I used Daniel movers for a uhaul unpacking recently. The company is very professional and on time. Their rates are very competitive and well worth it if it is in your budget. Eventhough they have a 3 hr minimum, my items were handled with care, they asked as each item was brought in where I would like it placed. They also put back together a queen size bed and a heavy mirror on a dresser. While that may be not a big deal to others, it was a huge help to me! All being said they showed up on time, didn't waste anytime, were very profressional and where in and out in 45 minutes. Eventhough they had a 3 hr minimum, well worth it. I used Daniel Movers for a move recently. They arrived on time walked through house to see what needed to be loaded and within an hour had everything on truck. I already had everything packed in boxes that needed to go. We even made a stop at storage to pick up couches and a few other items. Arrived at new house bedrooms set up quickly and everything unloaded for us. They were very professional and fast. Total move time was 2 1/2 hours. Best move I have ever experienced. We are profoundly dissatisfied with our recent move. I have moved 75 times in my life and this job ranks at the bottom. Packers arrived with used, beat up, writing covered, flood muddied, boxes from grocery stores. From someone else's move. Not new, professional, moving boxes. New moving materials were specified on the bid. They had no bubble wrap (they used ours) and mostly previously used paper. There were insufficient men to complete the job properly - both packing and moving. I had to let them cut corners just to get it done on time. This was not bid out as a cut rate job - I was expecting a full service move. MANY fragile items were packed with no padding - just placed in a box next to each other. This was particularly true with my wife's antiques which are painted metal. They are now dented and have swapped paint with other items in the boxes. As far as she is concerned - they are ruined. Dishes and stand mixers should not be packed with a pair of work boots in the same box. And if they are in the same box they should at least have some paper between them. Even with some wrapping you cannot pack thin goblets with plates. Paintings were wrapped in cardboard - but several had 2-3 inches of the frames sticking out. Cloth items were used as packing material. For example, our linen closet was raided as a source of packing materials. Expensive table runners were used to wrap dirty electronics. Etc. etc. They advertise as specializing in antiques. Many of our antique furniture items received no wrapping or packing at all. Many that were wrapped in plastic received only one or two turns of protection with the tops and bottoms receiving none. Many are dented and scraped. Several have quarter size gouges in them and are ruined. Most of the boxes were not labeled. Because they were running out of time I let them stack them all together in the new house. As a result, it was very difficult to locate items and unpacking was very slow. They disassembled the legs on one table and instead of taping the bolts to it they were placed in some random box. We have not been able to locate them and are looking at having to throw the desk away. I started to put in an insurance claim for this move but quickly realized that was a joke. I am out thousands of dollars. On the plus side - the movers had many opportunities to steal small, highly valuable items - but were all very honest. read more

I've never heard of Daniel Movers but was recommended by a neighbor and I was very impressed with their service. They showed up on time (even a few minutes early). Daniel Movers recently moved my parents from one Houston location to another. I cannot say enough good things about the guys that helped and the move overall. They showed up on time. They introduced themselves. The lead guy asked a lot of good questions before even starting to move things. He wanted a tour of the house that we were moving from. And when he got to the new location, he wanted a tour of the house before they started to move anything in. I could not find a scratch or a dent on anything, not a piece of furniture or a wall.
