Man. I'm saddened to leave this review. Went in to the store to find something advertised online. They did not carry it in the store, but had a cheaper version which the clerk said she'd price match to the other item. Except the item was originally $405, marked down to $125.97, this set was only $295 (and should have been on sale, too). I looked at a few more items, and she didn't look up the prices, only said she'd sell it to me for $125. We're talking a $179 bracelet (on sale), some earrings, and a ring. She called around and found the item at another store. She offered to order it, but I had to pay for it (without seeing it in person, and it was an "as is" item). When I told her I was on my way to Hayward, she said the item was at the Modesto location. I left the store, but decided I'd just drive out to Modesto since this was a very important gift for my long time surrogate mother, deceased mother's best friend, celebrating a large birthday after surviving Cancer TWICE! I wanted a ruby and white sapphire birthstone set to commemorate this special occasion. Luckily, I called the Modesto store, only to get told the item (the only one in The Bay Area), was ACTUALLY IN HAYWARD! I'm so disappointed about this lady's dishonesty and sales practices. Thank you to the honest woman in Modesto, and thank you to the kind folks at Hayward. They held the set for me, and price matched the online price. I think this location has lost a customer. Two stars for the clerks at the other store who navigated me in the right direction. ZERO stars for this location. read more

I bought a chain from this store because it came with a lifetime warranty--or so I was told. When the chain broke, I brought it back expecting them to stand behind their word. Instead, they refused to repair or replace it, claiming the chain size doesn't match what they sell--even though it's the exact one I purchased from them. Jenifer "The Store Manager "didn't even help to find a solution . Instead of, she made me feel like a lier. I haven't altered or changed the chain in any way. It's frustrating and disappointing to be told something has a lifetime warranty, only to have that promise completely denied when you need it. Either they're not keeping proper records, or they're making excuses to avoid honoring their warranty. Be careful and get everything in writing. Take a ruler with you.and ask for the store standard size. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who expects honest service or reliable customer support after a purchase. read more

There are 3 options (I believe) to get your ears pierced at Great Mall. Daniel's Jewelers was one of them and they charged me $130. The piercing service is actually free; and you're just paying for the earrings. The associate by the name of: Imma (maybe short for Immaculate?) did the ear piercing but where she placed the dot on the ear lobe versus where the gun actually pierced through was inaccurate - thus the one star review. It left one earring too close to the edge of the ear vs the other ear had a better placement. We immediately took out the bad earring and let it close up. This took place on Feb 22, 2025. The employees were very friendly when I purchased a pair of gold earrings about a year ago. Unfortunately, the clasp broke off one of the earrings, so I took the earrings back to the store and asked of they could fix it. The lady behind the counter did not ask if I wanted to pay for the repair, she just said that they do not repair that type of clasp - it's too hard, so they just don't do it. The store sells items and tell you to bring them back for cleaning and repairs, but do not follow through with their promises. I will sell the gold and use that money to purchase another pair of gold earrings at a more reputable jewelry store. Will never purchase another piece of jewelry at Daniel's again. read more

Overall a good experience and I made a purchase as well. The only reason I give 4 stars is because they did not have an extensive collection to choose from. I went in to buy a while gold chain and pendent. Something small and delicate. When I went there I really liked rose gold. They had approximately 4 options for rose gold. Although I did like one of those I would have loved to see more options. Nevertheless the experience was good. I received good discounts and a free gift as well. I have been wanting to set up a review due to the great service here! I've been here two separate times, both times to pierce my ears because I'd forgotten about them. If you want to get your ears pierced, get them pierced here rather than Claire's or Icing's since they're so overpriced. You do need an adult 18 or over if you want them pierced though. Once you get your ears pierced, purchase a bottle that helps prevent infection for only $3. Depending on which earring you buy, that determines your price (piercing itself is free). It was a good experience at first. I was helped out by a man named Kim and he was amazing. As soon as i walked in the door he greeted me and immediately helped me out. But when i came back to do my payments on my jewelry there were 3 filipino ladies there helping out this one filipino man. I assumed they needed to do something important so I walked in and none of them greeted me as i walked around. Im also filipino as well and turns out they were just chit chatting the whole time. Finally i get help after standing around for 15 minutes. Almost done with my transaction the cashier Juanita tells me that she forgot to charge me the 4 cents left on my account, and right after she greets a man that just walked in. Bought a ring with matching earrings and necklace for my wife for Christmas. Was very happy with the experience, and the gentleman who helped me was great. He told me that when my wife brought it back to have it sized, it would be $25. A week after Christmas, my wife took them the ring, and not only were Maria and another woman extremely rude to her, but they now wanted $45 to do the sizing. To avoid any further confrontations, my wife left the ring and I told her I would call. When the ring was supposed to be ready, I called and first spoke to Cora who would not listen to what I was saying, and even hung up on me. When I called back, I spoke with Maria, and completely understood what my wife was talking about. She was very short and rude, and had the worst attitude I have ever come across in a retail business.
