We stopped in after the Zoo down the street. It's a cool little quirky spot. They have sandwiches, donuts, and coffee. We ordered a turkey sandwich, potato salad and got the dog donut for our pup. Service was good! Music was a little loud so it's hard to hear your name from the window to pick up your order. The potato salad was spicy, i only had a couple bites and was done. As a gluten free gal this place is extremely disappointing. Big Bear only has two options for gluten free dining and despite there being so few options I would not recommend this spot. The gluten free donuts were old and crusty and the sandwich is $12 for gluten free bread and an egg with lunch meat. I paid $18 for food that was kinda gross and I wish I had just eaten nothing. Props to them for offering gluten free options but if you are going to offer something like this then put more effort into making it good!!! read more

This was our 2nd time here. Once before Covid & Now. Dank donuts are super tasty. Hot cocoa was delish with it being so cold. My son's & husband both had a cronut I guess somewhere between a croissant & donut with glaze they said it was tasty. I ordered my go to donut which is sprinkles it was good but a little too sweet. Came here on a late morning and unfortunately the glazed donuts were already sold out. They recommended another fan favorite but I can't remember for the life of me what flavor it was, but I do remember it was pretty dang good, which surprised me bc I'm picky for my donut flavors and don't like much besides glazed. The food my girl ordered was prepped quick and we were able to take some quick photos outside while we waited for our food. Found this place on Yelp and had to try it. My plan was to hit it for an early lunch, grab a sandwich, a pineapple fritter, hang on the patio and drink some beers and chill. Well, they were doing some fence renovations on the patio and the construction dude was grinding metal, so ruined my plans. I just got food to go. They were out of the fritter which is understandable since it was lunch time, so I opted for a blueberry cake donut. I also got the wild turkey sandwich and the Mexican potato salad. That blueberry donut was awesome! Moist and flavorful. I was impressed. I need to go earlier and try some of the others. The sandwich was also great. It didn't look like anything special, but the flavors were on point. All the ingredients worked together and it was balanced and delicious. The Mexican potato salad was good, nothing special, but good. I will go back another time when they are done with construction, so I can relax with a few beers and enjoy the music on the patio. This cool spot offers something for everyone which makes it a safe option for anyone joining me during my stay in the mountains. My boyfriend had been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally had a chance to try it when we stayed in the area for the week. These were actually some of the best donuts I've bet had. They were moist and still tasted fresh even though it was 5pm when we stopped by. There is a large space to hangout in the outside and I liked all the snowboarding/skating decor! Visited Big Bear at the end of September and Dank Donuts was by far my best food experience. We were greeted at the counter by the owner, who's cool as hell. I had a hard time choosing from all the mouthwatering options. She took the time to help me out. Expressed I had celiac disease and they were able to make the roast beef sandwich on their DELICIOUS gluten free bread. Seriously, the best sandwich I've ever had! Stopped in for some sweet treats this am before going on a little family hike. We dropped in around 9am and there were still a lot of different items to choose from. I will say all their vegan and gluten free options were all out around this time. If you're vegan or gluten free I would plan to come in before the crowds. There is street parking available (very minimal) or a small parking lot right across the street. The interior itself is very small and there is minimal seating outside. Staff was friendly and quick to take orders. We will definitely be stopping in again. My only take away was the drinks were not that great. I got a cold brew with sweet cream I would say it was a solid 2/10. I also got the iced chai which was a 4/10. Both very disappointing. read more

They don't just serve donuts but also breakfast burritos and they feature a Taco Tuesday from 4pm - 9pm. The tacos are $1.85 a piece and they serve every type of meat you can think of including asada, tinga, pastor, panza, cabeza and more. In addition to tacos, they serve quesadillas and tostadas. We purchased a breakfast burrito, cronuts, a twist, and a cake donut. Yummy, fresh and filling! The most unique product served here is they have Kombucha on tap. As a self proclaimed doughnut connoisseur I can say this place was fantastic! The doughnuts were fresh and tasted delicious even after we spent two hour trying to drive down the mountain. The blueberry doughnut was like eating a warm blueberry pie and the old fashioned was top notch - the cake had really strong flavors and the icing was the perfect pairing. I was excited to try the cronut and it was so good and flaky. But the star of the show was definitely the BLUEBERRY DONUT!
