It is hard to rate a place when I don't get the entire concept. Why would you serve hot dogs and ice cream? Well got the blizzard and it was okay. It tastes like a poor man gelato. The vanilla ice cream on a cone looked too perfect and that alone scares me. It tastes more like cream and ice cream. A place like this probably works well in the mid-west. Young kids running the place, with rude attitudes. The cashier was extremely distracted, which I understood because it was busy for an early Saturday afternoon. She tried to hand me the American Express card of the customer before me because she forgot to give it to him. She then asked to take my order and then in the middle of my order she takes a call on her cell phone. It was a "co-worker" so she had to take it, but then she she assumed I was done ordering because I paused while she continued to talk on the phone. I told her I wasn't finished ordering and then she started talking in the phone and I couldn't tell if she was helping me or not. She asked me what else I wanted and I asked if she was talking to me or the person on the phone. With and extremely sarcastic tone, she said "You!" This place was not interested in service, which sucked because I hadn't gone to DQ in over 8 years and now I remember why! I'll miss the blizzards and the food. Not worth going back. read more

My husband and I went to DQ today after going to a sub shop. I wanted to try their S'more ice cream after hearing their commercial, which is something I never do. It was ok, the after taste tasted like a s'more. I think that the chunks of chocolate were way to big. My husband got the pecan mudslide, but without chocolate. His was really good and warm to. Came here to get some ice cream. I was disappointed with the fact that my cone didn't have their signature loop. My fiancé also told the cashier the restroom was out of hand soap about 7-8 minutes ago. His response was, "I know". He has had one customer since then. And has done NOTHING to clean or at least go to fill the soap dispenser. He's just standing around staring at the clock. I'm very disappointed at the sanitary cleanliness or the standards of what this Dairy Queen gives to their customers. read more

Ordered 2 sheet cakes for my son's birthday party. We placed an order for a customized Avengers cake and a simple sheet cake to supplement for the number of people. Picked it up today and was in a rush so I just made sure my son's name was correct and it was the Avengers on the cake. Got home and realized they didn't even use the right colors for the icing on the border. We ordered a red border for one and a blue one for the other...they used pink and white!!! Didn't make any sense since we just copied the photo in their cake book...and hello? It's a boy's cake. The Avengers photo was pretty small too which wasn't like the photo in the book either. Good thing we bought little figurines on Amazon and placed them on ourselves to somewhat deter from their mistakes. Would not order again from this location. read more

By far the worst service i have ever received here. Id like to chalk it up to them having a bad day because i have been here before and did not have any problems. For starters, there was one person ahead of us who ordered no problem then went next door to pick up a sandwich. She left thinking she would save time and her order would be ready when she returned. We ordered and then a couple after us, followed by a family and so forth. The poor girl at the register just took order after order with no help. Nobody came out from the back to help here. Nobody even noticed the increasingly growing line. Untill, she finally yelled back to Maria who came out in flip flops and pajama bottoms. ??? They had to rush to catch up and when the lady returned from next door to see her order was not ready she asked if she could just get a refund because she was not able to wait any longer. She was told NO, that they do not do that and finally after making her point they refunded her. I was told upon picking up my blizzard that next time if i want cookie dough AND oreo to ask for the "cookie jar" blizzard because i was charged more and next time it wont cost as much. Ummm excuse me but isn't that your employees job to be knowledgeable about flavors and what your store offers? Anyway, a disappointment to say the least. Hm, where is that Dairy Queen...oh, right! It's by the giant neon ice cream cone! This seriously looks like the fanciest location I've ever been to - on the outside anyway. The interior is smaller than I was expecting, but it wasn't busy when the hubby and I arrived so we had no problem finding seating. The girl at the counter was very friendly and had no problem letting me order a Mud Pie blizzard from the "secret menu" (not the case at the DQ in Garden Grove). We sat down and almost instantly, our order was ready. The staff member that handed us our blizzards turned them upside down which I appreciate. (I've had blizzards that were runny and definitely wouldn't have passed the upside-down test.) My ice cream was perfect - just the right ingredient ratios, thoroughly blended and not melted at all. There are a few DQ's that are closer to my neighborhood, but I'm definitely willing to drive a few extra miles to go to this one. read more

Two stars only because the ice cream was good. The bad - I had to ask the server to wash her hands before making my cone. She had been filling mop buckets with water and moving them around when she stopped to make my order. She did not wash her hands. When I asked her to, she gave me a WTF look and then said, "oh yeah." I'm not a huge soft serve fan but I have gotten birthday ice cream cakes here several times - the owner usually took my order each time and is very nice. If you go in 3 days in advance, you can pick out a design. They also have some made in the freezer. If you're only a day in advance, they'll put the name on it for you. I've bought the ice cream cakes at the grocery store for almost the same price and these taste way better. read more

I don't go to DQ much (BR is my pref) but the wifey sure likes it (this location in particular). We've gone to others near our neighborhood when she has the cravings but nothing compares to this place. They just know how to mix up those flavors right. Tasty treat, but often the place needs a good scrubbing. Most of the staff are pleasant... a handful are rude and resent having to re-do orders they screw up. read more
