The day before my trip up the mountain yesterday I researched Yelp for a different place to get an early bite before getting on the first chair at Snow Summit. I've been to all the regular breakfast spots in Big Bear. They all leave me feeling like I just ate a bunch of poor quality carbs and the service is usually not good. I read the reviews for Dank Donuts and loved what I read. Everything was so covered in white yesterday that I passed right by without seeing the sign. I ended up calling Dank from Moonridge coffee which is almost next door. I actually went into Moonridge coffee thinking maybe this will be better than Dank so let's see. I went in and checked the menu and it was all so overpriced for anything I'd consider getting. The bakery goods were in short supply and I guessed were not fresh. Not only that but for the 2 minutes I was inside I never saw an employee. I walked out front and called Dank. The gentleman told me I was almost next door and to look for the bright green part of their building. I can't believe I missed it, must have been all the snow. I got a breakfast burrito, coffee and cinnamon roll. The burrito was good. Not huge, but well priced for what it was. It came with salsa which was nice. The coffee was good. They make a sweet cream which I tried and liked. Didn't need any sugar in my coffee which I liked. The cinnamon roll was good. I like that they bake and don't fry their donuts. I really wanted to try some other donuts because they looked so good. The fritters were huge and looked amazing! The owner Robert was super cool. He gave me advice on where to go on the mountain to find the freshest snow. Happy to say that his advice was on point just like his Dank establishment. Looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in Big Bear! read more

It was not great. They hyped up this place way too much. I got the pineapple fritter which didn't really didn't taste like pineapple it just tasted like a hard glazed regular doughnut. I tried their famous blueberry doughnut and it was very basic. We also ordered the croissant the jalapeño cheese and I think there only jalapeños I seen was the jalapeño slice they put on top of the croissant. read more

My wife found this place and it is great. It opens earlier than most coffee places and the food is amazing. I had the maple long john it was done well. The coffee had great flavor as well. I think the best item was the cronut! read more

We came during happy hour and all their donuts were super cheap & still tasted amazing and fresh we hope to come back next time we are in big bear! The bigger donuts are huge! This is our go-to place whenever we are at Big Bear. The staff are super nice and the donut are ah-mazing. Plus I just love the name! They also sell a few non-donut meals that are tasty; we had the vegetarian spicy thai wrap and the orange chicken and rice bowl. Ya know when you are in a cute town and you stop for food, but since it's the only one around, you make due even if it is just okay? THIS IS NOT THAT. Staff was very friendly, donuts were *on point*. I had the pepperoni pizza croissant and I am still sad I didn't get one to go. It was buttery and tasty. Have them warm it up, swoon. The blueberry donut was my 2nd favorite! Good flavors over all and not a dry donut in the house! 100% going to try to stop in for happy hour (beer, wine, donuts? Everyone wins). Came in after snowboarding to get some hot chocolates for the drive home and was very disappointed. Paid almost $15 for 4 small hot chocolates MADE WITH WATER!!! WTF!!! Who uses water??? For the amount of money you're charging you could at least use milk and a decent brand of hot cocoa, not some generic packet... mixed with water. SERIOUSLY, you can get a way better tasting, quality, and bigger cup of hot chocolate at the gas station for less money. And the donuts were merely decent. read more

Sister and I love this place. We initially stumbled upon it during our trip to Big Bear last summer. I've since returned to big bear 3 more times in the last year and we always make it a point to visit at least once. Their blueberry cake donut is our favorite and even tastes great the next day. My family and friends also love their cronuts! Prices are moderate and reasonable considering the small town environment. Really good donuts! I got a few for the family and even though they are expensive they were really good quality. All donuts are individual prices, they don't sell by the dozen. The stand out was the blueberry donut, it didn't taste artificial like most I've tried. Some of my favorite vegan donuts are by the coast and in Los Angeles so as a local when I heard there was a donut shop that had vegan donuts on the mountain I had to come support and let me tell you these donuts can definitely compete with some of my favorite vegan donut shops they are so good! Crisp on the outside soft on the inside I usually add my own jam in the middle and I am still in hopes that one day they will offer a vegan jelly stuffed donut :D but as always any place on the mountain that actually offers a good vegan option especially vegan junk food has a loyal customer with me ! Recently stayed in Big Bear and my kids & I visited Dank Donuts as we were just staying in a cabin down the street. It was a Sunday morning around 7:45am and there was a line out the door with what I can guess we're mostly locals. The line moved fast and we got in pretty quick. I like the layout as it was pretty quick to get your order hit the register & boom on your way! I have never come across such a tasty creative donut. I ordered a Neopolitan witch is chocolate/vanilla cream filled with house made strawberry icing! So so good! Also heard about the blueberry donut and that also was pretty awesome. I definitely will make this a destination when i come up to BB. read more

I found this place during my 5 day stay in Moonridge. I visited this place on their 2nd day of business without even knowing. These Doughnuts are DELICIOUS! I tried glaze donuts, ham and cheese croissant, cinnamon rolls, twist donuts and the list goes on... I visited this place 5 times during my trip and twice today (11/20/18). I wanted to try their Ramen soup so bad but they had just sold out. My last option was the Orange Chicken & Rice, it was so tasty and delicious! They also offer a daily happy hour between 4-5 pm. I would prefer to tell all our visitors coming up the hill to skip this wonderful donut shop and please; please do not come to taco Tuesday's for the best street tacos around (the lines are already long for locals!) The service is remarkable and all the food I've tried (and I've tried almost all of it) is great! So if your driving up Moonridge and see a line at this little gem, keep on driving.
