Over the weekend, I had visited many dealerships in MD looking to buy a used gs350, and had a horrible experience with Len Stoler Lexus in Owings Mills. They really brought down the Lexus name and I was beginning to doubt the highly acclaimed Lexus experience everyone raved about. I'm happy to say that my visit to Lexus of Silver Spring has completely flipped my opinion. I had an awesome experience at Lexus of Silver Spring. They do used cars how it should be done. And by that I mean, they do not try to scam customers or get away with hiding things. Drew, the salesman, and Tony, the used car manager, was very respectful. They quickly realized we were serious car buyers trying to make a move, and after the initial offer, Tony invited us into his office for an open and candid negotiation. Tony was very kind and friendly and the man really has integrity. After settling on the price, Sally took care of us in finance. I came in with a very competitive rate and Sally was able to slightly beat the rate, so I went with it. I'm telling all my friends/family that if you want a Lexus, you need to go to Lexus of Silver Spring, I just had the best used car experience in my life! read more

James Kim is my service rep and Wanda Cockrell is the Director. Both delivered on answering questions and providing exceptional service. Lastly I really felt important and cared about when the door greater Romaine made sure I wasn't standing around waiting to be helped. I leased my Lexus CT200h from Lexus of Silver Spring (November, 2012). The reason I chose them in the first place was because they were very responsive to my questions over e-mail before I went to the dealership and offered me a good deal. However, when I finally went there to handle the paperwork, the experience was far from good. After making me wait for over one hour to see her, I received no attention whatsoever from my salesperson, who was clearly dealing with multiple clients at the same time (although I had an appointment scheduled with her). I was given very little information about what was happening and what she was doing with the paperwork. At times, she would just leave her desk to talk to other people for 40-50 minutes and kept me waiting for no good reason. When I told them I was bothered by that, they apologized but kept ignoring me. After the initial problems, their financing department was also backed up and took hours to process my paperwork. Also, I had requested a specific color (Dark Gray), which I was told would be available at the time -- it wasn't. I had to wait four days to be able to get my car and was asked to re-execute all the paperwork, since they had messed up the VIN numbers on my contract (an error I detected, not them). They also had added protections and warranties I did not ask for (also, something I detected). While I believe those erros were made in good faith, this shows that they are not very organized and on top of things. Right now, I am still waiting to receive my definitive license plates. I was told by the salesperson that they would be ready in 3-4 weeks, but it's been almost two months and they are not ready. When I followed up, I was told they were waiting for me to send a copy of my driver's license. Again, another miscommunication -- at the time I signed the paperwork, I was not told they could only process the license plates after I obtained a local driver's license (not sure if this information is correct, but I got one anyway, after moving from NY to VA). The bottom line for me is: people there try to be nice when they finally sit in front of you, but they are disorganized and this is not acceptable. When the client in sitting in front of you for a sale, you need to give him his full attention and make him feel like you care about his purchase. It's not everyday you go out to get a new car and this is a Lexus (a "luxury" brand that charges a premium for that). I think they are lucky because the product itself is great. I love my new car and would definitely think of buying another Lexus in the future, only not at this dealership. The dealer is aware of my complaints (which I made on the spot while buying the car) and I also called Lexus' headquarters. I think it's not okay to receive this kind of service at this price point and under this brand. read more

Absolutely horrendous Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!! I bought my pre-owned Acura MDX on July 25, 2018. I paid for the car outright and seemed somewhat like a seemless buy. I understood that the car is an Acura and the dealership is specifically for Lexus. I test drove the car as well, and the car seemed to be in emmaculate condition. I was happy with the deal and with the buy. I drove the car home to VA that day, and the car sat with the engine off for about 15 minutes, and when I went to start the car back up the battery was dead. I had to jump the car and get it to my mechanic right away. The mechanic said the car is in great shape , but the battery was completely dead. They replaced the battery and did a once over on the car. After this, I called the pre-owned sales manager Billy Karagirogis and explained I understood that the car sat on their lot for a about a month and half and that the battery charge was lost due to sitting. I explained that I had my mechanic replace the battery to which Mr. Karagiorgis stated that they (the delaership) would pay for the parts and labor that I was charged for the replacement of the battery. All I had to do was to send him an email with the invoice of the work and price charged. I did this immediately, and even a second email because he said the first one he couldn't read the numbers on the attached picture of the invoice. After I sent the second email with a clearer picture I never heard back or even received a confirmation email that he received it or that the attachement was good and that he'll get the ball rolling on submitting it from his side for reimbursement. Weeks go buy and nothing heard or no reimbursement check in my mailbox (Mr. Karagiorgis stated if the receipt for reimbursement is submitted the payemnt would be sent out within two weeks.) I called both my sales person, Mr. Godfrey Ukwandu as well, but never received a call back. I also found during this time that they transposed my name wrong on the selling papers. They had my Drivers license right in from of them and STILL they put my middle name as my first name and my first name as my middle name. With all the papers I had to sign away and information it was lost on me to check that that was right. Regardless, issue #2. The third issue which is probably related to the second issue is that the hard tags for my car has yet to be obtained as of today on 09/04/2018. My temp tags expire on 09/17/2018. I've called the dealership numerous times. Ive talked with Mr. Karagiorgis and General Manager Trevor Warwick only one time. Both gave me the assuarnace that these issues would be rectified and to email them with the invoice on the battery, and that they would look into seeing about my permanent tags. Over two months and I have yet to have any of these issues resolved, nor have I ever recieved a confirmation email from either manager that what I sent them was being handled or even a simple courteous " Thank you.." acknowledging the email I sent them. I've talked with their customer relations department (apparently thats their corporate offices..Highly doubt that) and still repeating myself and I get the same empty comments. "Oh ok well, let me find someone to talk to and get back with you." NOTHING, no response. So ultimately if i receive my title for the car it'll be in the wrong name, the tags on my car will expire and if i get pulled over by the police I'll more than likely get a ticket for expired registration/tags (more money spent) and my battery that needed to be replaced has yet to be reimbursed. This Dealership's customer service/ aftercare/ responsiveness are horrendous. They obviously only think that business and good business practice is to take your money and forget about any customer issues once the car has left their lot. The people I have dealt with are absolutely the epitome of why people can't stand car delaers and delaerships. My sales person Godfrey , the used sales manager Billy Karagiorgis and General Manager Trevor Warwick have been absolutely no help, and non responsive to any of the issues brought forth. This dealership does not deserve the high marks its received and I'm sorry I ever dealt with them. Stay away from this place and the people named. read more

Completely unimpressive service (far from "Elite" as they claim they are). Very unprofessional accounting department. You don't feel good after paying a ton of money for a brand new Lexus, and then subsequently being treated plain rude when you inquire about the check they owe you because they made an accounting mistake to begin with. I think they still owe me some money, but I've just given up on it. Will never return to this dealership again. Just purchased--Lexus Silver Spring, MD--my first Lexus. I should be happy, right!?! NOT!!! We decided on the 2019 ES 350 with Panoramic Moon Roof, Blind-Spot Monitoring, and a few other options. However, we did not feel the need to purchase the Heads Up display or the Mark-Levinson Audio Package, after all, Lexus is a "Luxury" brand and as such, the stock audio package, we incorrectly presumed, would certainly deliver a sound commensurate with our now retired 2008 Toyota Sienna mini-van, or my stock 2015 Chevy Tahoe...right? Well, actually, NO! The stock audio/sound system in the 2019 Lexus ES350 is the worst audio I ever owned!! One would think that Lexus, being the luxury brand--they love to tell you they're a luxury brand and tout their excellent customer service--would, as a bottom line, include a basic sound system that actually sounds good. Such is not the case--listen for yourself. Admittedly, we did not test the sound system before buying the car. However, we did not perform compression checks on the cylinders either--because when you're purchasing a Lexus, it is thought, that you're purchasing luxury through-and-through, including, yes, the audio system. Problem: When you use the fader to increase the sound coming from the back--vs the too prominent front--speakers, the quality and volume from the back diminish greatly. And, although the salesman and service manager both agreed with us that the audio system indeed "...sounds like ****!" they did nothing for us except to inform Lexus of our discontent. Indeed the car was only three days old when they picked it up from our house to test for amplifier problems, only to discover that ALL the 2019 Lexus ES350s on their lot "...sound like ****!!" I told them WE DID NOT want a car with such an inferior sound/audio system. They agreed!!--terrible sound system. They too could not understand why Lexus would put their name on such a sub-standard audio product. The sales manager laid out our options: $5,000 more for a different, upgraded car, with the Mark-Levinson Audio Package (and Heads Up display and a few cameras) or keep the car with a terrible audio system. Huh? Held hostage, we buckled and laid out another $5,000 lest we be stuck with an inferior audio/sound system the dealer even admits, "...sounds terrible!!" We feel we were swindled by Lexus and taken advantage of by the dealer. Instead of paying FULL retail on the "upgrade," we should have been given SOME discount on the upgraded vehicle. But NO!! Instead of $5,000 for a audio system that actually sounds good, perhaps they could have charged us a little less, say $2,000 or so. After all, we did not want the Heads Up display or any of the cameras that come with the "better" (read:standard on ALL other luxury cars) audio system!! We just wanted an average audio/sound system!! All and all, $52,500 vs the original $47,500. WTW??? Buyer beware!! If this is how Lexus and Lexus dealers treat their customers, my first Lexus will likely be my last Lexus. read more

If you are in the market for a Lexus please do yourself a favor and look no further. I spent 2 frustrating weeks with the Lexus dealers in Chantilly and Alexandria. They refuse to do business over the phone or by internet. Isn't that what your internet department is supposed to do? They also have this attitude where they don't need or want to make a deal. In the end, their pricing was not competitive. Dealing with the Silver Spring office was in complete contrast to the Virginia dealers. Moe and Alex were wonderful. They were soooo accommodating and courteous...everything you expect from a luxury dealer. They even offered to drop the car off at my house if they didn't have the color I was looking for. And the best part...you can't beat their pricing. Really. The day I went to sign the paperwork, they wanted to know what time I was getting there because they wanted to have my car cleaned and fully gassed before I got there to save me time. Go to the Lexus of Silver Spring dealership and talk to Alex or Moe in the internet department. Tell them Zeeye raved about them. read more

I bought a car on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from Lexus of Silver Spring. Can I just say that the manager Chris, our salesman Bayo and our finance person Diji were phenomenal! I'm an African American woman and the stereotype of dealerships trying to scam women proved to be true! My auto purchase quest in the DMV was met with inflated APR's (though I have excellent credit and was approved for a low APR through Capital One and my credit union) pushy sales people with unethical, conman attitudes. I didn't experience that at Lexus of Silver Spring. I don't know about anyone else at this dealership, but Bayo, Chris and Diji communicated clearly, gave me a great APR and provided premium service. These guys are great and exemplify gold standards in car sales. This will now be my first place to go when looking for a car. I hope Lexus does all they can to keep them! read more

Im honestly really surprised that people have had problems with this location. Kian was the service porter that helped me put on my tags. Grated it did take them a few minutes to find someone to help me, but I didn't mind to much since it was pretty busy at the time. Kian was super helpful and it only took him a few minutes to put on my tags. I got a complimentary car wash after and with-in 30 mins I was on my way. The reason I didn't give this location a five stars is because when I first asked how long it would it would take for the cleaning I was told it would only take 15-20 minutes. It did take a bit longer but once again I did go at a busy time. I just wish they would have better communication. read more

I brought my Lexus in for several recalls to be repaired. Scheduling, loaner car and estimated time of repair went smoothly. But....I was told my rear calipers (part of the braking system) were seized. .. meaning frozen and would not move. They strongly recommended they be replaced immediately along with the rotors and brake pads. My car was not safe to drive. I didn't authorize the work instead drove my car to another car shop for a second opinion. At the second shop, I was told and shown how my brakes were not seized. Bought used Lexus 2 months ago. Transferred tags from trade in to new car. Received notice of suspension from MVA due to dealership's failure to file paperwork with MVA. Called dealer on Monday, 7/29/19 to resolve problem. Several transfers, placed on hold, advised they couldn't do anything about problem in any expedited way, promised a call back from manager. As of 8/1/19, no call back. Tags still suspended. Very angry customer. Will file suit if I am charged for driving on suspended tags. Tried calling people I spoke to on Monday, every line went to voicemail, left messages, still no call back. read more

I recently bought a new Lexus SUV from this dealership. The first time I washed it I found numerous scratches on the roof that could not be seen from the ground. The sales person attempted to help and had the service department try to repair the damage to the roof. When they returned the vehicle to me there were still small scratches to the paint and damage to the chrome roof rails remained. When I spoke to the sales manager about the issue he was rude and unwilling to come to a resolution. I placed a call to the General Manager which was never returned. The sales manager Billy Karagiorgis made this a very excellent experience. After sales I had a few concerns. Overtime he responded immediately and made it possible to alleviate those concerns as soon as possible. I live a distance from the dealership and it is not convenient for me to bring the car in or to stop in for follow up paperwork, etc. He worked very hard to accommodate my schedule and even picked up the car for minor detailing/body work we had agreed upon during the sale. There were some administrative hiccups that he immediately responded to and I felt "taken care of". Customer service has become extremely important to me and is something I have not found in many dealerships. I will be purchasing all of my future cars through Billy Karagiorgis. My Husband bought a car from here. The buying experience was not bad, but the customer service that we experienced afterwards was terrible. My husband requested that a repair be made to the car and the manager went into a room and ranted about it (he didn't think that we could hear him). My wife and I bought a certified used Lexus ES 350 2 weeks ago. There was way more haggling with the Sales Manager than necessary. However in the end we got a nice deal. A small dent was found in the car after closing the deal but to their credit, it was repaired promptly and I got a loaner car in the interim. The car is running very nicely and we are happy with it. Our salesman , Ulric , went way beyond what was necessary to follow up with us afterward to make sure everything was taken care of. Five stars to him. read more

The service center is absolutely terrible. I brought my 2004 RX330 for a simple oil change. After their inspection of my vehicle they found that my DRL lights were off. Service representative could not explain me right away which one exactly are off, since i told them that they were all fine before i drove in to their service center. After showing them picture of my car with all rear DRL on just the day before this service, they told me that is normal for DRl lights to die. (Both of them at the same time). Seems like they do everything to get your money. I spent way too much time with them, when i only wanted simple oil change. read more

I leased a 2012 Ct200h from Lexus of Silver Spring and it was by far the best car buying experience of my life. Chris (sales) was very helpful in person, over the phone and via email. Often times when you go into a dealership they try to "up sell" you on a model with expensive options and pressure you into buying a car that day. Neither of those things happened here. I only drove the more expensive (technology package) after requesting it and "up sold" myself on it. I contacted several dealers in my search for an RC-F, and in many aspects my experience at Silver Spring Lexus was exemplary. First of all, they had this unusual muscle car in stock and in the color I wanted. My sales associate was Ling Wu and found him to be very quick to understand the type of car I wanted. He offered me a test drive and I was subsequently able to take the car home for a four day extended test drive. This was most unusual to me and none of my work colleagues had ever experienced this before. The car did not disapoint, and I decided to purchase it. I had time to do some research online for a good asking price, and to my surprise, it was accepted. The price was about $13k off the MSRP. After taking the car home and driving it around for a few more days, I found a scar on the front passenger side rim. Since I did not point out this issue before taking delivery, I was not sure what Ling's response would be, but after consulting with the manager, I was pleased to learn that they would cover the cost of the repair on this rim (and other minor blemishes on the others). The repair job that was done on the rim is amazing as I am unable to find the spokes that had this scar. This despite the fact that it appeared a small chunk of metal was missing prior to the repair. During the repair process of my rim Christine from service kept me informed about the status of my vehicle. They gave me a nice loaner to drive and took their time to repair my rims (3 days). 12/15/19 I had a trade in and purchased another used car. We agreed to have the license plates transferred. Proper paper work was not filed with the MVA (bill of sale of the trade in was never filed and new plates were ordered) which resulted in the MVA suspending the plates and claiming that I was in insurance violation (this happened in the end of February). I received a large fine in the mail. I contacted Darcars Lexus of Silver Sping and explained what I had been told by MVA and what steps they need to do to correct the issue. Has not been corrected yet! MULTIPLE times and over last few days I have left voice mails and sent emails to client relations manager and general managers- no response yet! read more
