We reserved a table in advance for our party of 7. Five ladies showed up to celebrate a birthday. I arrived early for our 10 am brunch. Parking was free and plentiful in the garage next door. There is also parking on the street at the meters. Really cute place with a fully stocked bar and restaurant and plenty of seating outside facing the beautiful green courtyard. It was a nice day but windy. We requested outside seating. Patricia and Sofia (trainee) served us. The ladies were friendly and waited on us with enthusiasm. We had a flight of mimosas and shared a breakfast board with an additional side of deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were very good and we ate them all. On the board we had eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken strips , French toast, biscuits and potatoes. The ladies got coffee. It was plenty to share with 5 people. There were also chocolate donuts, they were good but a little dry. The birthday girl got a cinnamon roll with a candle and the icing was good, otherwise the cinnamon roll would have been too dry. This is a wonderful restaurant for all kinds of occasion. I checked in to Yelp for free deviled eggs. They were of the right creaminess, and the bacon bits added good texture contrast. This was a perfect appetizer. My bowl of butternut squash bisque was light and wasn't very creamy. I enjoyed it. After two light dishes, I need to get a heavy dessert which I got the spiced apple and pecan cobbler. The portion was good for one if you had light dishes prior. The dessert was served hot and baked well. The dish had the perfect sweetness. I love the crumble. Everything in the dish was great. I had a cup of hot chai latte to end my meal. I came here for brunch with a friend on a Saturday and it was really good! There are a lot of garages with free parking on the weekends nearby so that was a plus. We walked in and the place was packed! Luckily we had a reservation which I highly recommend. I had the Mimosa with lime and cranberry and it was delish! For my entree I had the Ranch Style Eggs (house smoked brisket with 2 sunny side-up eggs on crispy corn tostadas topped with refried black beans, tomatillo salsa, cotija, cilantro, & green onion) with avocado. We ordered the brunch board which was deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, chicken tenders, potatoes, biscuits, French toast, fruit, and chocolate donuts. The brunch board was delicious. We brought my Mom here for Sunday Brunch on her birthday. It was the biggest mistake and an absolute embarrassment. All of the food items came cold, after waiting 2 hours for them and the service is the worst I've ever seen at a restaurant. I wouldn't go here if it was the only place to go instead of starving. You couldn't possibly have a more incompetent server staff and management team. These are situations that Yelp should allow you to give zero stars. All of these people need to go get new jobs because this isn't it for them. ***UPDATE*** (Still 1 Star) The manager, Allison, brought this pastry assortment to us after hearing our displeasure about it being my mom's birthday and this being her birthday meal. Things continued to go downhill however. Would you believe that the manager confronted me on my way out with my family and I thought it would be to apologize, but she stated, "Hey I'm sorry about what happened today, I just wanted to let you know that we saw your review, both her and I did, and she (your server) was like what did I do wrong?? And we just have had a tough day and it's busy but we don't believe it was right for you to write that review and say we were incompetent." I explained to her that the review was 100% honest and that while we came there because of the good reviews, this experience was so far off from that it was unbelievable. Amazing food, service & restaurant! They have an amazing lunch special menu and it comes with a great selection. Two courses for the price of $25 with add ons you can add to your burger etc. I've came here on the weekends before and it does get BUSY. Make sure to have a reservation if you plan on coming on the weekends - however during the day it's not as busy so no need for reservations during week days. Now the food is delicious!! Their Mac and cheese is spectacular I added the crab & truffle and it was perfect. There burgers come with two patties and it's so delicious! Their Mocktails are also delicious as well. We had reservations and they gave us a great table in the cove next to the Christmas tree. Patricia was our server. She was friendly and attentive. Came for dinner on a weekend. The menu is a mix of southern and seafood and tried to put new twists on classic dishes but not always successfully. The deviled eggs are heavily mustered so I didn't try them. The cornbread is in the shape and flavor of street elote and is pretty good. I had the snapper almond one which was a bit salty but good. There was also a pool of melted butter just sitting in the plate and soaking into everything else and that bothered me. I got the bourbon sour and it was just ok. They have a cool ice breaker card game in each table. Service was attentive but our waitress basically hadn't tried anything on the menu and just made recommendations based on popularity with other patrons. I visited a few weeks ago to take advantage of the Restaurant Weeks menu and had a great time! The interior of the restaurant was so picture perfect, I loved the design and atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly but a little forgetful, we had to awkwardly wave her over when she kept trying to give another table our drinks. Other than that small moment, service was great! Our group loved everything we got, but I have to give a special shoutout to the arancini appetizer. Oh. My. Gosh. They were SO delicious I could've just eaten multiple orders for my meal. We loved having an outside seating option, which they have a large amount of. It was a beautiful day, so atmosphere outside was perfect, there was even live music playing from another business next door. I ordered an iced latte with vanilla syrup and decided to go with the Avocado Toast. Loved that there was a nice, thick layer of avocado on my toast, it tasted fresh and the chili flakes and poached egg enhanced the flavors of everything. It has modern yet rustic decor, which is very inviting and the servers all wear stylish, leather aprons giving the appearance that they are hard at work crafting something tasty back in the kitchen (either that or inventing the cotton gin)! I was not very familiar with this part of town, so I used the metered parking but I believe there are parking garages nearby that may be a better deal. Our server was friendly and even tried to crack a joke or two. Our food and drinks came out quickly. I ordered the Harvest salad and added grilled shrimp, which I'm glad I did because otherwise the salad would have been unlikely to fill me up! The salad was very tasty. All the ingredients seemed fresh, it had a great ratio of greens to other ingredients, was well dressed, and topped with sweet candied pecans. The shrimp were also plump and juicy with a nice flavor, but my four shrimp cost $9. The DG Spritz was fine. A refreshing drink with good gin, but it wasn't anything super special. We decided to try the pop tart for dessert - according to our server, the flavor regularly changes. The flavor of the day was raspberry, blackberry, and some other berry that I cannot remember at this point! It was a sweet flaky pastry with a gooey mixed berry filling. I would equate it more to a toaster strudel than a pop tart though. Definitely a nice way to end our meal. Overall, I really enjoyed brunch at Daily Gather. I've been to Daily Gather twice in the past two weeks. The first time I ever went was for brunch. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict and subbed the eggs with grits. I was pretty good. My partner ordered the steak and eggs and couldn't stop raving about it. We ordered a few drinks which weren't memorable but that doesn't mean they're were bad. It was my birthday so we got a complimentary dessert. I chose the peach cobbler which was underbaked. It tasted like raw dough with nicely spiced fruit. The ice cream was good though. The second visit was with my coworkers for happy hour and I tried a number of things such as the cornbread, fried avocado, Rockefeller oysters, and the braised shortbread. Everything was good. I wasn't crazy about the Parmesan risotto that came with the shortbread but I may just not like risotto. Nevertheless, I'd come back and recommend. read more

I met a friend here for brunch which goes until 4PM so I loved that right off the bat. It's located in city center so you can park in the parking garage. That time we all shared mimosa carafes and the ultimate brunch which was an assortment of various different brunch options. Today I opted for the French toast with a side of sausage Pattie's and eggs. The French toast was freaking HUGE!!!!! I guess since it comes by itself they overcompensate with the size so I'm not mad at it. I am happy to say the eggs and sausage was pretty good too, which is not always the case with brunch spots. We got a fancy carefe which was cranberry mimosa and deep eddy lime. If I'm being honest I wasn't a fan. Maybe it was the deep eddy or maybe the champagne was extremely dry but I was expecting it to be a tad bit more sweet. Now that I think about it I should've asked for more cranberry but that's my fault. Quoted me ten minutes for a table for one...and absolutely slayed seating people. I could see he was checking tables and communicating with servers to ensure he found tables for everyone waiting... She offered to get me started with water, and not sure if there's additional staff who does this, or if it's the server themselves, either way, she forgot and didn't follow up, so when she realized I was still sitting there without water, she finally got me some. Knowing the service would be slow, I sat down prepared, looking at the menu ahead of time while I waited for a table. I knew exactly what I wanted and ordered it when she delivered the water. For some odd reason, she also took my silverware, so when my food came out, I had no utensils to eat it...boo boo's on the server. I had to flag down a bus boy to get me a set of silverware, it's like she was on another planet, not paying attention at all, not focused, and slow as molasses. She barely checked on me and when my food was delivered, I asked the guy from the kitchen/BOH to get me some jalapeños, but he never came back out. So I, again had to wait and flag down my server and asked her for some... Had to flag her down multiple times to get anything and then when I wanted to pay with cash, I had to break a $20, which seemed to take light years. They had to go to a back room and break the cash and it just took forever. Way too long, honestly. A lot of dead time...but the food was excellent. Really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the crunchiness of the tostada. I'd say the brisket was slightly dry...but other than that, I'd highly recommend it!I also ordered the Daily BLT which is their blueberry mock tail drink, and I think it was mixed with unfiltered water, which I was not a fan of, but it was still good...I'm just very sensitive to non-filtered water... Arriving in, I was immediately impressed with the great aesthetic and friendly staff. Everything we ordered was delicious and the cherry on top was the espresso Martini for dessert! My only complaint would be how small my Salmon plate was as I was left still hungry. I had to order a small salad post dinner. Have been back a few times since the first review to try non-breakfast items. We sat at the bar both times so as to try the HH items. Was really looking forward to the oysters, but was disappointed in the size (maybe expected for the price) and sloppiness (no reason for this). Some of the oysters weren't separated from the shell and almost all had pieces of shell in it that I had to spit out. I figured I'd still enjoy those truffle fries, but alas, there was 0 truffle flavor and they were room temperature / not completely crisp. We tried 3-4 other HH items, but they were all average. Service was still great, but they really need an extra person behind the bar, especially when it's full. We had to wait a bit because the poor girl was swamped and already hustling. Came in during lunch time on a weekday. It wasn't busy at all, so we were sat immediately. The restaurant is very pretty and it's a pretty interesting concept they have conversation starting cards on each table which I thought was pretty cute. Our waitress was really nice and she checked on us multiple times throughout our service. We ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwiches and I ordered their bbq burger. The burger was surprisingly very good! The brisket was nice and tender and the bbq sauce was tangy and really tasty. The two patties were a bit much for me so I removed one and it ended up being the perfect serving. My sister said her sandwich was great and we all loved the fries, they were really crispy and not oily at all. For dessert we ordered the chocolate chip cookie skillet and it was very good as well.
