Found this place on Yelp and had to try it. My plan was to hit it for an early lunch, grab a sandwich, a pineapple fritter, hang on the patio and drink some beers and chill. Well, they were doing some fence renovations on the patio and the construction dude was grinding metal, so ruined my plans. I just got food to go. They were out of the fritter which is understandable since it was lunch time, so I opted for a blueberry cake donut. I also got the wild turkey sandwich and the Mexican potato salad. That blueberry donut was awesome! Moist and flavorful. I was impressed. I need to go earlier and try some of the others. The sandwich was also great. It didn't look like anything special, but the flavors were on point. All the ingredients worked together and it was balanced and delicious. The Mexican potato salad was good, nothing special, but good. I will go back another time when they are done with construction, so I can relax with a few beers and enjoy the music on the patio. The name is misleading. The donuts were not so dank. They did have some gluten free and vegan donut options though. I did try a gluten free one and it wasn't bad if I had to eat gluten free then this wouldn't be a terrible option for a sweet snack. The regular donuts though the long John's etc were just ok. They were just very bread like. They didn't have that donut lightness they were thick bready donuts. My boyfriend had been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally had a chance to try it when we stayed in the area for the week. These were actually some of the best donuts I've bet had. They were moist and still tasted fresh even though it was 5pm when we stopped by. There is a large space to hangout in the outside and I liked all the snowboarding/skating decor! I was excited to try this spot when I went to big bear. I think it could have been the time of day. I arrived at 12pm on a Sunday and they were all out of inventory. Just old fashioned which I did purchase and it was delicious. The young man who ran me up was very nice. Stopped in for some sweet treats this am before going on a little family hike. We dropped in around 9am and there were still a lot of different items to choose from. I will say all their vegan and gluten free options were all out around this time. If you're vegan or gluten free I would plan to come in before the crowds. There is street parking available (very minimal) or a small parking lot right across the street. The interior itself is very small and there is minimal seating outside. Staff was friendly and quick to take orders. We will definitely be stopping in again. My only take away was the drinks were not that great. I got a cold brew with sweet cream I would say it was a solid 2/10. I also got the iced chai which was a 4/10. Both very disappointing. read more

As a self proclaimed doughnut connoisseur I can say this place was fantastic! The doughnuts were fresh and tasted delicious even after we spent two hour trying to drive down the mountain. The blueberry doughnut was like eating a warm blueberry pie and the old fashioned was top notch - the cake had really strong flavors and the icing was the perfect pairing. What a cute place! I'm so glad I heard about it, it's adorable and has a ton of great, unique donuts to choose from. My boyfriend and I got a dozen to share for the weekend. I was excited to try the cronut and it was so good and flaky. But the star of the show was definitely the BLUEBERRY DONUT! MMM, I love Dank Donuts! I always make it a point to stop by here any time I'm in town with my family and friends. Their donuts are always served fresh and if you want, they'll even warm them up a bit more for you when you take them to go. The tacos are $1.85 a piece and they serve every type of meat you can think of including asada, tinga, pastor, panza, cabeza and more. In addition to tacos, they serve quesadillas and tostadas. Took my wifey and my niece to dank and they both loved it. Donuts were fresh, decent sized and filling. There was a family there before we got there in the patio eating era and a young boy walked up to my niece and gave her 2 quarters to use on the ride they have outside their shop.
