I've been waiting over a year to return to the Daily Dozen...the delicious smell haunts me in my sleep over 1,200 miles away! My obsession started when I took the Savor Seattle Food Tour in May of 08 and this little stand was one of the main stops. My short stop in Seattle before heading to Vancouver, BC has brought me back to the Daily Dozen. Just like my first experience, the mini donuts were perfect! Warm, soft inside texture with a slightly crispy outside, not too greasy but definitely indulgent! They have a more cake-like texture then a yeast doughnut (think krispy kreme) so if you prefer a softer textured doughnut these may or may not turn you on...just a thought. This cute little donut shop is located inside the pike place market. The easiest thing to compare these donuts to our mini donuts that you can get from the fair. They literally taste just like them however I do like that they offer more variety of flavors. Here in San Diego we have the county fair and they serve the mini cinnamon sugar ones it would be super awesome if they started doing multiple flavors just like this place. We had the assorted ones which came with chocolate, cinnamon sugar, and powdered donuts. We didn't get the fresh fresh ones which were warm ours are already regular room temperature but they were still really good. We also had a half dozen of maple/maple bacon donuts those are really good. The price for the size of these donuts was pretty dang high I think we spent like 13 bucks which is a lot considering you can get over a dozen of regular size donuts for cheaper than that. I got to try the donut holes here as part of the Savor Seattle tour. Daily Dozen Doughnut is located inside Pike Place Market near the fish market. We had the cinnamon sugar donut holes and they were SO warm, soft, and chewy. They had the perfect coating of cinnamon sugar and can be quite addicting honestly... my boyfriend and I actually ended up coming back towards the end of the day to buy a dozen assorted donut holes ($6.50). We got plain, powered, and cinnamon sugar. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar. They also have chocolate, maple bacon, and sprinkle donut holes. The line for the donuts was about a 10-15 minute wait. It moves quickly and there is so much other stuff happening in Pike Place that you don't really notice. When you get closer to the front of the line you can also watch the donut holes being made by their special machine. read more

This is a nice little donate stand in Pikes place they sell little mini doughnuts most covered in something. They made doughnuts right there in front of me, but sold me the cold ones in the display, they were good, covered in cinnamon sugar, sugar, etc. My biggest complaint is for the coatings they use powdered sugar which A) always makes a mess B) gives a weird coating to my mouth I prefer granulated sugar. Yes that is picky but they are so close to better breakfast options like the absolutely amazing Le Panier.
