What an incredible Italian cafe. The most noteworthy item on their menu is their Pinsa.... a pizza made with a type of crust that can only be found 8 different places in the US. (as we were told by the owner who greeted us) You can spot these in a case when you first walk in , we chose the four cheese one, and boy was it superb! We also opted to share the Pomadoro pasta, which came in a tomato cream sauce... it was satisfying and was a nice portion. Service was friendly, even though it was hectic with several take out orders being called in. Save room for dessert-even if it's a small scoop of in house made gelato- yum yum ! With the covid19 thing going on this place is still a busy place. There's seating for 25 at least but that's just right. The food is amazing. My wife ordered the Beef Shortrib with linguine and it was delicious. Large short rib sitting on top of the pasta and broth that it was simmered in surrounded the star of the plate. I ordered the carbonara. Made with pork belly and fresh pecorino and egg. When done right with the best ingredients it's some of the best I've had. Served by the owner herself Daniela who was very attentive. Our server Rob was also very knowledgeable and helpful. We love Daniela. Have been going there for quite a while now. My "go to" because I'm a fat ass, is the margarita pizza and Pasta Pomodoro. I really like the sauce flavoring they use on that particular dish although I've also had the carbonara which is pretty amazing as well so really my fat ass goes back-and-forth on those. Their pizzas are really like none other in the city, they more like a large bruschetta- rectangular in size but light and airy with the perfect combination of basil and mozzarella (in the case of the Margherita pizza) And also before I forget a quick shout out to their house salad which is quite lovely. The bar is a fun horse shoe shaped area that you need to get in early if you want a spot and their "to go" service is always well planned out. It's easy to pull up in front, run in, grab your order and go. I'm so glad they made it through the shut down and are still running at full speed - they also do an amazing catering service - so here's to continued success! read more

Sandwiches are very solid, but I'd recommend the pizza 10x over, it's seriously that good. And talk about options!! There are choices for vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters alike. Oh and don't even THINK about skipping dessert when you come by. The tiramisu is beyond addictive, pure ecstacy. I don't have words to explain how fantastic it is, whether or not you even like tiramisu. The Nutella brownies are rich af and the loaded gelato is out of this world too!! I had so much hope for this place! My husband and I live nearby and were excited to go for date night. We were sat at a very long table with strangers that lacked any intimacy. The service was quite poor. One server gave us a basket of bread and dip and moments later, our server told us that it wasn't meant for us and took it to another customer. Our server kept saying she'd be right back and then forget about us. The pizzas were fine - not bad, but nothing special. Just an fyi they are tiny. Like only a handful of tables, I'd say maybe 10 total, though there is also a large bar to sit at. But if it's a busy night be prepared to wait and they don't take reservations. All that being said the food is bomb! We got a margherita pizza to start...I know not really a starter but I like to think anything can be a starter with the right number of people. anyways it was fantastic with big giant pieces of basil on it, I was a happy girl. I also settled on a nice glass of Chardonnay. We then split two of the pasta dishes, one was orecchiette with garlic, broccoli, and red pepper flakes and the other was a cream red sauce with I believe it was either linguine or spaghetti. This is my favorite place for fancy-ish pizza in the Buffalo area. If you've read other pizza reviews of mine, you know that I'm picky, so this is a big deal. I've tried the Funghi e Rucola (mushroom and arugula) and the Margherita pinsas. The crust isn't the NYC-style that's hard to find in these parts and that I love the most, but it IS good. It's not heavy at all, and even though the pinsas are a good size, you can eat an entire one by yourself and not feel bloated. The Funghi was stellar: the mushroom, the cheese and the arugula all went together beautifully. The Margherita was very good, and I liked how creamy the cheese was, though would have preferred it if the cheese wasn't still cold--but a minor flaw on an otherwise good pie. I've also had the chocolate and ruby chocolate gelato. I was impressed by how deep the chocolate flavor was in the chocolate gelato. It was even dairy free, but I didn't feel that anything was missing. The sorbet flavors are interesting, too, though I haven't tried them myself. My husband's had the chamomile jasmine, as well an alcoholic sorbet made with Blackbird Cider. While the gelato portions aren't big, the amount you get is satisfying. The staff is pleasant, and the dining room is nice, but not overly formal, and we felt comfortable bringing a baby in a stroller here at lunchtime (they do provide high chairs as well). Stopped by for lunch with my coworkers and we were VERY pleased with our lunch! A few of them ordered pizza which tastes fresh and delicious. Some other ordered pasta which also got fantastic reviews and they loved the portions. I ordered the grain salad with grilled chicken which was a refreshing slightly healthy option. Some at the the table munched on tiramisu for dessert which seemed to fly off the plate! I had some of there gelato a scoop of pumpkin pie and and one of ube fudge. The pumpkin pie had little bits of white chocolate that made it all the more delicious. The ube did not come through to me but the fudge swirls tasted like crushed up Halloween candy (in the best way possible!) They don't take reservations for under 6 people and it only has under 10 tables so we sat at the bar. Good service and friendly. Also note they only serve wine or beer. No liquor. We had the egg drop soup, tenderloin skewers, the margarita pizza and the pasta carbonara. The tenderloin was beyond tender!!! I believe arugula was on top of it with olive oil and shaved Parmesan. While very tender, I think the seasoning was a little flat. It needed an acid. Possible a slash of balsamic. The pizza was AMAZING!! The dough was light and had a great texture. The burrata like cheese on top with basil leaves was delicious!!!! It was our favorite item. The carbonara was delicious too. I liked how the sauce was loose and not real heavy. The pasta was cooked perfectly!! I didn't care much for the toasted bread that came with the soup and pasta. While perfectly toasted, I don't care for oregano which was on it. But that's just me. I didn't love what I got, but looking forward to coming back and trying something different. We ordered the French onion dip and chips, which was sweet and didn't expect that. My husband got the lasagna and it was good. I got the broccoli rabe with orecchiette. Since it was our first time here, our server gave us such an amazing introduction for the menu, recommendations, they are one of the eight places in US that sell Pinza. My friend got the 'Nduja Melanzane Pinza and I got the Penne Melanzane and burrata. We really enjoyed both the dishes, so fresh and delicious. For dessert, we got the tiramisu, and it's was the best tiramisu we have ever had. It had the perfect taste, well balanced and very delicious. Can't wait to go back and enjoy their other items! We have been wanting to go here since it opened, and the food definitely did not disappoint! We all had a variety of food, ranging from pizzas to pastas to paninis - all fantastic. My parents, who have Italian heritage and have been to Italy multiple times, could tell right away that the food was all homemade. I will say, my only complaint was the acoustics. It was VERY loud for not a lot of seating. I'm assuming it was due to the concrete floors, so maybe some area rugs would help. Otherwise, their staff was very friendly and helpful, and their bar area and ambiance was super cute! We will definitely be going back. read more

Service above and beyond !!! - I ordered two takeout meals (7/10/24), returning home we found out we had the wrong package. Called the restaurant and they said "so sorry for the mistake ... we'll send out the correct order" .... Thought they might change their mind when they found out we lived in Orchard Park but Daniela herself rang the front doorbell 30 minutes later, in a driving rainstorm, with our favorite meals!!! She wouldn't accept any monies and told us to enjoy the other meals as well. I just hope that they keep the quality as they become popular. This is one of those places that are a bit pricey but you pay it willingly. The Roman style pizza was the best pizza I've had in buffalo. I'm a fan of very thin pizzas usually but their crust was so airy, light and crispy that I enjoyed every bite. The toppings ( Ham, artichoke, olives and cheese) also worked very well together. We also tried the Ice cream and the pistachio Ice cream was definitely the best pistachio Ice cream I have ever had!
