    French Toast & Eggs
    Ann L.

We had brunch here on our last day before departing for home; it was pouring rain and so we needed to find somewhere close that had tables available on a Saturday morning. . Fortunately, Curio Bistro was right around the corner from our hotel. We ate inside rather than upstairs on the balcony which sounds lovely, but not in the chilly rain. I had the french toast with caramel sauce, eggs and bacon along with coffee. The french toast and caramel sauce was delicious and a great dessert for breakfast dish. The scrambled eggs were good and the bacon was nice and crisp. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a good option for breakfast or brunch.

So the best part of this place is the building, we got to sit on the balcony which has an amazing view. Everything else was pretty much sub par. The service was super slow, she got our order wrong and gave us individual glasses of wine instead of the bottle we ordered. The food was okay, I ordered the fried fish and shrimp combo and to be honest it was decent for the price but I had expected a little better quality. Definitely go here for the ambience, but limit your expectations on the food and service.

Loved the vibe inside and that the windows and doors were all open since it was really nice outside. We took advantage of the happy hour, which included less drink options but still enough that each of us found 1 or 2 that sounded good. Our server checked on us often and the food arrived quickly. Portions were large, so come hungry!

Came here for Sunday brunch. I ordered the 3 sampler: gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish etouffee for $21. It was a bit salty but really really tasty. The etoufee was my favorite. I love the rice texture of the jambalaya too! I wish they had bigger portions because I ate all of my food! The waitress is so nice and was so informative about the menu and other restaurants nearby. I love the ambiance and the interior is so cute!

Perfect happy hour and happy hour here for six dollars had about four drinks because you can't beat this fabulous price. The bartender was super cool. Great service hooked it up. Told us about to go. Cops will definitely go back.

    Chilled Blue Crab Claws

While in New Orleans, I visited Curio Bistro after seeing they had crab claws on the menu. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty, and I still had to wait a bit to be seated. I ordered the crab claws and a virgin hurricane. The crab claws were just okay. They were a bit small and toward the end they didn't seem as fresh as I was hoping for. The drink was fine, but the fruit garnish looked dried out, like it had been sitting for a while. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't really stand out. I wouldn't order the crab claws again, and as an out-of-towner, I probably wouldn't return to Curio Bistro.

Food: I had a pretty simple meal: Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and a biscuit. Hard to mess that up. It was very tasty. Service: Superb. Kept the drinks coming with the Bottomless Mimosas. It's New Orleans, I wouldn't have expected anything less.

Needed a nice lunch spot while in NOLA and this honestly looked like a nice place. Inside was clean and lively with street performances wafting in. That's where the experience turn a sharp turn. Po'boy was good, but if you mess up shrimp lettuce, tomato and bread you should be shut down. Husband's burger was well done when he asked for medium rare. Guys, this was a bubba burger quality patty, don't offer a temperature and over cook it for $21. The $16 old fashioned had a freaking maraschino cherry. Do not charge me more than $10 for an OF and give me a crap cherry and no choice of bourbon. I would be willing to bet I would a have had to pay an up charge for non well bourbon. Husbands dark and stormy was neither dark nor stormy, white rum and ginger ale, NOT a dark and stormy. Bartender needs to go back to school. With a plethora of other places we will not be back. Beware tourists, there are other places with much burgers and much better drinks, try Port of Call

From gumbo to giggles..NOLA lunch dates are the Best!! ‍

We visited Curious Bistro for brunch, and it became one of those memorable meals you'd want to last forever. I was fortunate to enjoy it with my dear friend and her wonderful mom, and amidst the laughter, stories, and cozy ambiance, we happily spent chatting. Our server, Brent, made the experience even better. He was friendly, thoughtful, and even shared a few gardening tips with us while attending our table. I ordered the pan-roasted salmon and Gulf shrimp and let me tell you... the herbed garlic butter sauce was mouthwatering. Rich, flavorful, and essential to the dish. It pulled everything together in the most delicious way. I would've gladly licked the plate clean (but don't worry, I didn't). Curious Bistro is the kind of place where time slows down just enough to enjoy good food and great company. If you're looking for a brunch spot that delivers on flavor and heart, this is it.

    More bourbon!

4.5/5 Stars Curio. What can I say? Fun. Cute. Quirky decor. BEST bourbon selection in town. Employees with bright smiles and friendly dispositions. Curio is all that and MORE. I stopped in on a weeknight and grabbed a seat at their bar. I love the bar because it is spacious and they have an incredible selection. I love bourbon and you can get it ALL here - even many of the Pappy Van Winkles! I ended up actually doing a sparkling rose and it was a wonderful compliment to their Gulf Shrimp caprese salad. The salad was REALLY good except for the shrimp. They were TINY but also excellently seasoned. I expected them to be much bigger but still the salad was super tasty with a lot of flavors that popped. The bartender was so nice and she did a great job making sure I had everything I needed. Overall, a really great dining experience and I can't wait to visit again!

This place delivered the goods after we were so infuriated with another restaurant that closed for the evening. We found Curio and was welcomed by a charming receptionist, brought us upstairs where it was cool and refreshing (oh airconditioner during the summer heat!). My boyfriend had a Cajun BBQ Burger and he found it really juicy and delicious. I had one of the best Jambalayas ever. Our dinner was very relaxing-- really good food, wonderful ambiance and courteous, efficient servers. Totally 5-star.

Bottomless mimosas for $20!!! Do I need to say more? Our server Juliana was amazing she went above and beyond with the mimosas. I love a botteomless mimosas, but the food here was hands down the BEST breakfast I have ever had. How do you make sausage that good??? The street performer right outside was on point with the music. The decor was great. Everything was perfection. You also get mimosas to go!!!

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite.
