They have CAD designs of the ring before they have their jewelers start designing the ring, so you have full control of how the ring looks. I made a couple of changes during this process and they were patient with me and showed me the changes on new CAD designs. After 6 weeks (they will be able to make the ring earlier but I wasn't in a rush), Isaq let me know the ring was ready for pick up. They showed me the certificate and was able to get me this beautiful box with a light in it (nice touch). I can't wait for my girlfriend to see this ring. I appreciate Javier taking the time to speak with me and offering a discounted repair. To clarify, Javier is the sales representative at your Roseville, California, location. However, I respectfully declined the offer to pay $200 toward repairs. I do not believe I should be responsible for any portion of the repair costs when the damage occurred while my ring was being handled by employees at the milpitas location. When we brought my ring into the milpitas store, a younger indian gentleman assisted us and handed it to the jeweler, whom I recall being an older gentleman. While the ring was being handled, the jeweler dropped it on the floor and stepped on it. The employee who was a lady in charge immediately took charge of the situation and reassured us that we should not worry, i believe she is part of management. She specifically advised us that, if we were no longer comfortable having the ring handled by that jeweler at the Milpitas location, we could take it to another Valliani Jewelers location to have it sent out for inspection and repair, and that the work would be handled at no charge. This was a significant and expensive purchase. My husband purchased this bridal ring set in 2019, and the ring has substantial financial and sentimental value to me and my family. We brought the ring to your store for what we understood to be a routine inspection and checkup and entrusted your employees to handle it with reasonable care. I am particularly concerned that I am now being told that the incident cannot be confirmed because it was apparently not documented in your system. The absence of an internal record does not establish that the incident did not occur. We were present when the incident happened, were reassured by your employee at the time, and were specifically told that we could have the ring serviced at another location at no charge if we were uncomfortable proceeding with the jeweler involved. Aside from that my husband was told during the time of purchase that any incident like this would be covered. I have never had to deal with this at any other jewelry shop we have bought other valuable pieces at kays and never been treated this way. It is not reasonable for the burden of an apparent lack of internal documentation to be placed on the customer, particularly where the customer relied upon statements made by your employee at the time of the incident. We entrusted Valliani Jewelers with a valuable piece of jewelry, and we expect that property to be handled with appropriate care. I hope Valliani Jewelers will take this matter seriously and resolve it fairly and professionally otherwise we are willing to take further action because we feel confident in the fact that we are being treated unfairly. My request is simply that my ring have the missing pieces replaced and restored without requiring me to pay for damage that occurred due to the carelessness while the ring was in the care of your store.
