This place was A M A Z I N G!!! Staff was on point and attentive, decor was entertaining. At the table they had a deck of cards which kept kids entertained. Food: salads were fresh, fresh shredded cheese and it came with a tasty garlic roll. Deep dish pizza: the small could have fed an ARMY. I had it with green olives (which were huge and freshly chopped) and pepperoni which was on the thicker side :) Husband had Lebowski sandwich which looked interesting and he said it was tasty (pickles,mustard, ground beef, bbq sauce, French fries and baked beans) Menu was extensive and they had something for everyone!!! read more

Start your meal off with their breadsticks and make sure that you are hungry! Three of us also shared a large pizza. It's a cross between New York thin style but the actual crust part is pretty thick. It pretty good pizza. They also have deep dish, big sandwiches and pasta. I was a bit flabbergasted that the glass of sangria I had was 8$!!!!! There were no prices on the menu so that was a bit of a shocker when the bill came. There can be a wait so be prepared. Out of towner staying at Kalahari resorts, and didn't want "national chain food". My family of four (9 &10 yr old) loved this place!! Carb-loaded menu is spot-on and made everyone feel good when we left. Added bonus with the wooden tic-tax-toe at the entrance, and a deck of cards on every table to play. read more

My husband liked the Soprano sub he got, I had a Woogie. It was ok, also had the cucumber and tomato salad with a breadstick and it was very good. Not much of a basil fan so I could deal without that but the champagne dressing was delicious. read more

Great food and great atmosphere. Unfortunately for about 4-5 years of traveling out this way I assumed it to be a pizza place so I always drove by. Today I had their traditional spaghetti with meat marinara sauce and a meatball. I tried what I always try my first time at a new Italian restaurant. I figure that if they get the simplest Italian meal right then they get it. These guys get it. I am a huge Sinatra fan and their decor pays great respect to the best there ever was. A good glass of Cabernet would of made it even better except that I was on my lunch. I will be back soon. read more

This is the second time we have been in Sandusky in the past few months, and we made Danny Boys a stop on trip both times. We found this restaurant by accident the first time. We were driving by and decided to stop. So glad we did. Both times we sat at the bar to eat. We love the bar because it is very intimate with a great TV to watch- especially when there is a big game on. The Sangria is unbelievable. I get a carafe each time. My favorite is their Chicago style pizza. It is amazing. I am sure the other pizza is as well, but I have to stay with what I love :) Every dish that I have seen come out looks amazing as well. Good pizza, pretty good beer selection. We stopped in here before heading to a show in town and had a couple of pizzas and salads. Pretty standard overall, with particularly good flavor on the Clevelander Pizza (basically a thin crust pepperoni). The deep dish Chicago pizza was a little less flavorful but still better than most. It seems to be a challenge to have enough flavor to overcome all of that crust and I haven't found many outside of Chicago that pull it off. Service was good but they were obviously pretty swamped with a VERY large party in the next room. We had a main waitress but then had several other people check on us and bring the food throughout. The only downside to this was that we needed to rush to make the show and had a little trouble connecting with the main waitress for the check. I ended up taking it up to the two hostesses at the front and they looked at me like I had two heads when I asked them to run a credit card. We maybe should have made it more clear that we were on a strict time schedule when we arrived but it was a strange end to an otherwise good meal. read more

Breadsticks are fluffy doughy goodness. Service was excellent and food came out quick and steaming hot. Regular pizza crust was garlicky and delicious. We try and stop here every chance we get when we come to Sandusky! Definitely worth to stop on the way to Cedar Point. read more

We went to Danny's Boys both nights of our stay in Sandusky this past weekend. I had the Cobb Salad the first night...nice fresh, crisp greens, good veggies and nice turkey and ham. Also came with 2 of their delicious bread sticks. The 2nd night I had the Vito Corleone Melt Woogie which was really good! Great atmosphere, staff and lots of different choices on the menu to suit different tastes. Do yourself a favor and visit Danny Boys the next time you are in Sandusky...you won't be disappointed! read more

Great food, recommend by Best Western Plus, Sandusky. We were there for baseball tournament with our grandson. Enjoyed spaghetti with meat sauce. Chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta another item at our table. Very large servings, I would have done better with half portion. , "bread stix" fantastic, golden brown, light and fluffy. This is literally 2 minutes from Kalahari, where we were staying. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend who had been there the weekend before we decided to try it. The waitress that seated us was very cheery and nice. We were there for late lunch and they were not busy, which was nice. Our waitress was very knowledgeable with suggestions. She recommended the breadsticks and the meatballs off the appetizer menu (we got both). She told us that they were both hand made in house. She brought the breadsticks out first which by themselves would have been enough for our family of four, because they were huge! And the sauce they came with was wonderful. Then she brought out the meatballs (which come 3 to an order). The dish they came out on was bigger than the breadsticks. They were smothered in chunky yummy tomato sauce and tons of cheese, they came with seasoned pita bread triangles around the edge of the bowl too. The meatballs were large enough we cut them in halves and shared - it's making my mouth water just thinking about them. My husband ordered the Jimmy Whispers sub, that had ham, salami, cheese and other items, it also came with their chips. He said it was really good. My son got the Rocky Balboa (meatball) sub, which he enjoyed, but couldn't even eat half of it - and it came with chips also. My daughter got the small chicken parmesan - and it was a good thing, because she still brought half of it home. Their tomato sauce was delicious. And I got the 1/2 Silvio Angel hair pasta. It had a creamy tomato sauce over angel hair pasta with grilled chicken, fresh mushrooms and spinach. OMG!!! I do believe it's the best pasta I've ever had! Absolutely everything was out of this world delicious - I can't wait to go back. It would be worth the almost 2 hour drive! Seriously!!!! read more

Great find in the tourist area near Cedar Point if you want something that does not fell like a franchise. My wife tried the Bosses' Woogie, which is a scrumptious personal canzone. I got the Joey's pizza; a very nice thin crust pizza. My family and I played Go Fish over some amazing garlic bread white we waited for our food. read more

Being just 3 mins from the water park, expectations werent very high. However, our experience was fantastic. Wonderful italian comfort food came quickly and was delicious. Wait staff was incredibly nice and quick. Free breadsticks that come with a bottle of wine are heavenly. Only problem was having to pick one thing off the menu. We left with about 5 lbs of food!
