Chicken Cesar salad with most wonderful croutons!

Found this place online and we're not disappointed! Really nice greeting as we came in. He recommended the chicken salad as it's homemade. My son in law was all over that! He got it on Dutch crunch and said it was the best chicken salad he has ever had. My daughter ordered the chicken Cesar salad.... She thought it would be in house cooked chicken breast but it was the prepackaged chicken. I had the ham, salami and Swiss on Dutch crunch.... Bread was really fresh and the flavors were so good. Our friend ordered the chicken salad on rye.... Again bread was really fresh. The kids all got grilled cheese. Sandwiches come with "the works"- mayo, mustard, garlic oil, lettuce, tomato, pickle, peppercinis, seasoning. Great local place!

Dandy Sandos is my husband and I's #1 go-to local spot for sandwiches here in Petaluma. They have all sorts of creative sandwiches such as "Gone Golfing," "The P-Town" and "What's Up Bro?", crafted by the owner that are perfect for picnics, a quick easy lunch or a night in while you watch Stranger Things. *Pepper Jack Sparrow- On a Dutch Crunch Roll (The best), this sandwich is on the secret menu with pepper jack cheese, Dandy's special sauce, onions and turkey. *Turkey Sandwich-I always get the Dutch Crunch Roll with everything on it (except lettuce) and add the Dandy Sauce, mustard, oil and vinegar. The first bite crunch is sooo satisfying and the sandwiches are so juicy and made with fresh ingredients. It's also a hole in the wall that has a welcoming atmosphere. The employees somehow always remember our names (can you tell we're regulars? lol), and they make you feel like part of a close community that you want to support even more. Price per sandwiches are fantastic starting just at $10.99 (like, excuse me?!) and worth every penny. Dandy's also has a select number of nostalgic drinks besides sodas such as Olipops, energy drinks, etc. Whenever you check out, don't forget your free treat (dum-dum lollipops or smarties!) We highly recommend if you're every visiting P-town. :)

I used to know Dandy Sandos as Mr. Pickles back in the day. The name changed, but the sandwiches remain fantastic . Walking inside you get hit but all the cool decor this place has, making it cosy and fun. The staff are friendly and are hard at work at their sandwich making craft. My personal favorite- P Town on a Dutch crunch . If you're looking for just a darn good sandwich then I'd totally recommend Dandy Sandos; it's one of the best sandwich places around in my opinion. Lots of options to choose from or you can make your own favorite! All delicious.

I've become a big fan of Dandy Sandos! I love sandwiches and these are no exception. They have a large menu of sandwiches as well as a build your own menu. The sandwiches are unique and tasty! I love how fresh the ingredients are, especially the bread! The sandwiches are huge and can easily be two meals. They don't hold back with toppings. Service is also great! The employees are kind and have my sandwiches ready quickly. It's usually not too busy when I come in and there's always seating available. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Staff is superb, on phone and in person, always friendly. Any special requests are noted and followed carefully. Food is delicious, go-tos include the Little Pepper #16, Mustang #12, and the Gaucho. The storefront, near a local high school and suburbs, gives a great local business feel. Go-to sandwich shop, will come again!

Mahalo to Dan and his team for making amazing and tasty style sub sandwiches! I can't wait to comeback and try other subs!... they open at 8am...just enough time to buy a sub for my kids LUNCH!

Loved our sandos that we picked up for kayaking on the water - nice and thick with good sauces. Reasonable prices for area and had all the fixings. Cute vibe, some of the toppings were inconsistent and rolls nothing special, considering what's available locally so not giving top rating, but would go back no question. read more

I finally had a chance to try Dandy Sandos and it was delicious. I got the Turkey and salami. The sandwich was great and I will definitely be back but the service and whole team behind the counter was really fantastic. So friendly on the phone even though I called during prime lunch hour and when I went in they had received a very large corporate order and boy were they hustlin (side note to readers-if you're ordering for your whole office (15+ orders) don't be the person to call that in at 12pm day of that's a jerk move to do to a lunch place. But they we're moving and grooving and got to all the other non office orders like mine very quickly and kept a smile the whole time. Great place! read more

Stopped in this morning a little after 9 and was almost immediately greeted and assisted. I was just passing through for work and not from the area so I asked the man behind the counter for a recommendation he was quick and knowledgeable about the menu very courteous and my sandwich was done and I was out the door in about 5 minutes with chips and a complimentary sucker. My sandwich was just as good as their customer service highly recommend. read more

I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews which made me nervous about trying it. They obviously specialize in making a great sandwich and they succeed. If you've ever had a sandwich from Ike's then you'll be familiar with how each sandwich has a name. I got here at 11 am and there was already a line which is always a good sign. read more

Amazing service! I can't believe how kind and the lengths Daniel went to make sure my experience was great. I added hummus to my sandwich but didn't realize it had red peppers (I'm deathly allergic). He went WAY above and beyond to correct my sandwich. First, he genuinely apologized and quickly went to make me a new one. The bread ran out and a new round was being made so I had to wait a little bit. Then the avocado ran out and he literally ran to the store to get me some. Oh my goodness what a hero. It was a veggie sandwich so it would have been kinda empty without it. Not on Daniel's watch, no sir! I haven't even eaten the sandwich yet and I'm in love with this place. 10 stars all day! Plus he kept his cool and he spoke so kindly to the staff. What a guy, give him a raise! read more

My wife, (adult) daughter and I at lunch here on 7/4/23 after hiking in the redwoods. We were all very hungry. The sandwiches were tasty with fabulous bread and very good insides (turkey, roast beef, etc.). These were as good as Michael's Sourdough (Novato) and only slightly below the world famous Little Lucca Sandwich Shop in San Francisco, because Little Lucca makes the best chicken parmigiana sandwich anywhere including many places I have tried in NY City. Dandy's staff were very friendly and fast! There were a few inside tables and also a couple of outside ones. We needed to stay in Petaluma to catch a bus and thus ate at Dandy. In the future, we will probably bring the food home or drive to a local park. read more

Out of the blue decided to stop here on a little get away to Rohnert Park. Dandy Sandos sandwiches are the real deal. All of their sandwiches are unique and not one is the same. I had the Tony Saprano and It lived up to his name with meat piled up on a nice toasty crunchy sour roll. Prices are very reasonable and well worth it. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcomed like your family. Will definitely go back again! read more

Wow!! Outstanding sandwiches delivered via Petaluma Food Taxi! I ordered the #3 a italian combo type and added avocado. Amazing! Half was a meal. My nephew had a bbq beef double meat with bacon and avocado he could only do half. So glad I tried a different restaurant. Next time at will be a salad!! What a great find! Dandy Sandos has really helpful & friendly staff, is a clean establishment, and has delicious sandwiches. We ordered 5 different sandwiches: The Gaucho w cranberry sauce, a build your own on rye, the Bacon Bubba, the Pulp Fiction and a kids turkey sandwich. Every single sandwich was perfect. The bacon, the bread, the way the avocado is layered onto the sandwich - all perfect! And if you are undecided about going with the works on your sandwich, do it. Recently returned to Dandy Sandos while passing through Petaluma last week. Always great sandwiches - better than anywhere I've ever been. Their selection of sandwiches is tremendous, ranging from traditional to Dandy Sandos originals. Service is quick, efficient and welcoming. There's inside and outside seating, good atmosphere and good vibes. They have a web site. Dandy Sandos gets my highest recommendation - wish there was one where I live! read more

Hands down one of my favorite places to get a sandwich. Such a wide variety of options to build your own or choose from one their house made sandwich options. Been going her since it was mr pickles. My daughter and I now go and have made our stop for sandwiches when we want them for lunch. Staff is super friendly and the service has always been amazing.
