It's refreshing to find a steakhouse that serves food and drinks late on a Sunday night. The decor, vibes, and clientele are upscale. It's not uncommon for exotic cars to pull up at the valet station. We sat at the bar and were waited on by James who had a great personality and a flair for mixing cocktails. The "White Walker" is a long-standing cocktail on the Sofia menu, and it really hit the spot (Ketel One vodka, coconut cream, lychee, lemon and club soda). My wife tried the "Geisha's Lullaby" - a Japanese whisky cocktail with pistachio, lime, falernum and vanilla. This cocktail was outstanding! On the food side, I ordered Cacio E Pepe. I enjoyed it. Not creamy like the typical cacio e pepe, but the pasta was served over a delicious slice of beef carpaccio. I'd rate it a 4.5 of 5.0. To finish the evening, I enjoyed a pour of Redbreast 12 from Sofia's wall of spirits. Whiskey lovers will enjoy the options, including luxury pours. My wife tried a Peaches in Paris cocktail - white peach puree, vodka, lemon, St. Germain, and Peychaud's bitters. The Peychaud's bitters bullied this cocktail making it slightly unbalanced. Overall though, we loved the cocktail program.

I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.

Typically not a big "restaurant at a hotel food guy" but the experience and food here we're both pretty good. There's a nice choice of seating if you prefer a bar experience or a sit down restaurant experience. We chose to sit down restaurant experience. Our waiter was very friendly and quite attentive. After mulling over the menu we were set for dinner. My colleague had the fillet mignon, medium rare with mushroom and Bolognese sauce. I got the rigatoni with eggplant. The dinner starts out with two rolls and butter. Be sure to ask for a choice of rolls as it appears, there are three or four different options to choose from. They were OK, not warm, a bit on the stale side. My colleague enjoyed the steak saying it was tender and filling. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor to it. The overall feedback was positive. My rigatoni was Al Dante, perfect! The red sauce was just right. Not too sweet nor too tangy. There was a fair amount of eggplant and balls of mozzarella cheese. I added Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the top. Every bit of my meal was eaten. Not all meals include a salad. The filet did include a salad. I had to get a side salad. The salads were a bit small and lacking variety but overall OK. Overall this restaurant is a good choice.

The wife had ravioli, and I had the seafood linguini. Mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari tossed with perfectly cooked pasta, in a light tomato sauce. Perfect!! No need for dessert, we had doubletree chic chip cookies in our room! Service was friendly, timely, average. The next morning we are in the same room for breakfast. Totally opposite....terrible buffet...service non existent....nice waiter, never around. It's a buffet, had to ask for silverware, had to ask for coffee, had to ask for check....

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.
