're so happy we did! We ordered the Beef Chow Fun, Dai Yee's Chicken Curry and the Shrimp Kow. First off, the food arrived HOT and the portions are huge! The curry was nice and spicy, and the key is to drown those fries in it, SO GOOD. The beef was really tasty, not greasy at all, and I was surprised at the good amount of shrimp that was in the Kow stir-fry. And to top it off, we received complimentary beef skewers, which we did not expect. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Dai Yee's Asian Kitchen has the best Chinese food I've had in Chicago, IL ( maybe NY and NJ too). It's always fresh, delivered hot, everything has a distinct flavor (unlike many Chinese restaurants that have the same flavor if you order sesame chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken etc). I try to get something different each time. BBQ ribs are lip smacking good, dumplings are tasty (the dough might be on the thicker side). Szechwan Chicken is loaded with crispy vegetables (I usually take the peanuts off) and they don't skimp on the chicken either. I am not a fan of crab rangoon or orange chicken but because the reviews were so good, I rolled the dice...and it paid off! The rangoon was so airy, crispy and delicious. The orange chicken has a wonderful ginger flavor. Not to mention the person that answers the phone is so polite and gracious. I will miss this place when I move. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the price (not to say it's not worth it). I just order for myself and spending $60 on an order of 3 items is just outrageous. I've done it because I LOVE the food but I can only order when I can afford to spurge. read more

Hands down the best Chinese I've had in Chicago. I ordered vegetable chow mein and the generals chicken. The chicken was perfect, not over breaded and no weird chewy bits. The veggies were fresh, crisp and delightful. This will now be my go to spot! I can't wait to take my mom. She just moved here from California is on the lookout for fresh and delightful food. I have lived in Logan and ordered from all the usual Chinese places. This is the most expensive of all. Was it worth it Absolutely not! I always order the same thing. Egg Rolls, Wonton soup and Mongolian Beef. My usual order at the other places is $27-$30. This place was over $40. The egg rolls were ok, the soup was ok, and the Mongolian Beef quality was good , but had no taste . The sauce sucked. I actually make way better Mongolian beef than this at home!. I even asked for extra garlic. Nothing! Its safe to say I wont be ordering from this place again! Did not live up to my expectations at all! You can get way better in Logan for way less! Even if this had been the cheapest of all the places I ordered from I still wouldn't order again. The fact that it was the most expensive was kinda insult to injury! read more

I ordered delivery through grubhub last night. The delivery was late and the grubhub driver did not follow the delivery instructions. However, this restaurant gets 5 stars for their food and their service. Not only was their food delicious (ordered the crab rangoon and scheschwan shrimp), their customer service is even better! They took the time to call me and follow up on whether I was able to resolve the issue with the late delivery through grubhub and offered to re-deliver through their driver. I will definetly be ordering from them again and doing it directly through their website to avoid annoying grubhub drivers and save them some of those stupid fees they pay grubhub. read more

Best Chinese food I have had in Chicago. We pretty much gave up on Chinese takeout after trying several places in Chicago. This food was amazing. The breading on the chicken dishes was crisp. Vegetables were cooked just right and not over cooked and mushy. Portions are quite generous. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were fantastic. This is now our go to Chinese takeout restaurant and I recommend giving it a try. read more

I went into this order excited that we had found a great Chinese restaurant to order from based on all the positive reviews. Our experience was not great. We ordered buns and pot stickers and they were ok - didn't stand out really. For main dishes we ordered pork lo fun, beef lo mein and cashew chicken. The first two were a bit greasy and had pretty much the same seasoning. The cashew chicken was impressive in how fresh the vegetables were but like the other two dishes it was way too salty. The saltiness of all three was really off putting - probably too much soy sauce in the two fried dishes. Anyway, only a fair rating for us. read more

I wanted to love this restaurant as they have great customer service. However, the description of the Gum Lo shrimp is totally misrepresented. It says lightly breaded, but the breading is three inches thick!!! It was a total waste because I literally had to remove all breading just to even taste the shrimp. Also this dish is overly sweet and has a terrible after taste. I drank mint tea just to rid the awful after taste which made for a total disappointment. Would not return or recommend the food if you're trying to eat healthy. Most of the dishes have MSG (had a headache from it) and corn syrup (ugh). read more

The hype is real! We ordered some delivery from Dai Yee tonight and everything we had was fantastic. The food arrived quickly, portions were sizable, and most importantly, all of the items tasted really fresh. Bonus points for using soft tofu that wasn't deep fried (in the Szechwan Tofu).
