After a Sunday morning motorcycle ride up to Squaw Pass, looking for a good breakfast spot at 10:30 am (peak hour for a Sunday). The Evergreen restaurants we stopped at had 45 min waits and were shoulder-to-shoulder. Rode on over to Bergen Park and saw Dandelions, no wait, great patio seating, so we decided to give it a try. Proprietors were very helpful and pleasant. I ordered the French Toast, my wife ordered GF pancakes (turns out there are many GF options here). Both included a meat side. After only a 10 - 15 minute wait, our dishes were brought out to our table on the patio, along with a plate of honey-butter, home-made jam and maple syrup. The food was hot, and very tasty. This was a great discovery and a good alternative to the crowded spots down in Evergreen. Will definitely be back. read more

Dandelions is so awesome. I love all the food, the lavender infused lemonade is amazing. It's small so be prepared for that and plan for some time. They don't have a big kitchen or staff so it takes a bit but it's worth it. I have food allergies and this place will work to get you whatever they can. It's rare I can go to breakfast and really enjoy it and now when the occasion arises I have one - yay! They are family owned so hours aren't always set in stone but it sort of becomes part of its charm. Staff is friendly and very helpful. I love this place! read more

As a local, I KNOW that there are hardly any options for organic diets or even organic vegan/ vegetarian diets. Not only does Dandelions serve on all these fronts, their food is tastily put together in a way I have not found anywhere, even in my travels to similar restaurants around the world. read more

I've been here once at lunch. The thin crust pizza was really very good and a 10 inch was $10. Plus they offer homemade lavender or strawberry-basil lemonade. Limited outdoor seating. It was a really nice lunch, will be back. read more

Lovely people, yummy food!! We stopped in for a late-afternoon snack after a cold trek (well, drive really!) up Mt. Evans. The owner delivered the sad news that we couldn't have our dogs on the patio with us (boo, hiss, Dept. of Health!), so we had to leave them in the parking lot. But things improved when the food arrived - yummy grilled cheese and the best cole slaw we've ever had. I normally don't like cole slaw, but this stuff was magical - slightly sweet and light and crunchy. Amazing find, we wanna go back and buy a gallon of that cole slaw!! To make up for the ban on dogs, the owner even delivered a doggie bag of chicken to apologize for the Dept. of Health's rude paranoia, which was quite nice of him. The dogs enjoyed it when we stopped at the Evergreen dog park on our way. Will definitely stop back on our next visit to Evergreen!! read more

I wanted to check the place out as I saw excellent reviews and being new to Evergreen. I tried going there yesterday with my son and sister and waited inside at the front entrance for about 5 minutes and no one ever even greeted us. Two employees looked up and saw us and not even a smile, we will be with you in a minute or a hello. The service is slower than slow! The food is over priced and average. After paying $9.00 for a bland turkey and Brie sandwich, (very little Brie, btw...). We won't be back. The bread was just plain, dry, toasted bread, no sort of sauce. Very plain, dry and tasteless. Small family ran restaurant. We like that they use local and high quality ingredients. Food is excellent and very friendly staff. We usually come here for breakfast and lunch, and never been disappointed. Everything is handmade so it takes a little longer to prep the food, but it's so worth await. Conveniently located, right across from the Evergreen Fire Station. For breakfast, we usually get omelet, waffles or their buttermilk pancakes and love all their sandwiches and pizzas, too. This is a nice,local restaurant. I find that the hours aren't always the most convenient..they seem to close a little early for my tastes. I always feel like I'm getting there when they're cleaning up and getting ready to go home, and I usually don't go late, just after work. The salads are really, really good. read more

We had a turkey Brie sandwich, the Jersey (authentic pork roll egg and cheese for you east coasters) and a spectacular quiche. We all had to send out compliments back to the chef. Went there on a Saturday morning for brunch with a group of friends after paddle boarding. We were pretty hungry, so everyone was satisfied with the food. I ordered scrambled eggs. Somehow they didn't put salt in it. So don't order it if you like salty food. It's a pretty small place. We merged two tables to sit together. Gave dandelions a try today after about a year and a half of not visiting. Was confused about the location at first, but they have moved to a new, larger location down the road. We come to Evergreen twice a year to house/ dog sit and always stop at the Dandelion for breakfast. The people working there are very friendly and the food is wonderful . They have the BEST bacon! Delicious, fresh food. I have eaten their on multiple occasions. My Mediterranean omelet with goat cheese was fantastic! The flavors really complimented each other as the goat cheese rocked! When they give you hot chocolate they have a whole bowl of marshmallows and each breakfast comes with a side of toast and jam. The pizza is also a awesome option. Stopped there on the way back from a hike. The food was delicious, and there was a lot of variety on the menu. Their lemonade (tried two flavors) is amazingly refreshing and tasty (I recommend the Lavender). The owner is super friendly and gave me and my friends a free cupcake (we had ordered one for the 3 of us to share) so we wouldn't fight over it! This is a local place and there aren't too many employees, so the food could take slightly longer than usual to come out, but it was worth the wait. Take the extra 5 minutes and just go to the King Soopers deli department and have them make something for you - you will be just as delighted with the quality of the food, since that seems to be where this establishment buys it from before slapping it on a plate and marking it up. Also, dairy-free and no eggs includes a heaping helping of cheese and eggs. I got it to go and did not discover that fun tidbit until I got to where I was going. Not happy with our first, and last visit, to this cafe. Help was not friendly, and the food presentation not good. Pizza had no taste, and my sandwich was put together terribly--huge high piece of lettuce, and sliced pieces of onions that fell out of the sandwich. The turkey meat was excellent, though. Too bad. We had heard great things about this restaurant The food is ok,, if you like a Sandwich with nothing. The soup was lukewarm having been sitting waiting to be served for several minutes. Worst of all was the service. It was over 30 minutes to get a cold sandwich and a bowl of soup. This is a gem hidden in Evergreen. Practically everything is made in house and you can tell. We've tried both breakfast and lunch. French toast - best I've had in a long time, no frills, just delicious. Breakfast burrito - absolutely amazing with the home made green chili. Stopped in with two girlfriends and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, I had the breakfast burrito. Burritos are generally tortilla, egg, potato. What makes or breaks the dish is the green chile, and the green chile here was phenomenal. Spicy, but not too much. Meaty (lots of pork), flavorful, filling. Also had a slice of pizza from my friend's pie, which was delicious. But, the kicker was the sugar cookie. Sugar cookies are my weakness, and this one was in my top 3 all-time favorites, only to find out later that it was surprisingly gluten-free. Magical read more
