Amazing pizza!! I cannot wait to check out more menu items! We stopped in here on a weekday early evening. I ordered the antipasto which was as so impressively fresh! I'm really picky about salad greens being fresh and Dan's did not disappoint! We also ordered the pizza with eggplant and sausage. Apparently that particular pizza used to come with sliced sausage and now has crumbled sausage. I'd like to see it the former way personally but it was still very good! Our drinks were great! I really like the layout of this place with separate rooms and a fun vibe in the bar area! I noticed a signature drink menu but we only ordered regular jack n' coke. Friendly and fast service. Hostess seated us quickly. I asked our waitress Gabrielle her opinion on two items, and I wasn't disappointed by her recommendation. I chose the chicken triple jalapeño sandwich, it sounds like there's a lot of jalapeño action, but the flavor is excellent without being overpowered by the heat of the peppers. I would highly recommend this sandwich if you're looking for something a little different than a buff chicken sandwich. Dans is a modern, very clean and popular with the bikers type place. We were visiting Rhode Island and I am glad we found this place. This place is a gem. There is lots of parking space. The staff is super polite and courteous. We ordered mozzarella sticks, garlic parmesan wings, and veggie delight and 4 cheese pizza. Sticks were a bit over fried but they tasted good. The pizza was one of the best pizzas I ever had. First of all you have to consider where you're at in the state. It's West Greenwich! Not much in the area so this place is like a lit up oasis in the middle of a desert. They have a decent menu with nightly specials. The main room in the "restaurant" is the bar area with approximately 16 seats at the bar and high tops and some tables dotting the walls. And 2 more dining rooms. Place is always busy, the bar area is quite loud and you'll need to really lean in or shout to talk to you dining companions. They do have the drinking crowd and frequent by bikers. Victory Highway is a favorite road to ride their iron horses. Food is decent and they have good days and bad days. I've had experienced both good and bad. But all in all if you live in the area it's good . If you've traveled just to dine here you may get disappointment. read more

Dan's Place, if you're ever in West Greenwich, is THE place. I say that because it is one of four places to get food in that area (the others being Dunkin, Popeye's, and Arcadia Pizza). So in a small handful of locations to choose from, Dan's Place is refreshing because of it's expansive menu, commitment to friendly service, and barn aesthetic. Does any one particular food item stand out? For the most part, no. There's a lot of plug and play in the restaurant, with a focus on a large pizza menu and a large burger/sandwich menu. There are plenty of other options, for sure, but pizza and burgers each take up a large portion of it, likely because it is easy to put different toppings on and change the experience entirely. That all being said, I do not come here for the pizza. Actually, after moving to Warwick, I had not physically been to Dan's Place for two years. Upon return, I remembered exactly why I loved the place. Their menu may be large, but there are plenty on gems in this large, beautifully built barn. Three items stand out for me in particular: Their Poutine, the Triple Jalapeño Burger, and the Country/Chicken Fried Steak. Poutine is the ultimate indulgence. Fresh, crispy fries smothered in a light colored gravy and gooey cheese curds? The dish practically sells itself. The Triple Jalapeño Burger is especially a treat, because it packs in a lot of jalapeño flavor while going very light on the heat. The bacon, the cheese, and the fresh jalapeño work together for a robust, layered flavor experience. I think they may have also switched to brioche buns, whose toasted structure really adds some integrity to the boisterous burger. And Chicken Fried Steak is... well... Chicken Fried Steak. Perfectly crispy and smothered in gravy. Much like the poutine, it's not a hard sell. Dan's Place shines in an area where there aren't too many restaurants, but I'm sure it would shine if it were lifted and placed in another town. And right off the highway (exit 5), it's incredibly accessible. read more

Went here starving and mouth watering! Menu looks fantastic! I love all the l selections and variety. I got a hand packed cheeseburger well done and ate it on their back patio (covid rules). Ended up being a tiny burger and tons of bun so every bite I was guessing if there was going to burger in it. The burger part was very good, hand packed texture and taste reminded me of a Five Guys burger without all the grease. I'll go back and try again as they were very friendly and busy with lots of pickups when I went, so it is popular. Parking is good, back patio is nice and there's a BMX bike course next to it which had kids racing and cool to watch. Good for kids, looks very clean in and out. I'll give it another try and update my opinion later. Lastly, I think the cost for the burger was a bit heavy for what you get. Other prices a little over the place down the street. read more

Went to have a night out with my babe and decided on Dans place for loaded nachos and a couple drinks. Ordered some specialty mixed drinks that were available at the time and sounded really tasty, they were not. Blah . Loaded nachos came out in a bowl that's right in a bowl and not just a shallow bowl to hold them in from falling out a serious bowl which was strange because it wasn't like a bowl that your going to get a huge quantity but a large cereal bowl. They looked like someone had vomited the mess into the bowl and it was all on top and nothing but bare and soggy chips the rest of the way down to the bottom where there was about an inch of dirty brown trash water. I was a little disappointed after reading the reviews. I ordered poutine and it was super blah and the cheese was solidified which made it tough to enjoy. My husband said the fish tacos were good, but my cod Reuben was super greasy and hard to enjoy. Lastly, they tried to charge us for extra ketchup when the tiny to go cup they gave us was definitely not enough and we asked for more, c'mon, it's ketchup...you know the condiment that restaurants have on their tables for free. read more

So this is out near Big John Leydan's Christmas Tree Farm as well as URI Alton Jones Campus, it's right off of the highway and ultimately has a menu chock full of classics you would find at a Chelo's or Gregg's. It's great for kids as they have a kids menu and items come with a drink and ice cream. My little one got chicken tenders with a side salad. I got a Caprese salad and the Bourbon chicken tenders, I liked the Caprese (mixed greens, basil, tomato and mozzarella) but the drizzle of balsamic reduction was minimal and that was it for dressing. I would have liked more along with a drizzle of EVOO but I was starving and just ate it as is. The Bourbon sauce tasted on the burnt aide - again, super hungry just ate it. My husband got a huge chicken Caesar which he said was good as well as the boneless Thai chicken which was good as well. I would only come here if in the area and will likely get something else next to me - I hear that their pizza is good. read more

I had to force my parents to come here. They are stuck in their ways and like to go to the same two restaurants in the area. After a shouting match, they agreed to come. While we were waiting for our drinks a magician came to the table and did some table side magic! During our first round, the appetizers were incredible. I had the poutine and as a French Canadian wannabe- I APPROVE. The food was delivered promptly and each bite my parents took they couldn't stop talking about how great the food was.
