The staff was lovely. I had an injury when I went and was accommodated right away. The food was good and did not save any leftovers like I usually do. Would love to go back to try the shrimp n grits.

We arrived at our hotel late and wanted a place close so we asked the lobby attendant where he would eat and he said hands-down Daisy Dukes. It was almost directly across from the hotel and many of the tables were filled, which is always a good sign to me. It had a large menu so it was hard for me to decide knowing I didn't want too much because dinner would arrive soon. We ordered two menu items to share, the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and a cup of veggie red beans and rice. Both came out very hot and the taste was delicious. The outside presence was not great but the inside taste and feel good was on point. Our waiter was very attentive, keeping our drinks filled and checking on us. This restaurant is not in the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street, but just a few steps away and worth those steps.

Casual diner feel with excellent food and huge menu. I got the crab cake Benedict and it was amazing. Tasty, plenty of crab, and beautifully garnished! Hubby had a standard breakfast plate that included house made wheat bread. Full bar available Friendly efficient servers. Cook delivered meals.

Saw the restaurant from my position on the parade route and was glad I stopped in. Atmosphere was electric. Strangers talking. Fod and drinks were flowing. Ordered a Hurricane that was made to perfection. My shrimp and grits were so good I cleaned the plate.

Stopped in before we headed to the airport to return home. It was nice and quiet. We were seated at a booth and greeted by our server who pours mean mimosas (they were 2 for 1 so we did that a few times). I ordered the Alligator & Sausage Omelette w/Hashbrowns and a biscuit and the Lady ordered Blueberry Pancakes w/ bacon. The service was fast and great.

Stopped in for lunch before our city tour. A quick snack turned out to be a huge meal. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries, i can only do almost half. The burger was huge and delicious. The fries were season with a good flavor, but very salty for me. My guy ordered the pork chop which was also very tasty. I had an ice tea which guess has mo refills, but ok water it is. The food was delicious, the service was a 3, the guy didn't come to refill my Ice Tea, but guess he was busy cuz he did chat with the next table extensively, hmm. They had good music playing which wasn't too loud, but old favorites. Would definitely visit here again.

Service and food was great! I had the omelette and my husband had biscuits and gravy. We will definitely be back.

We were craving a real taste of Southern classics, and Yelp led us here. It was poppin' during the parade but we were seated within a few minutes and served with water. I ordered the crawfish ettoufe since I had it the day before and fell in love with it. Safe to say, I really liked the one here as well. You could really taste the crawfish and the portion was so generous; Not to forget, the biscuit was delicious with butter. My friends opted for the New Orleans sampler and got a taste of everything. It was my first time trying red beans and rice, and I actually quite liked it. Gumbolaya wasn't my cup of tea, nor is gumbo itself, but smelled good nonetheless! Our waitress was hilarious and definitely joked with us a few times, but she was attentive and always refilled our waters amidst conversation and laughter. Only con was that their bathroom doors were kind of broken and swung the other way, but that was it.

Great filling food, Large variety of menu offerings. Always a great Bloody Mary and mimosa to start your day. This is our go-to spot when in the downtown area. It's close to our hotel. There is another location closer to the Hilton we now prefer this location. Just a short walk but we'll worth it. Our food is always delivered hot and comes out at 1 time so we can all eat together. They have no problem serving 6 at a table.

Unfortunately, not the best experience at Daisy Dukes Express. While we were able to be seated quickly, our not super complicated breakfast order for 4 ppl took over 50 mins to come out (waffle, pancakes, breakfast sandwich) By the time the food came, it was ice cold, and one of our orders had been given to another table, so it had to be remade. There definitely seemed to be a mix-up somewhere with the kitchen or service, so not sure it's indicative of a normal experience here...but it was ours.

Stopped in during happy hour for an appetizer and beer...place was clean with a beautiful hand painted mural. Draft beer was 4.00 and chicken wings 1.00 each sold in orders of five. I got two drafts. The only complaint is they were not topped off....(short pull)...decent amount of the top not full. Wings were good. I would recommend for a nice clean inexpensive place to grab a snack or a meal.

Went there for breakfast. The alligator sausage was surprisingly delicious. These waitress was friendly and allowed us to get coffee to go. Had a nice vibe with Afro beat music playing in the background.

OMG!!!! This place was sooo freaking good!!! The seasoning and sauce was perfect for what we asked…read morefor. I came with a friend who had never had a seafood boil. I've never had crawfish and seeing it was crawfish season we were destined to be here. We built out our own seafood boil, which included, 1lb shrimp head off, 2 soft shell crab clusters, 1lb crawfish, corn, potato, and sausage. Let's just say we left with a pretty big leftovers box We ordered the hot house flavor and do not regret it one bit! Our server was so kind to show us how to peel and eat the crawfish and honestly it was so fun!! I will definitely be back next time in New Orleans!! One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). Most seafood boil places in the area when they have headless shrimp it is farmed and brought in from outside retailers where if you get head-on it's from local ships in the area/fresh caught. Apparently they've been struggling and if you want to support New Orleans local fisherman then go for the head-on shrimp. Again double check with staff if their head-on shrimp is local cuz I learned this information after visiting.

Hot N Cajun With no seated tables available when I arrived…read moreat Hot'n Cajun Boil House on Iberville Street in New Orleans, I happily accepted a seat at the bar. Behind the bar, Sandy mixed me a Summer Peach (Absolute Vodka, real peach, sweet tea, fresh lemon, $14) and provided the bib and gloves I likely would need if in fact I wanted to enjoy a crawfish boil. Of the dozens of restaurants I've visited in New Orleans, rare is the menu that includes a crawfish boil. Hot'n Cajun has it. I asked the barkeep Sandy B. if it was still crawfish season, and she assured me that it was. So I ordered 3 pounds of boiled crawfish (including potatoes and corn on the cob, $25.99), asked that the seasoning be "medium", and Sandy brought me a Model ($9) with a neat Maker's Mark ($12). The experience was pretty close to what I remember we'd find if invited to a neighbor's crawfish boil. Three pounds sounds like a lot, but the yield is more like half a pound, at most. So I put the gloves and bib on and started in on the crawfish. Nice presentation, and very good, fresh crawfish.
