3/25/23 8:30 pm, The carrot top manager at night has a real chip on his shoulder and is a major prick. Never had such a bad experience, he started off rude by telling my husband the picture basically says it all and al my husband asked was how doe the cheesy steak fingers come. We had another run in with him a while back too, just wanted to give it another try. This manager was ready to fight my husband just because he sent his cheesy steak fingers back because they were burnt. He just instigated it the whole time. Won't be back at night. Got to Dairy Queen at around 6:40pm there was a car in front of us, waited about 5+ minutes until they took their order. When I got to the speaker I was told to they'll be with me in just a second. At about 5 minutes I called on the speaker saying "hello" a minute passed by I was saying "hello" again but NO ONE answered, not even a "one moment please" 2 minutes passed by and I drove to the window, less than a minute passed when the jeep in front of me left. As soon as I got to the window the cashier was very rude. I tried explaining to him I drove to the front because no one was answering even after saying "hello" more than once. He admitted he heard me but decided to ignore me because he had already said the first time "we'll be with you in just a second" he said if I wanted them to take my order I had to go back around the line, I denied to do that and told him I just needed 4 bananas splits and he said he denied me their services. I would've understood if there was piles of cars in front of me but there was only ONE car. He admitted he heard me but decided to ignore me instead of acknowledging me and taking my order. There was plenty of staff inside to do orders. First time here and had a horrible experience either this white male. read more

This is THE BEST DQ you'll ever visit. Service is FAST, the food is HOT, the staff is FRIENDLY (literally all of them. How is that even possible?!) ... and my order is right 99.9999999% of the time. ICE CREAM Its sooooooo good here. Not sure wha that other DQ in P-ville is doing but they need to bottle whatever they are doing here because here its working!. I swing by daily ( I know, dont judge) to get a cone..its on my way home from work, and its hot, and I like em...ok! Anyhoo the customer service is pretty friendly but my only complaint is that when I buy a med or even large, I dont get that much cream..whats up!??? I've ordered the chicken finger basket with fries before and it was hot and fresh. Seems like folks here take pride on their food...I also saw that they pay their folks 12 bucks a hr...better than most places...if folks can actually earn a slightly livable wage then good customer service usually follows. just saying. read more

Fast service but it might be to fast my t-brand tacos were almost meatless and my banana split only had chocolate topping.

I work next door and came over to grab a drink. They informed me the lobby was closed, but that I could walk over to the drive thru. I asked really? This Dairy Queen has the nicest interior I've ever seen in a DQ. It really shows that the business owners take pride in this location. There are cool retro posters of DQ and Orange Julius from the 50s, and a really charming photo and description of "our special DQ fan." The sign reads in part, "he may be the oldest WW II veteran in the country...he says the secret to his long life is whiskey and cigars." I mean, c'mon; is that awesome or what? Per recommendation of the head honcho over there at the DQ, I decided to try to the bacon cheeseburger. Oh man, I need to talk to their supplier about where they get that bacon. That stuff should not be kept from the public, it's soooo amazing. Must have. My neighbor used to have a pet cow, and the bacon that we got from that cow doesn't even compare! The idea behind fast food chains is that they are supposed to be standardized, reliable, omni-present, well-branded, and quality controlled. That's not why I love the Dairy Queen on Manor Road. I mean, it is all of those things, but if that's what I was looking for, I could go to any old Dairy Queen - it would be interchangeable with the one on Burnet Road or the one on Stassney Lane. This Dairy Queen has got a special charm that those other ones don't have. For starters, they have a trash can outside with a bright, cheerful sign that says "Bad Attitudes Here." This ain't your regular old "No shirt, No shoes, No service" sign ... they're going at it from a whole different angle. I mean, who wants to be in a bad mood when entering Brazier Country for a meeting with the Queen of all things Dairy? By the way, what the hell does DQ Brazier mean? (According to Wikipedia, it's being phased out, so no need to worry about it). Anyway, I really like peacock slate which, for the uninitiated, is a multicolored stone that you can install as a floor or a counter OR in the case of Dairy Queen ... all over the whole wall! This may be the first and only installation of peacock slate that you ever find in a fast food establishment. They have a weird amenity on offer - wireless internet. I don't know about you, but rarely do I ever think about taking my laptop to the nearest fast food restaurant and just hanging out. Maybe I'm the strange one though. What is most important to know about this location is that (like all other Dairy Queens in the world) they have ice cream but unlike many other fast food chains in the world, they have nice, helpful, responsible employees. They are always so friendly. I LOVE it ... and it's not just because they're serving me blizzards (although that does help just a little). Speaking of little, they just introduced a sort of miniature-sized blizzard. I really love the idea and every time I go I think that I will order one, because who really needs to be eating that much ice cream anyway? Then, I come to my senses and leave the mini blizzards to other people who don't want to be as happy as I'm going to be when I'm eating my regular-sized blizzard. The only complaint I have for them is that when I tried to call in my blizzard order at 9:50 they denied me. I mean, my thinking was, "I'll just save them some trouble since I'll be showing up right before they close at 10:00." They were probably thinking something to the effect of: "who is this fool calling us at 9:50 trying to order a blizzard over the phone?" Hey, you can't blame me for trying, right? Treats and eats. The american dream. Ok. your standard DQ. The texas stop sign. Not fantastic, but not terrible fast food. Steak finger baskets are something I'll occasionally crave, but they are never quite as good as I remember them being. But who gives a crap about the food. Eat a blizzard. or hundreds. Since my roommates and I moved in nearby, we've been keeping stats on every blizzard we consume. Its not that many so far, but we're logging flavor, size, etc for each one we eat. Asked for a banana split blizzard came out runny so I asked for them to remake it. The second one I got back was worse and sloppily made icecream all over the outside of the cup. I went inside and asked to speak to a manager . When I told him my problem he did not seem concerned and advised that the blizzard I chose comes out runny which I advised him did not since I got one last week and it was perfect. I got my money back and will not be going back to this location at all. The manager that was on shift tonight needs some customer service skills because he has none! read more
