    Steak Finger Basket

I have to say that this is the nicest DQ I have ever been to. Like wow!! The service was great and the restaurant was super clean. Our steak finger basket was piping hot! Everything was fresh and made the experience so great! I love how they even have outdoor seating as an option. This will probably be my new favorite location! Great service, hot and fresh food, and a clean restaurant. What more could you ask for?

I grew up in a small east Texas town and Dairy Queen was the first fast food I ever had. In fact for years it was the only fast food I had.. eventually a Sonic moved to town and that changed things up.. but Dairy Queen was still my first love. First off the Taco's you wouldn't think it but Dairy Queen has some of the best crunchy tacos available. You can go to any actual Tex-Mex joint and you're only going to get a taco as good as Dairy Queen. Steak Finger baskets.. not even sure you can get these anywhere else but a chicken fried steak in finger form with white gravy Texas toast and fries is pretty much the best fast food meal you can get. Ice Cream.. I don't need to go on and on about the glory of the blizzard or dipped cones or even debate if Dairy Queen really did invent soft serve because their game is so on point that I wouldn't be surprised if over half of their sales come from soft serve. This particular Dairy Queen location is something special. The employees are the happies fast food workers I've ever encountered. I assume whomever own this particular franchise is paying them well and I'd love to know how they manage to only hire the nicest best people. If I can offer any encouragement to the owners here to pay the employees even more I'll forthright offer up the recommendation now. The employees at this particular Diary Queen make it an experience to behold a true piece of what fast food in the American South should be. So... Dairy Queen yeah it's great .. this particular Dairy Queen is Dairy Queen perfection.

As a local food blogger, I strive to always showcase local spots over corporate ones! After all, my goal is to highlight a variety of new places for people to discover rather than to remind them about the ones they already know. However, sometimes there's a grey area. For example, this may look like your ordinary Dairy Queen post, yet it's not. It's me visiting a local family owned franchise of Dairy Queen. What's the difference? Here's some differentiations I noticed: - Customer Service: you'll find that Mayfield DQ's have great ratings on Google Maps, way more than the one's that are corporate owned. I believe it. Because ownership is more involved in the day-to-day, there's incentive to provide a great experience. - Cleanliness: sounds silly right? Upon walking in, this must have been the cleanest Fast Food establishment I've stepped foot into. I couldn't believe it! Nicer interior design too, not just tiles and cheap booths. - Morale: because they want their employees to be happy, they treat them well and that means putting their money where their mouth is and starting them at $15/hr. All in all, next time you want to try something "corporate" but also want to support local, consider going to your locally owned franchise. You pay the same price, but for a better experience. So, what did I get when I came? Blizzards of course! I'm a sucker for trying their monthly/seasonal flavors. WhHispanicwere the: Frosted Animal Cookies, Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, and Nestle Drumstick! All 3 were great in their respective ways and I couldn't tell you which was better as they all matched the flavors of the intended snack. I say get the mini size and get all 3! Even amongst the local spots, they're a top contender for ice cream! For fast food, this place gets my utmost respect which is why I give them a 5/5!

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff truly make this place special. Huge shoutout to amazing team members Ariel and Emily for being so warm and kind. The chef even made our pup Zoloft a pup cup today, which was such a sweet gesture. The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. Made with lentils, and honestly some of the best ice cream we've ever had--rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Friendly staff, delicious food, thoughtful service, and creative plant-based treats. Mission Burger is a gem in Austin, and we'll absolutely be back again whenever we return to Austin

This burger spot is essentially just a food truck, but the food is solid, and the service is great…read more The food truck itself is nice and clean, and there's a big signage out front. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it's not a fountain drink it's in cans which they also bag for you Cheers!!

5/5 Stars - Hands-down the best meal of my trip!**…read more I'm in town for a conference and have been eating out every single day--hotel breakfasts, chain spots, random takeout--and honestly, nothing has come close to what I had at Jimmy's Big Burger tonight. This was by far the best meal I've had all week. The cheeseburger was outstanding. The bun was perfect--soft, and held everything together without getting soggy. The meat had incredible flavor, juicy and well-seasoned, and the divine (I'm assuming that's the special sauce or topping?) absolutely blew me away--it took the whole thing to another level. The fries were exactly how I like them: thick-cut, tender, not overly crunchy or crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was spot-on. Service was excellent too--friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Shoutout to the team for making a conference-weary traveler feel right at home. If you're anywhere near Jimmy's, do yourself a favor and go. I'm already thinking about coming back before I leave town. So well done--thank you! Highly recommend. 10/10 would eat again.

Ordering was a breeze and they even had our table set and ready for us by time we made it through the long line to cashier to order. Note : they do validate parking for area next to restaurant since parking is at a premium .Our parking was $22 since we originally were dining down the street. All bread is baked in house and burgers were done to perfection. They even support active military which I appreciate. Worth a stop!
