It had been years since I had been to the Daily Grill and from what I could recall this restaurant used to be good, maybe not great but definitely good. The place was a bit empty for a Wednesday evening but I blamed that on Covid. We ordered the Big Beet Salad: for the record this was not a BIG Beet Salad. This was more of a big pile of overdressed greens which was overdressed for the occasion. It was difficult finding the "BiG" Beets.. This should be either taken off the menu or redone correctly as to not over sell something that it's not! My wife ordered the Angel hair Pomodoro and this turned out to be just Salty Pasta floating in a sea of red sauce. I thought I had chosen like Zen Master eater but my seared Ahi Tuna salad turned out to be more of a where is my Waldo Tuna. Again the salad dressing was flooded with dressing and 90% of my plate was a Mt. Everest green pile. I have never had to work as hard to find the miniature pieces of Tuna hiding in the lost Garden of NOT Eatin'. After three failed dishes we stared into the black hole of nothingness and decided to take control away from this sad, lonely, heartless meal. We did this by ordering the only safe thing on the menu: French Fries smothered in ketchup and this at least brought us back from the pit of nothingness to ground zero. My suggestion is the Dailey grill reinvents itself by hiring competent chefs that are willing to save this place from extinction asap before it becomes the Centennial Grill. I'm pretty sure this is a place I won't ever see again before I die. read more

Fantastic! Each time I visit a Daily Grill I find that they are consistently exceptional. The food was excellent and of course well prepared. Pricing is what you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. Since it's inside of the Marriott expect a beautiful lobby and great customer service. Bonus, parking was free. read more

We stayed in the connecting Marriott and went over 3 times for food. Pretty similar menu to the daily grill we have in our local casino. Staff was friendly, happy hr menu had a good selection to choose from. Drinks were good too. I recommend the pork chop from the dinner menu and the sashimi from the apps! read more

I'm staying at the hotel and decided to pop in for a late lunch. The minute I saw chimichurri I was sold! The dish is a chicken breast made "under a brick" in order to get a nice crisp skin with chimichurri as the finishing "sauce". The chicken was GREAT! The sauce was phenomenally seasoned and a perfect accompaniment to the chicken breast. I didn't plan on eating the rice initially but once the dish was presented and I saw how yummy the rice wIth the almonds looked I had to try it, and let's just say, I ate it all . I am not one to generally patronize restaurants in fancy-pants hotels. They strike me as always over priced and oftentimes culinary disappointments. But this time, we were held hostage by the hotel. I struggled with eating here, no thanks to my inherited Scottish parsimony. Yep, I am a tightwad. And speaking of having Scottish leanings, we were at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel for a 3 long days of a major genealogy conference in June. That is a lot of sitting while learning about dead people. The first day, we packed a lunch from goodies stored in our hotel room (not Marriott). It was awkward and tiresome carrying that around, but if we had any thought of leaving the premises to find cheaper/healthier eats, it was even more discouraging to have to pay for parking (a generous, reduced price of $16, thank you very much) each time we left the lot. OK, TMI, but bottom line, with this revelation, by the second day, it had crossed our minds to consider a leisurely lunch at Daily Grill. Other than what seemed like a long line of people (mind you, this was a huge conference), all with the same mindset...excessively hungry and clutching a credit card that could permit such an indulgence, the wait to be seated was not that long. Add to the surprise of all, a well oiled team of staff that was focused, attentive, and able to multitask. Marriott had this gig well planned. Turkey "anything" can sometimes be a dangerous choice... dry, to the point of desiccation, ya know. So why I chose a $15 Turkey Club (yikes, with fingers crossed) was mostly because, other than the bread that I must not eat, every other ingredient was on my very restrictive "list" of things I could eat. Boy howdy, was it special! The turkey breast was thinly sliced and piled high, superbly moist, and with a mouth watering, "just roasted" flavor. A generous layer of excellent bacon, plus all the usual extras...juicy ripe tomatoes, onion, leafy lettuce, mayo, were the final touches. It killed me to have to push the bread away, it impressed me as a very nice, moist kind of whole grained bread. My other discovery was I could have a cup of chilled gazpacho soup (for a minimal up charge) instead of french fries or other unacceptable sides. I cannot pass this by during tomato season, and the time was "ripe". Ha! (I apologize immediately for the pun). And this one was a good one. The flavors were well balanced and refreshing, absolutely satisfying (Hey, I could live on Mexican salsa and Italian Gazpacho!). Even though I was paying a few dollars extra, it was heartwarming to find such good quality items on the menu. For that, the extra dollars were well spent. And I have to admit, all the plates of food swirling around our table looked exceptional. Nice casual spot with a decent menu, great looking and tasting food, well executed service, and it did not break the bank. 5 stars for that! read more

Just visited this place 10-14-17 with a group of people to do a meet and greet with Author Marie Force. We were in a conference room, so I can't tell you what their dinner was like. Room was set up nicely, we all fit within the tables set. The appetizer set up was nicely done. Food was very tasteful as well. I tried their hummus, celery, carrot, mini burger & BBQ chicken on a stick. Our server was very nice and professional. She deserves kuddos for being so nice and taking our group picture with 3 phones!! She was a rockstar! We all mentioned it to her numerous times!! Unfortunately I did not get her name. Parking on the other hand was very awkward. It was super tiny and you need to get your voucher punched. But no complaints as we did not have to pay. Well, there are high and low for this one. Went to Daily Grill 3 times over one night stay at Marriott Burbank. First visit: lunch time on thanksgivings day. Overall service and food were great, better than expect for restaurant inside a hotel. The server was on point, the food was good. 4 stars. Soup of the day was ok (-1), calamari was good, great sandwich + salad combo, also good pasta from the kid menu. Second visit: dinner time on thanksgiving day 1 Star for service, 2 hours and a half for dinner, most just waiting. 10 minutes from seating to order food. Things were downhill from there. Salad was served with no dressing, Thanksgiving turkey dish served cold, prime rib was over cooked. Got a replacement salad (add dressing) and a new freshly cut turkey. Now, the server disappeared for a very long period of time, thought might be on a break or serving other tables, but nowhere to be seen. About 20 minutes later she showed up to take dessert order, got dessert and asked for the check. The check was dropped off at 7:30 pm. Wait about 20 minutes the server disappeared again, this time for good, don't know what happened. Had to ask manager to ring us the bill. Third visit: Friday Brunch The food is about average for hotel buffet, only choice we got. PS. the outdoor restaurant/bar was closed due to the weather, heard it is way better. read more

[Hell-to-the-NO.] THE SETUP So using Yelp, Staci found that the "Daily Grill" - on the grounds of the Marriot, and just across the street from the Airport Entrance - was a most excellent option. [I'm also embarrassed to admit in all my 2 decades of bopping in and out of BUR, I never availed myself of this option.] HAPPY HOUR! We were right there in the mid-zone of their 4p-7p happy hour, which gave Staci plenty of time to drop of Jana so Jana could catch her 7p flight back to SacTown. This also meant the prices on the beer were great! $4!!!! With choices including Anchor Steam and Samuel Adams, we were in refreshment heaven. But wait! There's MORE! THE MUNCHIES And these munchies were quite outstanding! [Just drool over the pictures I took!] While there we got Shrirachi Fries (oh YUM!), Asparagus Fries (Double YUM!), Cheese & Poblano Chicken Quesadilla (!AYE! !AYE! !AYE!), and Firecracker Shrimp (Oh my god YUM!) All of them were quite tasty and the perfect accompaniment to our refreshing brews! CUSTOMER SERVICE Our server Victor was intuitive, on top of game, and always there when we needed a refill or something new (the quesadilla in fact had been an after-thought suggested by him). He deserved all of his 20% tip. PARKING Don't let the parking arm for paid parking for this medium sized-lot in front of Daily Grill dissuade you either. Grab the ticket, get it validated at Daily Grill, and the first 3 hours of parking are free, which was perfect for both Staci's & my car options since we were at Daily Grill just a little more than 75 minutes. This review is only for the Daily Grill's picnic baskets. You can call and pre-order a picnic basket to pick up on your way to the Hollywood Bowl or to a park or wherever you decide to enjoy it. Their picnic menu can be found online. The restaurant itself is right across the street from the entrance to Bob Hope airport and attached to the Marriott hotel. We decided on the picnic basket to enjoy prior to a Hollywood Bowl concert. Our insulated picnic bag was ready when we arrived at Daily Grill. The perky hostess took care of everything and got us out the door quickly. I love that they include a plastic table cloth as well as plenty of napkins, eating utensils and extra sauces as well as salt & pepper. Each course is sealed in separate plastic containers or boxes. Fresh bread and butter, homemade potato chips (so addicting!), and a fresh wedge salad (with chopped bacon, tomato and bleu cheese) were first out of the bag. Grilled veggies (peppers, mushrooms and squash) were in another container while yet another contained grilled shrimp. The main course was sliced filet mignon which was wonderfully tender and tasty. They provide steak sauce but the meat was so flavorful I didn't really use any. Lastly was a slice of one of the best key lime pies my mouth has ever enjoyed. Included was whipped cream and raspberry sauce as well as a few blackberries. As I finished my meal while sipping wine I couldn't have been more pleased with the fantastic picnic basket Daily Grill provided. If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. Got the protein omelet this morning. Worst omelet I've ever had. I don't even think they cooked it all the way. I think they were just really busy with the convention going on and were understaffed. Wait times for food was extremely long. The BLT was really good. The Pesto Shrimp Pasta was decent. We stayed in the hotel where this restaurant is located, so that was a bonus. You can tell they are short staffed. Wasn't very busy for a Saturday. Our waitress was very nice & attentive. I ordered the chicken piccata with grilled asparagus & pasta. Husband ordered a pasta dish as well for our entrees. Both were good. We also ordered some calamari for a starter. The portion was huge but mostly the little tentacles. Cocktails were on point.
