She kept insisting to do the Kay card for financing or don't worry about price there is payments ( never ask if we wanted to pay up front or finance ) my fiancé tried on a ring and wanted to compare with another but was told she can only hold one at a time/ Diana had to hold thee other ...which was fine other shops are same She kept asking for us to stop touching the diamond as our skins oil will disturb with clarity ... she made remarks about how now she has to go clean them later . My fiancé was debating the ring on her finger/hand but Diana said that's not how you are supposed to view it ... then brought her mirror out and said to view through the mirror -.- ???? My fiancé had ask me take out her phone so she can take a picture of it ... Diana had said no we can't take pictures ... we thought it was a joke but she told us people take pictures of rings and the tags then come back with fake replica trying to swap them out . We told her Kay's else where never told us anything of that ... according to Dina the policy just changed last week ... She asked if we shop there before I told her yes we've purchased from previous years going back to 2017 . We ask to put the one we like down on the wishlist . She looked at us confused asking if we knew what a wishlist is... she then proceeded telling us what it was ...Obviously we know what a wishlist is . This whole encounter was super overwhelming I felt like I was being discriminated , felt like she treated us as if we were thieves trying to scam/steal from them and most importantly discouraged... we came in hoping to get an engagement rings for our new beginnings . I finally got fed up ... got up from my seat and told my fiancé let's go . Diana had the audacity to remark with " where are you guys going ? Getting married? My purchase of a set of children's heart shaped earrings were made on 11/15/22 and exactly one week from the day of purchase, the earrings are busted!! Keep in mind that it took me about 3 days after purchase to even put the earrings to use since my daughter was using tiny diamond studs at the moment. Not only was the discounted rate of 40% not accurate [see my initial review], I let it slide and decided to keep them out of pure fondness of its simple yet girly design. I took my ring in not even a month after it was bought because the center stone fell out. Now that more stones fell out, they claim they have to charge because I didnt bring it in within 6 months. They never said that. My fiance worked so hard to get me the ring I wanted and now they wont fix it without charging. These women are rude, scammers and have poor customer service. I bought a pair of earrings from this store for my child. I paid over $100 thinking it would be of quality and would last her a long time. I even got the $25 protection plan thinking it will be worth it. Her first pair cost $50 and lasted for 5years. However, in a little bit over a month, one piece was lost due to the poorly made earring lock. I only found out when I noticed that the other earring was falling apart because the lock was loose and almost disintegrating. I contacted customer service online and they advised me that I can bring it back and have it exchanged at the store since it is less than 60 days. I did that and the store said that they are unable to replace the earrings because they were lost. Disappointed at how these earrings are expensive yet made so poorly and how customer service gave me the wrong guidance in resolving the issue. Will not trust this business again. read more

To top it all off, Susan made it difficult to get my ring because we had the name on the insurance changed over ( which we let them know three times already). I don't even know where to start, I am livid. I made a purchase for our wedding rings for my husband and I about a year ago. I was told since I was spending a certain amount I would not have to pay interest on special financing if I opened a credit card. So I agreed to open the credit card because it seemed like a deal. I was told that the 20% down payment would be waived because of the amount we paid. Long story short I've been getting charged interest throughout the year. They refuse to reverse the charges, and now I have to pay $500 in interest. If I was going to be paying for interest I would have just used a regular credit card. At least I get airline miles with those. Looking at all of the yelp reviews, it seems like this location has an issue with employees getting over on customer with special financing. Seriously debating on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I will be trying to contact the credit card company again to try to resolve this before i do so. read more

While we were distracted with trying out the different sizes, she asked for my name, phone number, and email address. I didn't mind it initially because I figured it's standard retail sales protocol to get you registered into their system. It wasn't until she started insisting for my address and ID number that I asked her why she needed this information. We were met with a half-hearted explanation, but I continued to question it, and that's when I realized she was trying to open up a credit account for us. We hadn't talked about ring style preferences with her -- heck, I didn't even know her NAME yet, and she was already attempting to open up a credit account for me without my explicit permission. If I could, I would give this location 0 stars. I started my shopping at a smaller non chain jewelry shop where the consultant/sales rep was rude and unhelpful. I have always had positive experiences with Kay's jewelers so I thought I couldn't go wrong here. Boy was I wrong, I should have looked at the reviews first. The consultant, who was far from warm and friendly, asked me how she could help and then said nothing after I explained that I was shopping for an engagement ring for myself. Idk how most couples do it but with him in the military and away for training the easiest way was for me to find the ring and send him what he needs to purchase it. She pointed down at the rings encouraging me to look so I did, unsure where to begin or how it all works. The next words out of her mouth were "are you ready? Because we have two other customers" ???? After explaining that I was waiting for her to assist me she again just pointed down at the rings and said "pick one that you like". As I looked at the rings and asked questions she proceeded to tap her finger nail on the glass impatiently....so I said thank you and walked out. She too her time to explain everything and walked us through the whole diamond process. She listens to what I liked and heard everything I didn't. She would ask questions about what was great about the ring and what wasn't. She also helped us stay in our budget, while still helping us find two perfect rings! So far, I've had such negative experience with Kay, but since we were already on the way of purchasing a beautiful ring, I didn't want to just drop everything. Anyway.. Kay in Valley Fair always seem to be a hit or miss.. hit of miss meaning whoever you end up with as your retail associate. So, my fiance and I ended up purchasing a ring here previously and decided to go to another Kay to look at better options and take advantage of the sale that was going on. So, we ended up going to this outlet. This outlet started off really great. They matched my engagement ring perfectly with a wedding band. The first thing that came to my mind, however, was the moment I walked into the store with my fiance. The two associates were just sitting and chit chatting, looked at us from a distance and started laughing. The first thing that came to mind was.. **"Wait? Why are they laughing at us?"** Whatever, I just brushed it off. They sat us down and helped us find a ring, which was a lot better than the purchase we had made at the other Kay. We decided to proceed with the transaction. **The lady helping us decided to take my engagement ring (she was trying to check the match between my wedding band and ring), and suddenly go into the back to answer her own phone.** Wth? She came out 5 minutes later and asked if I wanted it to be cleaned. I agreed that she should. She eventually took my driver's license to find my account, which we figured didn't have a high enough credit limit because of my lack of credit history. Which was fine because we decided to get it under my fiance instead. **The problem was.. even when I didn't have enough of a credit limit, my driver's license just completely disappeared??** Completely disorganized! I got it back before we left, thank goodness! **And last, but not least, my ring finger is small since I seem to be fairly petite.. which I completely understand I need to get resized. That, I don't have a problem with, but they seem to lack a lot of professionalism due to the fact that they said I looked like I'm only 16 or 17 (why would I be getting married then?). Another fact is that the other associate, decided to go around hunt for a ring that fit my actual size without having to resize it. And before we left, she literally walked up to me, took my hand, and put that ring she was holding into my finger without permission! WHAT. THE. HELL. And she bursts out laughing and saying, "OH! LOOK! SEE! WE DO SELL A RING THAT FITS YOUR SIZE IN OUR STORE!" WHAT THE HELL. DID I ASSSSSKKKK YOU TO FIND ME ONE?! This store has a very pushy car salesman vibe. They tried to upsell and did not listen to what I wanted. As soon as I got approved for a credit card with a high amount they started trash talking the original piece I wanted (yes their own product) and wanted to upsell me. This store cares about making their own sales goals instead of getting you what you want and listening to your needs. I really wanted the less expensive ring. My friend told me not to get it and shop somewhere else. She noted that the salesperson denied the sale prices my friend saw at the Eastridge Kay. My friend pulled up the price online then the salesperson said "Oh! I can match that!" My friend immediately did not trust the store after the salesperson did that and pulled the "We will think about it" line. The salesperson blatantly said "Why did you do that? Why are you trying to talk her out of buying this?" Since they called out my friend like this and were extremely aggressive and rude, we walked out. I will never recommend this Kay Jewelers to anyone. My biggest lesson I learned was just because they're an outlet does not guarantee that they will give you a better deal. So I just want to share my experience. I went to this Kay Jewelers twice once with my bracelet which was ok experience would be better if there customer service was good. Went back again saw a ring and of course I got it.... so now here is the fucked up situAtion..... My ring lost a diamond, that same Day Kay Jewelers called to let me know there specials and so I told the associate my issue and she asked me about warranty and the every 6month inspection. Told her that I have no clue no one told me matter of fact if I knew that I would of done that. So then tells me to come in and speak with the manager Annabelle. Went there and showed her and she telling me that my ring is not a diamond and there's no way to fix. I explain it to her what happen. So At the end of the day she send it out regardless. Now for today experience.... Now today experience... went in to pick up my jewelry and the manager looked and ask me what u need told her I'm here to pick up so instead of helping me she called this Asian lady with a heavy makeup to help me. Now this lady didn't hear me all she did gave me attitude and talked over me. Smh and to top it off the manager was the same. I got my ring and signed and I left and walked around the store as I was looking around I saw I ring there and now a different lady was going to help me but the same Asian lady rudely cuts her off to help me. Then she ask me if I'm in there system told her no it's been awhile. So she told me it won't take a while so I said fine. After all that she now tells me that I'm approved for there credit card and I got pissed I told her wtf you never told me that I was signing up for a damn credit card and she was like oh well you do get your card in the mail and always cAncel it. Was so pissed so I had to walk away and the manager said oh honey do you like these rings and I told her yes but your associate need to learn that being in the system means applying for a credit card the manager response was not ok. Manager said oh I'm sorry to hear thAt. Ignores me and her associate to help out another customer. I got so fed up I walked out pissed. Went to another jewelry store found the same ring but a better price and I don't have to sign up for a credit card. Here's my advice don't go to a Kay Jewelers store especially here at the great mall. Beware with the Asian lady with heavy makeup she looks like a fucking clown with short hair and the manager Annabelle. The store has the worst customer service ever the manager doesn't give a shit if there associate either gives u an attitude or signs you up for a credit card without notifying you. And the manager will lose interest if you don't buy a jewelry she will ignore your needs and goes on with the next customer. I'm a manager at a retail place and let's be real that's not good management skills and they are not professional. I regret going here now. read more

Their staff lack professionalism and transparency about their credit card. They just want to sign you up by saying it's a member card and you'll get future emails for deals. You'll thought it's a normal email sign up until they asked for your driving license and SSN number. That was not expected from a normal member subscription. Listen to your instincts when too much sugar coating in their words. ..there's no such thing as a free lunch. And when i questioned the sales whether it was a credit card, he said it's for their financial department. I asked twice and he answered the same. Why need to be so secretive about it? Rose was very nice at first with the whole process, but unfortunately the computer for exchange was not working" or so she claims it" Rose recommended for us to purchase the ring at this location for us to take it with us, since we live really far, and then stoped by our local Kay Jewelers to do the trade in. Now, the reason for the 1 Star is because we stoped in yesterday to ask about paperwork that I did not get from her, and notice she was being very rude and sarcastic.
