This is a long overdue review. I ordered 2 large sheets (largest size, feeds 30) of Blizzard cakes for 2 friends' birthdays. I'd always known that Baskin Robbins have ice cream cakes, but I didn't realize Dairy Queen also has them. And I like Dairy Queen's better. But when I took them home, I found out they were so big they didn't fit in my freezer!! So I had to take the cakes back to the store and pick them up the next day. The managers are so nice and friendly! They are a married couple. Everyone liked the cakes. I ordered one with spiderman and one with the minions. read more

This place is on the Tustin side food court at the Marketplace. They have outdoor seating and a few tables inside. The numerical score is based on the average calculation between two items that we tried here. We bought an ice cream cake at this location previously for an event and the cake was very good. There was a coupon on the Irvine Company website for it and they accepted it with no hassle, at least during that time period. On the other hand, recently, our party tried eating the hot dogs here and we weren't very comfortable after eating them (not to the point of stomach distress, but just more like it digested funny). So one should eat the food most relevant to the location: dairy products. I don't see anything about hot dogs on the name of the store. I'll come back for dairy products, not meat products! Well, I know they sell carbs as well, but I'd think a hot dog bun or the cookies inside the ice cream are included in the dish. :S read more

I ordered a raspberry fudge brownie blizzard. Wow, it was nothing like the picture. It was pitiful. It basically was just vanilla ice cream with a few tiny chocolate chips in it with a few raspberry pits. It was the worst ice cream I ever had. Growing up in Minnesota (where DQ is from) brings me back to my childhood. I would go on road trips and every small town in the middle of nowhere would have a DQ. I would also hang out at the DQ near my high school during lunch. Unfortunately, DQ in California in general sucks. It seems like every DQ here has a different menu and specials and all make things wrong. There's also the DQ in the middle of nowhere in the desert on the 15 that's extremely busy (it's hot as hell there) which charges more then other DQ because of the terrible weather. Today to beat the unbearably hot 70 degree weather I came in for a Blizzard. The employees were chatting with the owner on schedule. They made little effort to pay attention to the customer (who's business gives them hours to work). No thank you either. At least this location has the 5 buck lunch unlike others. DQ's cone and dipped cone are my favorite!! Not too sweet and the shape is just too adorable. I like the way they squeeze the ice cream into two buns like shape. It remind me of those Japanese Kagami mochi New Year decoration. And the dipped cone are just so good before the chocolate coating become too hard, then it's too hard to eat b/c you crack them when you bite into the ice cream and the whole big chunk of chocolate would fall apart. The tip is eat the outer coating while it's still warm, and rotate the cone and keep eating the coating. =) Blizzards are good too, just that I prefer the cone b/c it's easy to eat.. one hand only. read more

There's isn't much that's special about Dairy Queen. We were craving something sweet after eating dinner in the plaza, and Dairy Queen was the closest thing to us. I ordered an Oreo blizzard and it was basically an overpriced McDonald's McFlurry. It was good, but not worth the price. It is very liquid in consistency and was almost fully melted after 2 minutes on a cold night. The location itself is also very run down and doesn't feel clean. I'd definitely rather spend $4 on dessert elsewhere. read more

Ok so I love sweets bad me. But they got me with their commercials and the new toffee blizzard must try! This location is very clean and you can even sit inside or out. I got a medium size trust me you don't need more I barely finished it. My order was done in 2 minutes tops. Lots of customers coming in and our. Also nice clean outdoor seating shared with other locations with free wifi. Best DQ I have been too. Maybe it's the location but the employees where nice also. read more

Very disrespectful staff, nothing but smart add answers to put questions. We were there for a cake and asking questions on the cake and the price. A heavy set person working there was just plain rude, she kept on saying I know the price without giving the price, trying to trick us into paying more for the same thing and snapping at us. Might sound crazy but I tried DQ for the first time and had my first blizzard. The Tustin location is small but the lines moves fairly quick. I had an Oreo and Reese's mix blizzard, it was delicious. They had two girls making the drinks who tipped my nieces drink over and said they were going to make her a new one but just wiped it off and handed it back. She didn't complain and we left. The employees were playing around and joking with each other, I don't mind that at an ice cream place but if you're expecting more then you may want to head over to a higher end ice cream shop. read more

This is my go-to dessert spot. I've always liked Dairy Queen since I was a kid, and 30+ years later the Blizzard is still one of the best treats around. I try to go once a month to try the Blizzard of the month, though nothing compares to the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard they offer in the fall. Dairy Queen is also good because they're open until 11 p.m. most nights, so it's great after you get out of a movie or just need that late-night sweet fix. read more

Horrible experience purely because of the staff. They two young girls were too busy flirting to make my son's and my food. They took our order Then they skipped over us and served four other people their food. When the place was empty, fifteen minutes later I asked about our food. They search their records because my word and the cashiers word that I orders it was not good enough. Then made them horrible. If you make me wait 20 minutes for my food, you should make it well.
