I brought my husband's car in last week for service, and Andris arranged for it to be detailed (worth every penny - very good job getting all the kid crumbs out!). After I picked it up, I drove off before noticing that my husband's beloved car magnets had been removed. I panicked and came back the next day to see if they had turned up anywhere (after checking glove compartment, door pockets etc. for them). She promised to check and get back to me. After an exhaustive search and asking all of her team, she offered me a service credit which was more than triple the value of the lost magnets. She really went above and beyond! My salesperson, Mohamed, and his manager Juan went above and beyond in meeting my requests. They were generous in their negotiations and gave me an excellent price and terms. Chris the finance guy was straightforward and efficient. He told us that he wasn't going to haggle and drag things out--he would find terms that made us happy and get us on our way as quickly as possible. I did not feel pressured or uncomfortable at all throughout the entire visit. My wife, who is a hawk about buying stuff, was very satisfied with the experience. Overall, these guys were outstanding. I literally had the worst buying experience ever. I am bi-coastal and I made the specific request that I wanted to register my car in California. The finance manager, Dong Kim, did not make me privy to the fact that to register my car in California that I would have to take my car to California to pass a smog emissions, which had to be done before the temporary tags on the new car expired. So now I'm in this very bad position where I have a new car that I can't register and Dong Kim and the sales agent, Isacc are not responding to my e-mails or calls. I am up against a tight deadline and no one from the dealership is helping me and I have already returned once to speak to the Sales Manager and still nothing has been done. At this moment, I just want someone at the dealership to help me finish registering my car, as my temporary tags expire. To these ends, I believe the customer service has been horrible. Was there mid June for 165k mile service and to look at my ac which wasn't working. Given a quote of $7,900 to repair/replace my ac. Salesperson told me my car was only worth $3k and kept asking me what color I wanted---because I'm a woman I don't know anything about cars???? I left; I got the ac repaired for less than $3k; Lexus customer service person called me as I was walking in my house from the other auto shop; told her about my experience; she said she would have management call me---guess what? I am extremely unhappy with their service. The car came to their dealership because of a coolant leak. They wrote up a bunch of oil leaks, which the car did not have. $4,200 worth (front seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets). I used to be a fully certified auto mechanic, so I would know if it was leaking oil. I always look under the car for leaks. That's how I knew it had a coolant leak. I thought it might be the water pump, that's why I had it towed to the dealership. They said they pressure tested it and there were no coolant leaks. They said I overfilled the coolant overflow jug, which I probably did. A week after it leaves the dealership: The coolant jug was completely empty, and the radiator coolant level was about one inch low. So, there is a coolant leak somewhere. I think it's probably the radiator. The car has 157,000 miles on it, so they thought it was ripe for writing up a big estimate. They should have really concentrated on the problem at hand, and not try to cash in on things that weren't wrong. The place is ALL about the money. I will never take my car there again, or buy another car from them. Added on 12/17/14 at 2:54 pm. No thanks. I can get a RX300 radiator shipped from Amazon for $112. I think I'll just replace the radiator and go from there. So, I paid $145 for you to tell me I need to spend an additional $4,200. Another thing that is very strange: Our transmission went out on 12/7/14. Just a couple of weeks after it was in your dealership. It makes me wonder if somebody at the dealership did something to the transmission out of spite, since we didn't go for the $4,200 worth of repairs. I can't prove it, but it does make one wonder. I don't want anything else to do with your dealership. I'm an honest person who is willing to pay for honest work. Sometimes people try and be greedy and slick, but it ends up backfiring on them. read more

It took 20 minutes for the service rep to get off the phone and take my keys. I stood there, and stood there, and he kept gabbing away. No pause, to take my keys and get a serviceman. Lexus = perfection ... right. I want to like this place because $45 for an oil change and car wash at the dealership is a good deal. But it is NOT a good deal when you're killing waiting, waiting, and waiting to get out of there. About 5 years ago I went to Lexus of Silver Spring and got the same treatment. It took about 2 hours. I was hoping for a change, I did not get it. Lexus should have much higher standards. One last thing, fix the big hole above the TV in your wait room. You're supposed to be the best car brand going, fix the hole. I'm not going back. Neither should you. read more

Just bought a new 2016 ES, but not happy with the purchase price and service given by this location. Did not do much homework at shopping for the new car but stopped by this dealership since it is close by. I spent a few hours there just agreed a price that given by their manager which I later found out it is higher than an upfront true car price given by Lexus of Owings Mills. Should have contacted true car and really let it search for the dealers. I blame myself not to do the homework, but spent a bit more $$. I was planning to finance the car, the rate stated 0.99% on the website, but finance manager told me that deal is gone. (If we looked at the website, I think it is ongoing deal.) I cannot be bothered whether it is a lie or not. Fine, I paid off the car without financing. I changed my mind not to buy the service package on the second day after I purchased this car. Then stopped by this dealership, finance manager was not there, I cannot get refund. Fine, I checked with the sales, she helped me wrote an email to the finance manager try to arrange an appointment. No words from him. During the week, I wrote several letters and left a few message, no one reply. Finally, I stopped by the same week on Thursday, and found the finance manager and told I would like to cancel my package. He said ok, but it would take 3 weeks to do so. What to say, a simple refund will take 3 weeks and I have already paid off the car. I guess I have to wait until November to get the money back for holiday use. I have also asked why I did not receive any reply via emails or phone call; (this is the basic respect to the customer, correct me if I am wrong). He told he was too busy for the past days working and no time to get to me. I hate to write, but I just wrote this to let people be aware. Sales rep was great however the financing department was horrific. My bill of sale did not match my finance document, I spent 2 hours with the finance rep, they left out negotiated options. To top it all off, they sent me three revised fiance documents in which each one was different as they tried to increase my negotiated monthly payment as well as the price of the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle on 12/17/2011 and the experience was not resolved until 1/18/12, completely ruined my Christmas. I finally got a bill on 1/20/12 in which it said my payment was due on 1/16/12 and if not paid by the 26th it would be reflected on my credit report. I guess no one will believe that I have purchased a new ES350 from DARSCARS of Silver Spring end of August, 2017 and up to today, Dec 29, 2017, I still have my temporary TAG! I have made numerous calls to inquire about my new tag, and their famous lines were " I will call you back! " and of course no one EVER called back, I even went to the showroom 3 weeks ago, was then told that they messed up with my tag registration, and transferred the old tag to my new car, which I didnt request. I was promised that everything is fixed and I should get my new tag in 2 weeks, and now it has been 3 weeks already, still trying to call them with no one talked to me. I CANNOT believe this is how DARSCAR does their business! I have been very patient, but 4 months has passed, and I am still chasing them down about my tag. This is just unacceptable and ridiculous! I hope potential buyer will consider to buy their car somewhere else! (Sorry, I was forced to give one star in order to post THIS !) Took our 2004 Lexus ES in for 120K mile check. We were told that there we needed a valve cover gasket because of an oli leak, cost $985. We were also told that there was a coolent leak and we needed to replace the thermostat, cost $865. They also said we needed new windshield wipers, $26. The representative kept refering to a "belly pan" when he talked about the coolent leak. The only belly pan I had heard of was something to protect the bottom of the car so I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. After some discussion he said they would drop the price for both from $1280 with a coupon he had to $910 for both. This didn't seem right to me. We told them not to do the work and we picked up the car. Two days later we took the car to Hilmuth Automotive in Columbia MD. They checked out the car. We told them what the Lexus dealer had said. They told us it would cost $75 to do the check. They called us back after about three hours. They didn't find an oil leak or a coolant leak. They did change the windshield wipers. Total cost was a little over $100. Lexus did wash the car, vacumn the inside and the price for the 120K mile checkup was what they told us it would be. Thats why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 star. Needless to say I was disappointed with the Lexus service. read more

What a disappointment. I went to the previously owned section of the dealership to check out a 2011 Mercedes E63 with 20k mile. I originally inquired about a week prior and was unsure if I wanted to make the trip out. I live a sold hr away. A few days later I received a call from the dealership asking me to come in have the VIP experience. So I made the Appointment. I arrive, and find the car filthy, outside not washed, the interior with trash and receipts on the floor and in the truck more trash and wrapping bows. Apparently someone used the car over the New years weekend, and just trashed it. In addition the car was on fumes, I mean NO GAS, I could only drive about a block because I was afraid I would run out of gas. The car was not represented well, the salesman stated it was mint, the front wheels had curb rash and the rear of the car was hit! What a waste of time. read more
