First time coming to this restaurant the food the staff and the atmosphere were were terrific. My wife my son and I enjoyed ourselves so much that once my son went back home. My wife and I added this to our rotating list of places to eat. The second time my wife and I had breakfast brunch at this establishment It was kind of disappointing. The food was just not as good as the first time we ate here. The food was good but just not as good as our first dining experience. This was right before everything got locked down by covet and it was also a Saturday afternoon when we stopped the second time. Except for six police officers who sat across from us The establishment was pretty much empty I think there was one other table with two diners on the other side of the room. Please understand the food was good the second time but not as good as the first time. My wife and I felt that it could be the kitchen staff had changed or with the covid shutdown coming we just gave this place a pass. We figured anybody could have an off day and our five-star rating still stands. We've been back a couple more times and the food was the same quality we had on our first visit. So we will be back and we recommend this place to friends and family with the caveat that the food might not be as exceptional as it was. I had the absolute best breakfast of my life at this local gem. The place is very homey and looks family run. The coffee was served in mismatched mugs that adds to the charm. I got vanilla coffee, which from I could tell wasn't an added syrup, absolutely amazing coffee. I asked to make my own omelette that wasn't an option in the menu but they let me do it. I got that with the home fries and focaccia bread. I CLEANED my plate because of how amazing it all was. It doesn't look very impressive but the flavors HIT. I had a bite of my friend's pancakes (but pictured) and I'm not a fan of pancakes but these tasted amazing, the texture was perfect and I finally understood the hype around pancakes. We also got the southwestern omelette and although guacamole in an omelette sounds weird, it really works! 11/10 Would make a trip all the way back to the Poconos just to come here again. read more

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Great Wolf but wanted to stop for lunch prior. This place is about 5 minutes away. After much research I found this place and THANK GOD I did. Wow! This place has some kicka$$ food! We stopped in on a Friday late morning with our two little ones. I ordered the southwest omelette which was SO good. It definitely had a bit of a kick but it was delicious! It was also a rather large portion. It was also VERY inexpensive. This place was so good we came back the next day. I had the grilled Italian sandwich. OH. MY. GOD. It was so good and another good sized portion. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. We will definitely come back when we visit the greet wolf lodge. I highly recommend this place. It's a super cute quaint little place. It was 1:30 in the afternoon but I had yet to eat. Driving down Route 611 I come upon Dales Bistro. I thought to myself, I wonder if the still serve breakfast at this late hour, let me pop in and ask. I was thrilled to find out that indeed they did and in fact they also had chicken sausage which is my favorite. when my breakfast arrived I looked down to see that my scrambled eggs were brown from being left on the grill too long. I picked up the toast and the butter was dripping all over my eggs and the sausage that I was so looking foward to was dry! I was very, very disappointed! My friends and I loved this place! I love small town restaurants that serve hearty food, and this didn't disappoint! I had some magnificent whole wheat pumpkin spice pancakes that were delicious. The only disappointment was that they did not serve real maple syrup. I hate fake syrup so I ate mine with peanut butter. My friends got the skillet platters and they were big and filling. I got to taste some and it was well seasoned and hot. Sweet or savory breakfasts are fully covered here! Finally, our server was a delight. Great breakfast. My wife loved the Guacamole toast and my Western scramble was perfect. Great coffee with big mugs! Breakfast potatoes not at all greasy and great tasting. The inside is a beautiful setting. Price was right on. $20 for two meals and coffee. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. The only small drawback was the portions weren't huge. I slice of toast with the meal but that's what we like so perfect for us. Looked like a good homemade bread tho. We used the online order link to pick up lunch for the office. We have never eaten here before, but it will definitely not be the last time! Our order included a cheesesteak, a chicken monterey pannini and a tuna wrap. Everyone raved about their food. My tuna wrap was absolutely amazing! I came in for lunch today, and ordered the chicken Monterey sandwich, and the soup of the day which was split pea and sausage. The soup was very very good, and accompanied by fresh baked bread. The sandwich was just ok. All of the ingredients were homemade, and fresh, but it was bland. There was supposed to be a chipotle sauce on it, but they forgot to add it, so the sandwich was dry, and it wasn't seasoned at all. I expected to be wowed by the food, just judging by all of the reviews and photos, so I left a bit disappointed. read more

After staying at the Knights Inn across the street, we saw Dale's and ate here after finding its good Yelp rating. Simple interior and menus, not fancy, but had some classy rat pack music playing. Serves Pepsi products, but when I asked for a Coke they had cans?! Didn't expect that... Went with the Dale's Grand Breakfast and chose scrambled eggs, bacon, with Yukon gold potato home fries. One thing I noticed, the meal was warm, and it could have been a little hotter. Pancakes were nice and thick. Eggs were fluffy and bacon had good flavor. The home fries were the most interesting part of the meal; they were almost mashed a little bit leading to a different texture with good flavor. Overall the food was decent but the price might have been a little high for the quantity. Service was fine so the stop was worth it. read more

Food is delicious and the staff is amazing! Sitting here in the parking lot to write this review. This is my third time coming and everyone is always so kind. Today, i wanted to eat my take out at their outside tables to enjoy the weather and the lovely girl at the desk said of course- not too long afterward i went back in for oil & vinegar and another bag of chips for my remaining Greek wrap to eat later and they happily passed it my way. Before leaving, I wanted to grab another Mango Green Tea (definitely suggest) and the "older" women helped and once again, impeccable service. I had already left a tip but ended up finding all the cash I could before I left to give them more. I will definitely be back and they are now on my lists of favorite staff! read more

The waitress was super nice and pleasant, my food was hot and fresh when l received it (a pet peeve of mine is cold food) I had strawberry banana pancakes, eggs, bacon and potatoes.. We are from Indianapolis and were in town for a wedding. Our hotel was up the street so we thought we would give this place a try for lunch before the party. The food was pretty average. I had a BLT wrap with chips. My wife had the Greek wrap with pasta salad. The part that I really liked was the strawberry smoothie. It was very tasty. The service on the other hand was not very good. We had empty glasses at our table and our server did not come around more than 3 times. It also took a good 15 minutes to receive our order. The place was about half full when we visited. They have great smoothies, unique pancakes with the option of gluten-free, i loved my omelette-it had lots of well cooked veggies like zucchini and an awesomely flavorful garlic basil sauce which came with a fun choice of potatoes and bread (I chose sweet potato homefries and rosemary foccacia bread and I got guac on the side that added an extra dimension), not to mention the nice staff and cute extra things you can buy like honey and soap! read more

And then the yukon gold breakfast pototoes...they looked like leftover baked/boiled potatoes smashed-mashed burned and way over seasoned. Parent's and I decided to stop by to have a quick bite one Saturday. Girl at the cashier desk first told us they have an available table then asked us for our number and to wait outside...in the cold and pouring rain. She advised that we are in the way of the door when that wasn't the case. After witnessing two available tables sitting unoccupied for almost 10 minutes, we were seated. Now to the food - my sandwich had NO taste. I can make a more delicious panini at home. And the chili? The canned one is more satisfying. My father's eggs he ordered clearly stated it came with bacon, ham and other meats yet they brought him none as the "wording" can be misleading. No, the grammar and lack of adding "...with the option of" not to mention commas was misleading. And for $16, I'm sure it did include those meats. We mentioned this only to be told by the server "I took off the seltzers for YOUR confusion" - She is lucky we did not yell in that moment. Rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate towards one's intelligence. The competence, was incorrigible. Dale's Bistro is a nice ol' small town gem, with a pretty wide selection of pancakes and egg dishes to choose from. We elected to go with the grand breakfast and the 2 egg breakfast to share, which was just the right amount of food for two people. The home fries were well seasoned, the pancakes were generous and fluffy, and the service was quick. My only negatives would be the stickiest bottle of maple syrup on our table, and the bitter? strong? unsure if stale? coffee they served. Will definitely return, but will probably stick with tea next time! read more
