I had such a great experience at Dardano's. I have a very hard time finding shoes (women's 11 wide & broken) and have frankly lost faith in most shoe stores stocking anything that fits me. However, Dardano's really broke the mold and I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience! I drove an hour to go to this 1 store and it was well worth it! I set up a free appointment with their Pedorthist Matt and he was amazing! Matt helped me find off the shelf (not custom) inserts to help with my broken foot. Then he helped me chose shoes that fit my style and foot health needs! Also I was really impressed how many shoes the store stocked in my size! And then best of all, Matt was able to tweak the shoes by adding padding here and there to make them the best fit possible! My only complaint is that 1 hour with Matt was not enough, but I was shopping for every style a girl needs! Overall the best shoe experience to date, I highly recommend Dardano's and Matt for all those hard to fit feet out there! read more

I brought in two of my daughter's suede purses (Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff) for cleaning - $83 later, the purses appear not to have been cleaned at all. We were so disappointed, but they said that 'suede is hard to clean', so I guess they didn't bother. They may be a great shoe store, but I wouldn't recommended them for repairs read more

Before discovering Dardano's Shoes, I was not really the type of person to spend money on shoes (mostly just shopped at Target). However, I have been coming back for more than a decade and keep finding cuter and more comfortable shoes every time I come back! Whether it has been a pair of Frye boots, Brooks running shoes for half marathons, Sorel snow boots or OluKai sandals, I have been so happy with every shoe I have purchased. While the shoes are awesome, it has been the customer service that keeps me as a repeat customer. When I was pregnant, one of their employees spent over an hour helping me find the right shoes that would fit my feet and provide me with the support I needed to teach all day. I would've never found this level of customer service somewhere else on a busy Saturday afternoon. In addition to their shoe selection and customer service, their shoe repair is extraordinary. I placed an order the week before Christmas around 3:30pm EST. I received an email confirming the purchase and within 9 minutes from that email I received another letting me know that the item was on it's way. WOW!!! That was fast!! The item made it across country in 2 days and I would have received it before 12/25 if the carrier would have moved a little faster. Very good and FAST service. I would highly recommend them. I was in the store picking up a pair of shoes that had work done on them and was about to pay when I was taken aside and accused of having shoplifted an item when I had brought in the shoes for repair. They told me the alarms went off when I left the store and that I was "running" out the door, when in fact I was leaving the store with a purse I had purchased from Dardano's a few months before. I have reported them to the BBB as this is totally unacceptable. Where was the proof, inventory loss, video cameras-there was nothing. To be accused of shoplifting is humiliating and I will never do business here again. read more

This is a quality food wear store so expect to pay as such. If you're not in the market to spend $120 or greater for shoes you should go elsewhere. That said, I've been there twice now. Once for dress shoes and once for winter boots. The selection is great, but again be prepared to spend some money. And the cost is worth it as the footwear is of great quality that I can go years without replacing any of the two pair of shoes I purchased. The customer service is great, it's a real shoe store where people help you and the shoes are in the back and they have to get them. Just like when I grew up. Now a days you go buy shoes in a normal store there is no back room, you're stuck with what's ever in front of you and there's rarely any help. The staff members personally work with you to ensure the shoes you buy are what you will be happy with. I still have my pair of dress shoes I bought 3 years ago and I just went in to buy boots and am very happy with the purchase. I've bought shoes elsewhere where I just wanted some cheap shoes and I've gotten what I've paid for. They don't last and I replace them often. The staff listens to what you want and guide you accordingly. I haven't taken advantage of the free shoe shines but I should, nor have I taken anything there for repair but I would if necessary. If you're on your feet a lot and want quality footwear and a good experience in purchase, this should be your first stop. read more

We have been going to Dardano's for years, biting the bullet when we want a shoe that is stylish, fits, and lasts. Even on sale, you spend a lot, but all of those shoes we wear for years. And get a second life out of with their repair service. However, last week we arrived with a new challenge. Our young adult son has autism and cerebral palsy, resulting in a pronated gait exacerbated by a high instep and arch. He's a tough one to fit for shoes, because of his weird feet and 100% impatience with/sensitivity to being messed with. We decided to give their free service a try and came in to meet with Kim, one of their pedorthists. She was so smart and so kind. She addressed him directly and respectfully though he is non-verbal. She modeled what she wanted him to do so she could assess his needs, even though he wasn't very compliant. She was flexible and persisted. And persisted. She is among the top lay people to EVER work with our son. He walked out in a new pair of shoes that clearly feel good - after not wanting to go in, he didn't want to leave. Our heads and feet have appreciated Dardano's inventory and the staff's professionalism; Kim won our hearts last week. Thank you. read more

It's really frustrating when you read all these positive reviews about a store and you have completely the opposite experience. Twice. I've been into this store twice this year and both times I was not acknowledged by any of the employees working. The first time it didn't bother me because I really was just looking. My most recent time I was completely ignored. No one greeted me or even looked at me. I am starting to think I suddenly turn into a ghost when I walk into that store. I really wanted to have a good experience today because I really wanted to have a couple of new pairs of shoes from the store. I felt as if the manager on duty had no idea what was happening on his sales floor. People who were coming in after me were being helped pretty much right away while I was left wandering. I love to support local businesses but I'd just assume order online if that's what I have to deal with. I don't enjoy making a special trip somewhere and being totally ignored. Oh well, my money was spent in another location where I ended up buying shoes that I had looked at while in Dardano's. I also received GREAT service. I won't make the same mistake of expecting the same experience everyone else has had. I'll just go on my own track record with horrible service provided from this place. Don't make the mistake of going anywhere else, like I did. I made the mistake of going to Foot Solutions, which yielded a fourty-five minute wait in a room with two other customers. I appreciate attention to detail and had no problem waiting because I was sure my questions would be answered. The questions, however, were not answered. I was only offered a brochure to read to better understand the throbbing pain in my right foot. Disgruntled, I made a speedy trip to Dardano's. The young guy helping me knew exactly what my problem was, without the help of a manual. We talked about my symptoms and tried on a variety of shoes. I had a brand new pair of great boots. At a party, a friend dropped their drink and splashed all over my boots. I moved back and scuffed them on the face of a stair. About a 1" scuff. I wanted them fixed right so I took them here. I told them I wanted them to be cleaned and polished with one scuff repair. I was late for a dinner party when I picked them up and unfortunately didn't look at them. When I went to wear them, I opened up the plastic packaging and found that there was no effort to clean them, the drink splatters were still all there! The scuff had a repair that I could have easily done at home. They only put one layer of polish on the repair and didn't even polish or clean the rest of the boot that had the repair!! Very disappointed. Their location is somewhat far from where I live, but I had hoped I found a great quality repair location. They seem to have great product for sale, but I wouldn't depend on them for a repair. read more

Dardano's has been around many years and if you haven't been there you are missing the true experience of having an expert fit you. I haven't had this type of service since I was much younger. Cole was a most professional and knowledgeable salesperson who had the perfect approach to helping find shoes that would work for me and those that wouldn't. He never seemed to tire of bringing out shoe after shoe which made me feel pampered. Although I was at the store for well over an hour, I left feeling energized and aware of what would be best for me. The entire store is pleasing to the eye, comfortable, and filled with such a variety of styles, brands, and prices that women and men will find something that suites them. I've read some of the "less than stellar" reviews of Dardano's, and all I can say is that that was not my experience in the least. I came in to buy a pair of shoelaces, but started looking around... A sales associate by the name of Kim started answering my questions. (She later told me she had taken more than 1,000 hours of training.) I ended up trying on at least 6-7 pairs of shoes the first day, but told her that I was going to go check out another store. She was very pleasant about that, and we even discussed the alternatives. In the end, I came back the next day and bought a pair of Mephisto's -- a very expensive investment for me!! But, thanks to Kim, I had an incredible fit, from a knowledgeable, friendly and experienced sales person. I'll go back. read more

I have repeatedly attempted to purchase shoes for my feet that continue to cause me pain and discomfort for years. On Monday, Jan 11, 2021 I set out on a mission to locate a pair of shoes I can wear that do not cause me pain. We walked into Dardanos Shoes and Jessica Arbar approached us inquiring how she can help. She listened to my frustrations and made numerous suggestions. She probably spent a good hour with us attempting to locate a pair of shoes that worked for my needs. Not only did we find one pair but five pair and every pair is comfortable and fits well. I am in shock to have finally found someone that found the perfect shoes for me. I have 2 pair Olukai. Dansko, Vionics and Aetrex. It was an education and on how different shoes and styles fit for different people. I could not be happier with my experience. Good customer service until you have a problem with your purchase. With as much as the shoes cost they should last more than two years. I have over 200 pair of shoes (meaning I like to spend money on shoes and I don't often wear the same pair two days in a row). The store manager wouldn't even offer me a discount on a new pair. I have purchased several pairs of shoes from Dardano's, but no more. The Store Manage was foolish!!!! I will purchase my shoes elsewhere in the future. read more

Well the salesman was very helpful when I was looking for a great pair of work shoes. After wearing them for a couple weeks a coworker pointed out to me there was a noticeable uneven seam on the left shoe. I went into the store and spoke to a different salesman and he was unwilling to exchange them for another exact pair. He said Dansko wouldn't give them credit for the since they were not falling apart so I was stuck them. I will NEVER spend my hard earned money there again! Generally had good experience with Dardano's. Recently purchased pair of Timberland work boots; leather tore 2" gash in toe when impacted by hard surface within first week. Dardano's said Timberland wouldn't replace & all they could do is patch the boot. I guess expensive workboots aren't worth the extra money anymore. read more

Just had a little repair done on one shoe, a small lace loop had to be re-attached. It took 3 stitches, 4 days and $10. Slow service and high prices, great combination. I buy all my shoes here for work. Comfortable shoes for a top heavy woman in her feet all day. I once bought a pair of Danskos from them that were too small and 5 months later they exchanged them for a pair that fit for the amount I paid when I bought them. My father had an appointment with Matt, the onsite Pedorthist, and he came up with numerous ways to improve my father's gait, balance, and comfort. Matt made adaptations so my father could put his shoes on independently. This was not an easy task given my father's knee and hip replacements and arthritic fingers. I can not say enough good things about Matt. I think he is brilliant, creative, committed, kind and caring. Dardano's has a great selection of good, quality shoes, but their service is non-existent! This was my first time at the store, and I was quite impressed with their selection and amount of shoes. However, I didn't get acknowledged once during my 45 minutes I spent in the store--no nod, smile, or eye contact. Finally, after making my selections, I asked for some help and the first salesperson just walked by me like I was invisible. The next person I asked told me they'd find someone for me, so I waited about 10 minutes and no one showed up. The store wasn't busy and had moderate traffic, about 15 people in the store, and I counted 6 salespeople. I'm not sure what the problem was. I will never return to the store, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Recently switched jobs where I work on my feet a lot more and Dardanos came highly recommended to find a good pair of shoes that will help my feet. I knew what I was looking for from internet research, just wanted to try them on for size and feel. Sales girl got them for me and these things were hard as a rock. Apparently that's what they are suppose to be? I asked her if they were suppose to be "cushy" and she said they are. I said well to me they feel like bricks. She asked if I could tell her where I was getting pain I said not really its the entire foot. She said "ok then" and walked away, she never pressed me for more details nor did she offer any alternatives to the shoe I originally came in for. In fact, I started nosing around other display shelves feeling different shoe insoles etc and she just put these two shoes back in the box and I never saw her again. No where even close to trying to help me. Could have tried on other pairs of shoes or discussed orthotics or suggested shoes specific if I could narrow the pain, but nothing from her. Took my Red Wing boots in to Dardano's to be resoled, because their price for the work was $20 less than doing it thru a Red Wing store. When the boots came back I was not happy with the workmanship. The outer sole is supposed to be cleanly attached with a nice seamless look all the way around the edge of the sole. This was not the case- the work looked sloppy. I had them do the work a 2nd time. When the boots came back they looked a little better, but still not as good as resoling work I have had thru Red Wing. To their credit, Dardano's did not charge me for the do-over, but I will be taking my Red Wings back to the Red Wing store the next time I need new outsoles. read more
