I clicked back and fourth between one and two stars, and ended up on one. The only thing that would potentially give them 2 stars was the shop boy who drove out car home. I'm going to little details because the big ones will justify the review themselves. Buying the used car was what you would expect, long and painful. The review is not for that experience because typically they all suck. The review is for what happened after. During the test drive, we noticed the breaks were squeaky. Prepared to pay 23k for the Excursion for my wife to drive out 3 kids around in, (4,2 and less than 1 year old) I asked that the breaks be inspected and I would like to buy a vehicle without squeaky breaks. After some apprehension, they agreed. They said I would be contacted by the service department shortly to set up the appointment, which I was. Granted, I know my way around breaks but anytime you can have a dealership do something for free it's always a good idea. When j arrived at the dealership I was given a rental car so I could get to work and was sent on my way. Pretty good so far. Later that day I got a call that the truck was done and ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't get the brakes to squeak, they did inspect them And everything looked ok. Said they cleaned them and that could have been the problem. I bought it. On he drive home, first press of the pedal, squeaky brakes. AHHHH, nothing is worse than squeaky brakes!!!!! At this point, I wrote it off as cheap semi metallic pass that I would upgrade at a later date. I hadn't driven the truck in awhile, until today. This is a couple months (less Than 3000 miles) or so after the sale of the truck. At this point, I noticed the brakes are now grinding. My wife, bless her sole, didn't inform me of this little issue. Right when I got home I jacked up the truck and pulled the pads in the rear. The picture is of a new pad compared to what was "inspected" and cleared by Damerow. My whole life rides around in this vehicle on a daily basis. And for you to write of brakes THIS BAD????!! Come on, really? Breaks are probably the most important part of safety on a vehicle. Literally makes me sick to my stomach. The dealership is a little ways away from house, but I'm heading in there tomorrow to have a conversation with the manager. read more

He said that they owned that dealership and he could sell it to them. The couple nicely told him they were working with someone over there and it would not be fair. The burly salesman got closer and in lower tones said this dealership owns that one and he could get them a better deal. What a great co-worker trying to steal business from a peer. After I bought a new car from Landmark I got a call from them asking me to stop by for appraisal... Why would I trade my 2020 car in for another new car? By far absolute worst dealership you could ever go to. Scammed me a total of 4 times pulling the most illegal bs on me trying to take advantage of me. First time coming, had practically a brand new car completely paid off w no miles on it and gave that for trade in, and put 2k down, and was rushed and forced into buying a car I did not want for very expensive. I walked in asking for a gt and they grabbed my old car keys from me saying they would look at it to see my trade in value then never gave my keys back even after having my parents on the phone with me screaming to give my keys back because I'm not buying a car I don't want because they just wanted a quick sale. I had the ecoboost that I did not want for a year and come back for them to beg me to come back in because my trade in value is basically gone and if I wait any longer I will get nothing for my car basically. When it was a 2023 mustang ecoboost with less than 12,000 miles on it. I go in multiple times with salesmen there asking me on dates and being highly unprofessional texting me nonstop on social medias as well. Would tell me they would give me the best offer and that I can't wait any longer to trade the car in for the one I should've gotten. I reminded them how they screwed me over the first time big time and it won't happen again. I come in for the gt 2024, and they first have me sign papers that are agreeing to be a certain payment and interest rate. I first walked out on the first few offers they gave me because it was way too much. I gave them my limit being a college student as well. They came back out to me and gave me a final offer that was lower and I took it as long as they agreed to install leather seats for me for free because that's what I wanted in the car and they just wanted another quick sale from me. Even after the ecoboost situation. They fully agreed to covering my installation and leather seats, AND they even added the fact I get to choose whatever color I wanted including pink my favorite color. I have texts from the salesmen, and a paper signed by the manager agreeing to it as well. A week later they call me in to download an app for the bank that approved me. Come to find out I drive all the way there for them to tell me "good news! Your loan is one year shorter than it was going to be so the only difference is you'll be paying 150$ more a month than what you signed off to" I instantly started crying and told them you guys will not pull this crap on me again and went to my car and grabbed the first contract I signed a week before that w the first payment and interest rate. They tell me I either have to do that one or I had to go home in my old car after already having the new one for a week and signing a whole contract for it. I signed off on the new one even though everyone I've told this to has told me I could've just left w the new car since I had a contract signed already and they were big time trying to screw me over AGAIN. So they did. They got their 50,000$ the next day for the new gt I got, and ripped off so bad on the payment and also interest rate went up as well and they didn't mention that one bit. When I asked about the interest rates the salesmen would say I don't know. They will tell you they care about you and what you want in a car and how they'll do this and that but in reality, they are scamming you with every single thing they are telling you once you walk in the door. They are snakes and the fakest most utterly heartless humans I have ever encountered. I then get a call from the leather company who were doing my seats and said ford called them saying they never told me or signed off to me getting the pink leather seats then making me look crazy and a liar. They are the complete opposite of a reputable company. The managers and salesmen were the most unkind, snarky, money hungry desperate workers I have ever seen in a business. The service department at Damerow has continued to get worse over the last few months. Lack of communication, completion of service and overall customer service has plummeted. As I have several vehicles being serviced here we've had multiple experiences where they've advised us the vehicle is complete and ready and time again again we arrive to pick it up and it's not complete. I brought my truck in due to a couple recall letters I received. While there figured I would ask them to look at a couple other issues, which I detailed to them very knowledgeably. When I picked up my truck, I got a $300 bill for telling me exactly what I told them without doing any work at all. Me: "My side mirror is damaged, it needs ___." Dealer: "Your side mirror is damage, it needs ___, that'll be $300 dollars." Like really, this is your service? These greasy haired dealership guys don't deserve a second of your time. Today we went to Damerow to buy out the lease on our Ford Escape. We were pre-approved through ONPOINT. ONPOINT needed the lease buyout document which they refused to give us. We had to go through a whole credit check process which took over an hour and a half. Finally, they came back and gave us an interest rate that more that was .6% higher than what ONPOINT quoted. When we threatened to get up and leave, they magically came up with the same rate. They also charged a $250 document fee just so we could have the privilege of buying out the lease from them. Oh, and we asked about mechanical breakdown insurance, but they couldn't come with a price until we talked with finance. The price of that was $4000 compared to the price through ONPOINT. They must make a huge commission on that insurance. What's the point of their high pressure tactics when we clearly just wanted to buy out the lease. read more

Brought my Explorer ST in for a water leak. Agent told me that it was a manufacturer defect. Took them 3 weeks to get to it. Couldn't get a courtesy vehicle cause mine was out of warranty even though it was a manufacturing defect. Then they found an unrelated issue with the wiring harness so I had to get that swapped which it took over a month. Finally got the vehicle back after almost 3 months in the shop. The rear trunk area rattles like it has 3 cases of plastic bottles rubbing against each other. Most of the plastic panels were not re installed correctly. I snapped 2 of them together with a service advisor. The 3rd row seating buttons to raise and lower the seats were not hooked up at all. The sunroof and shade aren't working anymore. There are marks on the plastic panels that they removed and somewhat re assembled. After leaving a negative review on their google page the service manager had the courage to ask me to remove it. I had to drop the vehicle off a couple hours after picking it up, and today they called me asking what else do I need done to it. I guess do what you were supposed to do to it in the last 3 months? I am disappointed in this dealership, there's a lack of Customer Service and Managerial Leadership. It seems like no one knows what is going on, no communication at all. DAMEROW FORD DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR "CUSTOMERS" ONCE THEY HAVE THEIR MONEY IN HAND! I've "tried" to deal with Damerow Ford regarding a GAP Insurance Refund that is OWED TO ME on a 2006 Jeep I traded in back in 2013. I spent over 5 months (from June, 2020 to October 16, 2020) trying to get my GAP Insurance Refund, sending documents to Damerow Ford twice, then only to be ignored until yesterday, 10/15/20, when I was FINALLY contacted by Ryan, the General Manager, AFTER I sent an email to their Corporate offices demanding a phone call from "anyone" at Damerow Ford regarding my refund. And now today, 10/16/20, I'm FINALLY told "you sent the wrong documents"!!! No the information they need, is NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO ME AND THEREFORE, I'M S.O.L.! Even though my wife and I purchased about 5 vehicles from them over a 10 year period, now I am unable to get my refund of $214.98 because it took Damerow Ford OVER 5 MONTHS TO TELL ME I SENT THEM THE WRONG PAPERWORK!!! 3 months after I traded in my car for a van, and I still don't have the license plates and registration. Now I can't even legally drive because my temporary trip permit has expired For the past 3 weeks, I've been getting the run around between the dmvs and the dealership. I am not a happy camper. I was under the impression, that the over $3,000 in fees I paid out to them would cover my plates, tags and registration I went to the dmv in the state I moved to ( I had still not received my tags, registration or plates)...they told me that I needed my tags and plates and registration from where I left, or else I had to dish out another $2,000 in fees. I also asked about a trip permit, I was told the dealership would have to provide that. I've contacted the dmv and they are now sending my tags and registration to my new address, I've called the dealership half a dozen times this week and was told they don't know where my plates would be. I'm still waiting for a manager to talk to. Since I paid them over $3,000 in licensing fees, I don't feel like dishing out another $2,000 just because they are lazy and incompetent. I've bought at least half a dozen cars in my lifetime time, never had any problems whatsoever getting everything done and legal. Right now, I can't even drive my car. With the transit connect we never got the rebate. Also a tire fell off and Damerow wouldn't warranty that and it tore up my ride. Almost $1500 for a new tire wheel and other parts, I didn't even get the body work done. With the f150 we were sold the wrong truck I really wanted a moon roof and was told that ford could install one, only later to find out that with the aluminum body they couldn't. With the transit 250 another rebate wasn't fulfilled and honestly I just don't know if I care anymore, as there was another issue but I forget what it was. I don't ever get my vehicles in for service without losing a half or whole day and don't think I'm appreciated. I got in for an appointment quickly and the staff was nice but they charged me 180$ for a diagnosis that my 12V plug in dash camera was causing my car to die because it was directly connected to the car battery. This is obviously not the problem. I fixed it myself with a 20$ bottle of sea foam fuel cleaner. They could have easily followed the cord and see that it was a plug in one. I was degraded as a woman, treated with extreme disrespect and overall cast out as a customer that didn't matter, despite paying top dollar and being a returning customer. I was very dissatisfied with my service with the service department today. I drop my car off at 9:30am so they can see why my car was having issues finding the gears. So 3pm rolls around and I call the service dept to get an update and an estimated time I can pick up my car. I get forwarded to the voicemail of the guy handling my claim, no big deal I leave a voicemail. He calls me back about 10 min later and says they cant find the issue and that they were test driving it 1 more time to just make sure they didnt miss anything, and says then they will wash the car and it will be ready for pick-up. 5pm rolls around so I call again asking when i can pick up my car and the lady says it's being washed and they have just a little paperwork to finish, and told me to go ahead and come over to pick up my car. I arrive there about 5:30 and the lady says they are still washing it and it will be ready shortly, so I go wait in the sitting area. 6:30 comes around so I get up and the cashier sees me and asks what I was waiting for, so she says ok its ready not let me get your keys and you can be on your way.... They lose my keys her and another guy start looking for them saying the ticket number got mixed up or something. They find my keys a few minutes later and as they are given to me they said they were found on the work station of the guy that washes the cars and that my car wasnt washed and to feel free to come in and get it washed. So long story short from 3:30 to 6:45 they are "washing" my car that never got washed....... They could have said hey were gonna have the car till 6:30 or later and I would have been fine with that, but they didnt and pretty much didnt do anything to fix my car. The lady at the cashiers station was very nice and I'm not upset with her, but they need to be more organized. 9+ hours having my car and didn't do anything but drive it for 10miles.......... read more

We went to the dealer to purchase a new Super Duty truck. First off you cant as there is nothing to buy which is not their fault. So we sat down to order what we want. That is when the tried to charge $7500 over full MSRP just to do paperwork. I had read that Ford was trying to stop this practice but obviously not with them. Good news is there are dealers in the area that will treat you better as I was able to order one at just MSRP. I called Ford Motor and let them know what I thought of their dealer. Good experience with taking my F150 in for oil change and tire rotation. Nate LightbourneHolt was my service advisor. He kept me updated on progress and made sure that I received a credit with a coupon that I received in email. There was a dedicated person that roamed around disinfecting all of the surfaces and things people might touch. He also helped me with the coffee machine to get a latte. Felt very safe. This place treated me like shit, wasted my time and couldn't show me the vehicles that I specifically came in to look at. When I arrived I had a short list of stock numbers/vehicles that I wanted to look at and I ended up being shown just about everything other than what I specifically wanted to see. They forced me to work with three different sales people and each one was more sleazy, aggressive, and rude than the last. After politely introducing myself to each new salesman, the first thing out of my mouth was, "nice to meet you, but in the interest of full disclosure I will not be purchasing a vehicle today." The last sales guy kept talking about "well what if I can lower your monthly payment. " And I explained to him for the 700th time that I am not concerned with any monthly payment, I am interested in the overall purchase price and I would be paying cash....so whatever kind of numbers he was trying to fudge arent going to appeal to me because I don't need financing. I saw one truck that I was marginally interested in and I asked for a print out that had information about the truck. After asking for that same print out at least 7 times I was led to a table and told that they would be right back..... they left me for about 10 minutes sitting by myself, and that's when I gave up and walked out. They tried to use shitty high pressure sales techniques to get me to change my mind and called me stupid when I didn't buy an overpriced truck that smelled like cigarettes. So it's been ~3 weeks since I bought the truck. Damerow Ford had thrown in a plastic bedliner on my F150 as part of the deal. I had second thoughts on the drop-in and decided to go for the spray in bedliner and Damerow was happy to work with me and give me the credit for the drop-in bedliner and use that credit towards whichever accessory I wanted. Great after-sales service. They went the extra mile even though the deal was closed. Highly recommend them, and I really love my truck. SHould have bought one 15 years ago. I will never buy from Damerow again. They don't care about doing the right thing for the customer. I went in to check out a truck that was listed on TrueCar. I was told that truck had been stolen the day before and they showed me some other trucks in my price range. When looking at the truck I ultimately purchased, I told them I wanted new tires put on as the ones on there were clearly worn down to the ware bars. The salesman told me that they'd take care of it if service deemed they needed replacing. I also noticed a ticking nose while driving it that the salesman also stated would be addressed. This was a fresh trade-in that had not yet been inspected. When picking up the truck after it was inspected, they had not replaced the tires, said there was plenty of tread left, the detail left the vehicle still dirty, and the mechanical issues were not addressed. When I complained I was told that we were owed a full detail that they do with all their cars and that they'd schedule an appointment for me for the mechanical work and give me a call. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. I had to reach out to my salesman since no one contacted me. He said he'd have the service department call me the next business day. Still, no one called me. I waited 3 days before calling them and making the appointment myself. I told them what needed fixing and that I wanted new tires because 1) they needed replacing and 2) for their lack of customer service. I filed a BBB complaint to which the general manager replied with a boiler plate response. I've also sent him multiple emails to which he never responded. I took the truck in for all of the issues to be fixed. When I picked it up, they had only rotated the tires. They still did not replace them. I'll never do business with Damerow again and after reading several reviews on Yelp, I'm not the only one severely disappointed with their service. Had a great experience working with Nick Grove. My husband and I were interested in a specific car and didn't want to make the trek down from Seattle only to have the car be sold before we could get there (which had happened with a couple other dealerships). Nick was responsive throughout the negotiations/logistics process and secured a fair trade-in value for our last car. He also sent us additional pictures of the new vehicle when requested and was patient and helpful in answering our questions. I especially appreciated that he would be straight with us if he just wasn't sure about something (like the estimate for final costs associated with title/registration), rather than making promises he later wouldn't be able to keep. For the arenas in which he wasn't well versed, he connected us with a more senior salesman named Stewart, who was also quite helpful. Everyone at Damerow was friendly and courteous. Hands down the crappiest dealership I've dealt with. I've worked in the service dept at Toyota and currently work at service at bmw and I'm shocked this is how you guys operate. I've called for two months leaving 3 voicemails now for a call back to schedule a recall I have on my fusion. I'm the second owner of this vehicle and was planning on making this location my new go to for my service needs since it's so close. But not only is the lady who answers for service short and rude but she transfers me to a gentleman named Ryan who never returns my call. I have been in the market to buy a Ford Escape SE and had a lot of trouble with another dealership getting this car. Hours before I was going in to buy it they called to tell me they sold the car. So we called up Damerow Ford and they assured us they had multiple Escape's in the price range we wanted. We spoke with Steve Huffman by phone and he was great. When we showed up he let us know they were in the process of selling our first pick Escape, but had another with less miles in our price range. He quickly got us out for a test drive and we loved it. He then helped us through the buying and application process. My wife has a traumatic brain injury and she has a really hard time following conversations if people talk too fast or give too much complicated information at one time. Steve (Our salesman) and Mickey (Our Finance guy) were so good at slowing down their speech and breaking things down for her. I appreciated their thoughtfulness. She also started feeling ill during the process and they were sensitive to us and brought her water and something to eat. Mickey got us a good finance option for our credit with a reasonable down payment. He helped us really understand what we were getting and our payments. He also reassured us he would finalize our paperwork and do his best to get an EVEN BETTER rate if he could. After finalizing paperwork Steve got us out to our car. It had been freshly washed and detailed while we were getting insurance settled and paperwork done! He also ensured we left with a full tank of gas as promised. I bought a used Hyundai Elantra from Damerow Ford alomst three months ago. I found the car on true car. The website said the total price for the car paperwork and all was $8900. Damerow emailed me today asking for a copy of the registration proving that I put the car in my name. I paid for them to transfer the title, and they now claim that I agreed to take care of it myself. I have bought several used cars at dealerships in the past and have never been told that I am responsible for transferring the title. I even have a D.M.V. notice of transaction document showing I paid $115 for the title transfer and they still say that I have to do it myself. This review is long overdue.   I bought my car, a 2017 Ford Escape, back in July (2019). The salesman, Gary, was super nice and helpful and I was ready to buy that day, so we went about the process. We couldn't get it all done that day, and the next day he was going on vacation, so he passed me over to another sales representative, and eventually I was working only with one of the finance managers, Rick Reger. This is where the whole process went downhill. I am a 21 year old woman, who has experience dealing with cars, but was a first time buyer from a dealership. Rick from the beginning treated me like I was incompetent. I had a co-signer, who is a male, and I told Rick the best way to get what documents were needed was to go through me. Anyways, the first hiccup was my temporary license tag. They issued a 30 day tag, instead of a 90 day tag. So I had to go back for that, with absolutely no communication. Then, I was told initially the car did not need to go to the DMV, it was all good to go. I received a call, weeks later by a rude manager that I had 24 hours to get it done or they could not issue me my license in time, again they did not call me, but only left a voicemail for my co-signer, that had no interest in communicating with them, as we had both told them to contact me, the vehicle owner. So after all these upsetting interactions, I sent Rick Reger, the finance manager, a very direct email, explaining my concerns and again reiterating I would like to be the main source of contact. Did I get a reply? A apology? Any recognition? Nope...absolutely nothing. He continued to ignore me. Finally my co-signer drove to the dealership to talk to this man. Rick told him "Oh yeah I remember seeing something from her".......I hate to assume but these people seem to be misogynistic. From the beginning I was treated less-than seemingly due to my gender and age, when I was fully competent to make a purchase from their company, and am diligent about payments. I finally received my correct license plate, and have not had to deal with these people. It's just sad that you have to be a man or demanding to be treated with any sort of respect. I hope they clean up their act up because a customer, no matter gender or age, should all be treated like a customer, respectfully. I would never buy from them again. read more

Bought an 2021 F-150 from them and on the test drive it started leaking water inside the truck. They took it to service and supposedly "fixed" it and started leaking again when the rain came back but worse. Went in to talk to the salesman to see what services they would offer to ms... nothing except pushing a new truck with a higher payment on to me. Not once ever tried to offer to fix it again or even offer to make an apt to get this indoor water feature fixed. Salesman was really good as reading a spec sheet about The truck. He said he read my file on there system and told me I was "upgrading" but it was the same truck just in a different color. Nothing different just a newer year. Then went in for my service apt and was told I would be given a loaner. waited out front for 20 mins until someone helped me and they rescheduled my apt because the didn't have any cars available to loan after they told me twice in person and on phone they did. Now I'm once again waiting to get my leaking truck into to get serviced. overall I don't recommend coming here. read more

This is the most terrible car service that I've ever seen. At my fist visit, they told me they changed the airbag due to recall. However later they admitted that they did not change it. I drove my car with an unsafe airbag for a while as they lied about that. They have a terrible and costumer service, hard to communicate. read more

Yet another terrible experience here, Ed in the service department should not be customer facing; some words that would describe my experience: rude, unhelpful, unapologetic. This dealership is a nightmare, last time I make the mistake of going out there. They can't get anything right and expect you to just accept it because it's your only option. Really regret buying my truck here, and which was a painful experience in itself. There is no wonder to me why this industry is dying fast, and frankly after today, good riddance. read more

I bought a barely used 2014 ford focus from them a few years back not knowing it was faulty and did not do the research regarding the defective transmission/ clutch issues. Of course they were not forthright about such. Since then I have been in the shop with 4 clutch issues and new parts and still waiting on a transmission module. Unfortunately when I first started having problems with the lemon, no one would call me back from Damerow, so I went to a different ford dealership that has integrity and honoring the work needed. I'll never buy another ford product and certainly would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Pathetic. read more

From start to finish we had a great experience purchasing from Damerow Ford. The sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. Everyone was friendly and professional. Perry listened to what we wanted and why, and made sure that the truck we bought would meet our needs. He even called to check in the next day!
