Daniels came out from Old Republic to my home and replaced a water heater. My tenant sends me a picture of corrosion. It was installed wrong. I have been asking them and I sent a photo to please come out and correct this before it starts leaking. They wont come back out so I am hiring a tech to fix it and taking them to small claims. Here are the findings from a professional.. And I do have pictures . Based on the visible corrosion at the water heater connection, this appears to be galvanic (electrolysis) corrosion caused by direct contact between dissimilar metals (galvanized steel and stainless steel). A proper dielectric fitting or approved transition should have been installed to prevent this. The current condition shows active deterioration and should be corrected to code and manufacturer standards to prevent failure or leakage. read more

Was referred to daniels pluming thru old republic and unfortunately was let down. Received a call from Blanca to set up an appointment, to which I do give credit to that they scheduled the appointment pretty quick. Daniel came out and looked at a leaky valve under the sink. As well as our washer hot and cold water valves. he told my wife that he was going to reach out to old republic and see what he could do as far as coverage. The following day I called twice with no answer, both times left a voicemail to see what the next step was, still no answer. Called the second day, mid day and still no answer. I call old repbulic and he answers them and tells them that I changed out the valve under my sink and I didn't put it on properly. I have never done plumbing work in my life. Why would I have called a warranty if that was the case. I would have called a plumber directly to fix if it was * my mistake*. None the less, pre-haps I saved myself some headache by him not working on my things. He wasn't even professional to give me a call back with an actively leaking valve. read more

WATCH OUT!!! I strongly don't recommend this unprofessional company! Bad attitude from Blanca in the office.! They got referred to my by my home warranty company "old republic" they never answer the calls and poor communication through nonsense messages. After Daniel's initial visit to my place to look at my water heater leakage, (I wasn't home so my neighbour thankfully opened the place for him) and because I wasn't home I kept calling them afterwards multiple times to know what is the plan for the repair and they never answered my calls, instead I kept getting this nonsense msgs from the lady in the office (btw she's so rude and having a very bad attitude) She finally called me after my last msg (see the attached pic) told me over the phone why you are texting too much we don't have to call you I told her I have technical questions that the warranty company couldn't answer it. Finally they went ahead and charged the warranty company for the visit without even proceeding finishing the work. Maybe this guy has done good work before but I have been involved with repairing of small to million-dollar equipment for 30 years and I would never call him or his "office" again. Never responds, never calls back, is rude and belligerent and tried to take advantage of couple of friends because they are women and made lude creepy comments about them. I got the job done by someone else for $900.00 less than his price and within a day; after 4 days he couldn't even get his report to the insurance and couldn't care less that an elderly woman had no hot water. $550.00 for responsive service and professionalism? ***DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBING SERVICE*** First and foremost, this plumber arrived late at my house; however, that was the least of our concerns. He presents himself as a warm and trustworthy company. He isn't. He will take advantage of your situation and use it to manipulate you into completing work. Daniel was adamant that we not use the toilets or water because it would exacerbate the situation. He stated that if we call him back to complete the work, he will charge 30% more than the $2300 he is charging us. Furthermore, he asked me to sign a blank work order form (which I should not have done). He then performed the work and recorded on the work order that he had completed work he had not performed. I was present. I witnessed what he did. He charged us $2300 to investigate the main drain, which had no issues other than offsets that I photographed. "We have cleared the sewer line using various drain cleaning equipment," his work order stated. He DID NOT clear anything, for one. Two, there was an absence of VARIOUS cleaning equipment. There was a machine with a camera that went down the drain where he showed me that there was no blockage, just the offsets that he showed me. I was shocked and couldn't believe what he did when I read the work order. In retrospect, it's clear that he was manipulating the situation to get what he wanted out of us through any means necessary (including instilling  fear). We are now $2300 in debt and must take additional action. read more

This company was difficult to contact, did not come when scheduled and basically unprofessional with zero follow through. My over-all impression is they don't want to help me resolve the issue. Avoid this company.  They will talk you into services you don't need at an inflated price. Took advantage of us in a time of emergency. We had a sprinkler valve leak. Water filled up wole are around valves. I diverted the water night before. My warranty company sent Daniel's plumbing it was not covered so I went cash. I was not at home, Daniel came looked at water and told my wife she needed a leak detection to find it. Told my wife there is a leak in sprinkler supply line to sprinkler valves. Sprinkler valves weren't touched or water removed from hole. Confinvinced my wife there was no shut off valve to secure system and find leak. Option was to dig up cement run new supply 5k+. Or add a shut off valve let leak dry and fix it myself in a few weeks when I'm free. The third option was to cap sprinkler system all together. Chose to add shut off for about 500 more. The neighbors sprinkler Valles were visible he said look they don't have a shut off either.  A shut off valve with a cap closing the whole system off was installed. Option 2 amd three after video call and agreed.Then next day I saw there was a cap and shut off I called company for days getting them out to fix mistake and add a valve so system is working.  It was finally fixed to pre agreed and shutoff valve based on not having one. Weeks later when I came home. I vacuumed water out of hole by sprinkler valves, I looked left 2 ft away and there was already a shut off valve in the system. Also visible at neighbors 15 ft away. Saw there was a T that was disconnected directly under wet valve. I glued it reconnected the T. The system was now perfect with no leaks. I used glue and 10 minutes of digging directly where water was. Recommended fix was 5k, digging up cement and supply lines. So I paid over 1000$ for a leak detection (was obvious where it was) and a 500$ valve I ready had installed in system. My wife and I were talked advantage of and talked into something we had hoping we wouldn't know the difference. I have contacted company with no answer back at all won't return calls, texts, voicmails, emails. Do not use this company they will not be Profesional and take advantage of you. read more

I contacted home warranty company Old Republic and they sent Daniels Plumbing to help me with my broken hot water heater. Of course it was Christmas Eve so it too a couple days to get the authorization for the new hot water heater and Daniel came right out to replace it once he got the authorization. Blanca the secretary helped me contact Old Republic to rush the authorize for the replacement. Daniel is a true gentleman and easy to work with. Blanca is nice and very helpful! I so badly want to say something good about Daniel. He came to my house, seemed very respectful and nice, but then the more I look back, the more I see all the signs that I was being scammed. Daniel was called out for my Home Warranty company, Fidelity for a Leak at my house with my main water line that comes into the house. I had a plumber out previous who told me the leak was in my slab. And I seemed to remember that my home warranty covers leaks in the slab, so I put that plumber on hold and called my home warranty, and they sent out Daniels Plumbing. Daniel showed up, was very personable, and seemed very trustworthy. he did a leak detection and told me that there is no way my leak was in the slab, it was outside the house under the garden and someone would need to dig up the garden to find it. He even expressed that likely the previous plumber was trying to scam me and told me it was the slab in order to charge me more, and this made sense to me. He insisted that they could never have known that this was in the slab or not based on what the could have seen so far. I believed him, why shouldn't I? Well, after then finding out that the home warranty does NOT cover leaks outside the slab, I had to hire another plumber to fix this. I WOULD have hired Daniel and he would have gotten away with this, BUT he would not return my calls to give me a quote to fix it. His secretary would just tell me he would get back to me, and he never did over multiple calls and multiple days....., and since he convinced me that the previous plumber was likely trying to scam me, I didn't want to call them, so I called 2 other plumbers to get quotes. I didn't want to pre-inform them of the issue, so I just told them both, I had a leak that I needed to be repaired. Surprisingly, BOTH plumbers dug up the area and said, it is a leak in your concrete slab. So then I spent the next couple of days trying to both call Daniel and my Home warranty company to get this covered. All the time, Daniel won't call me back and the warranty company tells me that Daniel's report says it was not a leak that is IN the slab and his report "closed the case". So I again try to call Daniel to get them to fix this and re-issue a report to open it back up and I just get the run around from his secretary. After all this, I am 8-10 days from when my leak in my MAIN water line started...I have water everywhere and need it fixed and then started digging around to see that this is apparently the MO of Daniel's plumbing. I have come to realize that more likely I was scammed by Daniel's plumbing and Fidelity who seem to be in cahoots to make it out like the issue is NOT covered and then they drag it on so long and point fingers at each other, to the point where you just have to get someone else to repair the issue and then walk away from them... WHAT A SCAM! I am looking for others who may want to go in on a class action against these two companies for obviously working together to seemingly scam people. Oh, and if you are considering using Daniel's and are reading his other positive Reviews...all I have to say is notice how similar they all are...approx 85% of his positive reviews use the word "courteous". This is NOT a coincidence, most likely this is a single person tasked with boosting fake reviews or a review written by the same person sent to people to post for him. FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER!!!! I contacted my home warranty company for a leaking water heater. Daniel came out last Thurs and said it needed to be replaced and would have his office call me the next day after they received authorization. After numerous calls to my home warranty company and to Blanca (Daniel's secretary), I was finally able to get the service appointment scheduled for Monday. And, btw, I had to follow up with Blanca on Sat afternoon to find out she had scheduled the service call for Monday. Apparently, I was supposed to just know he'd arrive on Monday. Not only is Blanca inept at her job and in desperate need of customer service skills training but Daniel's prices are much higher than comparable plumbers. My neighbor had his water heater replaced 2 months ago, and he paid about $1K total. Daniel was not only receiving over $1300 from the home warranty company but he tried to upsell me $1,015 in additional 'modifications'. When we discussed a plan of action, he wanted to come back without complete explanation. First contact I had with this plumbing Company was in May 2022. I contacted Select Home Warranty (SHW). After few referral from SHW Daniel showed up, collected $75 check, looked at the stains in the ceiling below two upstairs showers and said, "Ahh, I know exactly what's going on". I am handy man and have family in plumbing heating business but this was referred through SHW so I have to put up with this. Daniel, (the owner) said I cannot fix anything until I expose the ceiling and that I needed to contact a Restoration company. He handed me a business card for a local company he had business relations with. The RESTORATION company showed up and said that the process would entail so much work and it would exceed my regular home insurance deductible of $2500. They suggested I file first claim ever. They assisted talking to adjuster and a claim was filed. They sealed the area and began working and left special machines for days collecting hours and $$$$. I attempted to reach Daniel of Daniel's Plumbing Services and he indicated that SHW denied the claim but not to worry. After further contacts with SHW they indicated that the plumbing issue is not covered as Daniel reported to them it was a missing fixture that caused leaks. Daniel again assured me that this was their interpretations of his language. So, I am now stuck with SHW not accepting responsibility and the ceiling is opened in two areas above formal Dining room and the Kitchen. The restoration company knew Daniel and intervene to get home to come in and fix the problem. After three months Daniel came one Friday afternoon in June, rushing. He stated I have to go to Home Depot get some parts and have to make it home as he promised wife to bring home dinner. He returned with shower spout and 7"copper pipe and seal tape. He cut an 18x24" drywall behind the shower and realized did not need it so he began to replace old pipe and spout form the shower. His wife called while he is trying to complete that task and nagged him about the dinner. He rushed , missed a pipe cover ring and indicated he had to go and will finish the other bathroom following Tuesday as he has to order parts. He demanded I pay him then. I asked for invoice, he promised me he will detail one so that I collect everything from the insurance company. I haded him AMEX card and asked me for another because he did not take AMEX card. NI used Apple Card and he charged $1843.46. When I complained about the amount for such a small job, he said not to worry, "I am going to replace everything in the other bathroom, and fix all your sinks, bathrooms and anything I need. The insurance will pay you back everything, I promised, he said. Tuesday passed and Daniel Plumbing did not show up the following week. I continue attempts via calls messages texts and finally after so many excuses he would not take my calls. I hired another plumber to complete the needed work. I paid to repair the drywall and paint the wall he left open. The insurance paid for the repair of the ceiling that was not necessary to open as all the repair was done from the shower area above. I filed with Apple Card and they initially reversed the charges and re charged them again as Daniel sent them photo that he completed the work and I personally paid with card and signed for it. I appealed with Apple Card and once again credit me then recharged after he sent them photo of the shower as if the shower was done- only spout was changed. I filed a complaint with California Contractor's License Board and paid a law firm to send him letter to settle the matter or I intent to pursue through the courts. Daniel sent me a text on Monday March 20,2023 that he wants to stop by and give me a check. On Saturday, March 25, 2023. We talked briefly and he handed me check for the amount he received last year on June 17, 2022. He apologized and was embarrassed somewhat but non of that should have happened if he did honest work and charged for it and received it with invoice. I POSTED THIS TO GIVE YOU SUPPORT THAT THERE ARE DISHONEST PEOPLE OUT THERE. I NOW HAVE TO WRITE TO THE CAS STATE LIC BOARD TO ADVISE THEM OF THE RESOLUTION. It cost me $2500 deduction for my insurance claim that SHW refused to pay for and Daniel collected service call $75 and I have to pay for a plumber to fix other shower's spout and the drywall and painting. I am sure the winner her is the Restoration Company, they collected form my insurance and paid referral to Plumber. It cost me over$3000, and insurance cancellation. read more

It appears we had the same issue as others. The home warranty sent this company to check out our water heater issue. They came out on a Friday and were here for no more than 2 minutes. They said they would call us by Monday to see what the water heating company said was wrong with it. However I had to eventually start calling and leaving them voicemails bc we didn't hear from them. I was finally able to get a hold of someone, and she reported the service request was completed and closed out. She reported the plumber saw no issue with water heater. The home warranty had to send out another company to come take care of the issue. It's so disappointing how unprofessional this company was.
