I'm a big fan of Daiso. I go to every single one that I see. I spotted this one across the parking lot from Alderwood Mall and made a beeline towards it. The inside looks smaller than the outside. But that might be because they are very well stocked, which is good. (The biggest store in the area might still be the Crossroads location.) The loot this time (and I really should have taken a group photo but too lazy to re-gather everything now): - Hello Kitty zipper pouch - Hello Kitty finger gripper things - 3 per package - Faux Fur shoe liner - A thin plastic cutting board - pink color! - Hokkaido Red Bean caramels, which are really chewy candy ($2.50) - Caramel corn snacks Every item was $1.50 except one. I didn't have enough time to thoroughly roam this store or I likely would have bought more. Hints: - Every store stock things slightly differently. Always go to every store possible to see the varieties. - Items come and go quickly. Some stay gone forever. Never hesitate to buy something cuz ya never know if it's coming back!

I love Daiso. This location has ample parking + a friendly staff. I've purchased some lovely items for my own usage and great things to send to my niece and nephew. I bought some beautiful Winnie the Pooh washi and really cool Rilakkuma stickers for my postcrossing friends overseas. They sell storage containers, pencil cases, Japanese household items, and much more. There is also no shortage of tasty Japanese snacks like Meiji chocolate bars and nearly every flavour of Hi-Chew! They also have beverages to quench one's thirst. On my last visit I picked up a red bean bun because I was peckish. At first bite, it was STUFFED with red bean paste and it was delicious! Items do move quickly here so if you like something you see, go ahead and buy it. Take care and check its quality (like latches/zippers) because there are NO refunds. Period.

This store is part of a discount chain that offers products from Japan, with most items priced under $5. The place is located across the parking lot of Macy's of Alderwood Mall. The inside is brightly lit and everything is very clean. Note that all sales are final.

This new Daiso has just opened in Lynnwood, right across from the Alderwood Mall on the Macy's side, south of the movie theatre in the little strip mall. I love Daiso and this location is amazing! Tons of stuff for $1-$8 that you can't find in Dollar Tree or other dollar stores, especially art supplies, Asian cooking items, craft supplies, and gardening tools. This location isn't as big as the one in Federal Way, but it's bigger than the one in the Southcenter Mall. Great customer service. Easy parking and lots of it. The only thing about Daiso I would change is their no returns policy. You can exchange items only if they don't work, etc. but no cash back.

Nope, not for me. I went in expecting a dollar store type of store but left feeling like I was at the place where unsellable dollar store items go to die. I went down every isle trying to find something that didn't look like junk, I WANTED to find something, but I didn't see a thing. They did have some interesting noodle bowls that might be good, I'll give them that. So in the end, this store looks like nicely merchandised junk that will be in a landfill near you within weeks of purchase.

I love HomeGoods and shop at many of their locations often. I was at H-mart across the street and was delighted to see a HomeGoods across the street. I decided to go in but quickly regretted it. One of the first problems with this location is that they are overrun with inventory. This isn't a large store, so I don't know why they have so much stuff. There isn't enough space in the store to display it all in a safe and neat manner. I used to work retail many moons ago, so seeing unpacked boxes hanging out on the floor, as well as a wall of unpacked cardboard boxes in the lighting section, tells me that their back storage area must also be full. There were also about 5-6 tables outside of the store with tons of stuff on them, all clearance that they were trying to get rid of. The store looks sloppy and unprofessional. It's like the manager and the staff just to give a damn. The shelves are also a mess and the merchandise was sloppily hanging on the shelves. There was one aisle that had pillows on the floor. There were so many that they were blocking the way. You couldn't get through without stepping on them or tripping. Are they trying to get sued??? Honestly, there was just shit everywhere in and out of boxes. Even if this was just a bad and busy day, I will never come back. The location in Queen Anne on Armory is much nicer and better run. If you want a nice shopping experience where you aren't at risk of injury due to store items on the floor, don't shop here.

Two words, GIANT TARGET, versus the ones in Seattle: Downtown, Northgate, UDistrict, and Ballard…read more The latter two has closed. I've stopped in previously, usually for a detour for The Homie or items for The Nephew. This was the first time to create a Target account to place an online order for store pickup (11/25/23 - 11/26/23). I appreciated the ease of locating the item and its availability at various store sites. I was also given an update when it was ready for pickup. Why 3 stars? Poor signage of where to get assistance. Big sign near entrance says Returns /Exchanges, but dinky sign for Order Pickups. Scanner used by store associate was glitchy to scan the bar code. And the 80 cents extra charge for a bag fee, of which was never received. UPDATE: bag fee was removed because of the completed onsite/in-person pickup. Thankfully, a limited item was available post Black Friday. However, I rarely go out of my way to shop here. It can get a bit busy and congested with its proximity to Alderwood Mall.

Aarya/Aria from the pickup department is the reason for this review…read more I came in around 8 PM and needed help with an item in the clearance section. Asking for help is honestly the last thing I want to do. I usually try to figure things out myself first, but my app wouldn't scan the item, and the scanner near the plastic plates wouldn't scan it either. There were two of the same item in clearance, and neither had a sale price, so I simply wanted to know if they had been placed there by mistake or if they were actually on sale. I asked Aarya/Aria for help, and she told me to wait "one minute." I was patient, but that one minute turned into over five minutes. I actually timed it. During that time, she repeatedly rolled her eyes and seemed visibly annoyed that I had asked for assistance. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the constant huffing and puffing while walking back and forth a very short distance. It was only a few steps, yet she acted as though helping a customer was an exhausting task. There were also several other employees nearby, so I'm not sure why a simple price check became such an ordeal. I understand that work can be tiring and everyone has bad days. But if you're working in a customer-facing position, basic courtesy still matters. If you need more time, just communicate that. If you're busy, say so. Don't tell a customer "one minute" and then leave them standing there while visibly acting irritated. Maybe she needs more experience and practice in the role. More hours might actually help with that. Customer service is part of the job, and hopefully with more practice, helping a customer won't feel like such a physically demanding experience. I also felt uncomfortable with the way I was treated and felt that there was a racial component to the interaction. No customer should leave wondering whether they were treated differently because of their race. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I had already tried the app and the store scanner myself. Both didn't work, so I asked an employee a very basic question. The huffing, puffing and eye-rolling were completely unnecessary. I came in to shop, not to feel like I had inconvenienced someone by asking for help.

She didn't say a single word, didn't make eye contact, and immediately waved the next customer forward--completely ignoring me. Her behavior was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. The employee conferred with others for about five minutes, then returned and publicly accused her of switching price tags--a false and deeply humiliating accusation made without investigation. The tags were mismarked by the store, not altered by her. Despite calmly explaining the situation, she was dismissed condescendingly in front of other customers. The manager, who identified himself as "Phillip," refused to review video footage or acknowledge the error. After careful reflection, we believe this was a case of racial profiling. The accusation was made quickly, without evidence, and with a tone that suggested guilt before facts. Instead of taking accountability for their own mislabeling, they projected blame onto the customer--possibly to deflect or escalate. This is especially disappointing given our long history shopping at Marshalls and its sister company HomeGoods in Lynnwood. We've filed formal complaints with Marshalls corporate, the BBB, and the FTC. I've personally written to the Chief Compliance Officer. Since my wife was accused of a crime, we are drafting legal framework against TJX Companies, Inc., the manager, and the employee who made the accusation without evidence. We're not seeking money or punishment. We're asking for a formal apology, staff retraining, and a commitment to treating every customer with dignity. No one should be publicly accused of a crime they didn't commit. No one should be humiliated for simply trying to shop. We hope Marshalls takes this seriously and chooses accountability over apathy.

The manager fr on duty was rude and dismissive when I asked for assistance. She refused to run the tapes and very snarkily said I could call the cops. So I did. Um you are a cashier at Ross, one of your crap customers or shady co workers just stole my designer jewelry and now you're the tone police? I dont think so. She also told me unsolicited that I could wait at the back of the line to make my $1200 purchase. I told her not happening and she needed to stop harassing me. Ive never been treated like this. She and the phony manager need to be terminated immediately. They are racists plain and simple. By the time I got to the register, it was 2:15 and I checked in with the woman to return the shoes. She glanced at the shoes and said these are used. I commented that I just got these few minutes ago, there's no way that I can do anything with these in that time span. She kept repeating that these are used and checked in with the manager and said those are used. I commented that these were the conditions that I got the shoes in and to check the receipt cause the time stated my evidence of when I got them. These people literally didn't care what the receipt said and stated that the shoes were used. What's frustrating for me is that I literally got these shoes, bought them, and wanted to return them in a span of 8 minutes and 5 of those minutes were spent being back in line. I guess it's possible for me to freaking waddle like a penguin and slide the shoes, but enough so my right heel isn't messing up the size 9 tag ink and enough where I miraculously don't crinkle the shoes and dong break the lock keeping the shoes together. What's ridiculous is that I kept trying to repeat myself that I just got these and they suggested to me to wash them and return them later or go to another store. That just told me there's extremely something wrong with this location if I can possibly return these at another location apparently. Guess I'll make best use of my money by wearing these out by walking like a penguin for a while. Return at your own risk.

What happened to Zara? This would be an in depth thesis question!…read more I used to shop in Europe and Zara was the IT clothing spot for fancy, classy, and timeless staples. Made in Italy, Spain and Portugal the clothing was well tailored and fit a 32/30 general male physique. When Zara opened in Vancouver it was more boutique like and slightly pricier and the quality was good. This was before COS and other European brands making their way to the States. I shopped at Zara during the latter half of 2010 - 2018 quite regularly and the website was eye catching, the blazers on sale were $39, and the quality was good. You could still find made in Europe clothing and the production seemed to transition to Bangladesh, Vietnam and other countries. As of late, the quality before pandemic is garbage. The clothing unravels after hanging it in a rack, the fabric is cheap, and the material appears to be of the lowest quality. The Westlake and Bellevue locations appear like outlets with rejected clothing from 5 seasons ago and little change with new or updated fashion. It's like a European Ross evoking a European douche bag at the club with skinny jeans, frayed pants, Zara shirt and cologne. Staff are still pretty snooty and don't often help. Maybe one staff will but it's rare. They seem too busy folding clothing that isn't selling. Really sad.
