We noticed how beautiful the bar, coffee area and back market are- such a lovely place to dine. Our server was so friendly and prompt. He had lots of recommendations- He brought us a basket of warm toasty pita bread and flavorful herbaceous oil. So so satisfying. I also ordered hummus and feta dip and it was so so delicious. We also split the chicken pesto pizza-flatbread. It was so filling, flavorful and fantastically made. Great place- lots of options and great variety. This is a fun Mediterranean spot to eat in the vibrant Legacy West side of Plano. You can park for free in one of the huge parking lots along Dallas North Tollway. Plan to take a short stroll at night in this area (new restaurants, luxury shops, and busy Legacy Food Hall) Darna Eatery has welcoming staff that are patient with explaining their menu and entrees to first-timers. We tasted a few items off their menu and enjoyed each one. Couple Notable Dishes: 1) mushroom hummus is amazingly light, creamy, and topped with pomegranate seeds for texture/color/acidity. 2) If you are snacking with friends who are new to Mediterranean food, start with their popular Darna Mezza Platter which features eggplant, red bell pepper, hummus, feta for dipping into pita bread. (We asked for additional pita and flatbread resembling scallion pancakes. 3) Chicken Kabobs were really tender and delicious 4) Mussels were good 5) Pasta was okay 6) Assorted Mediterranean pastries with pistachios - Many people were sharing pastries with their coffee and tea. We tried the Darna sampler and chicken kebabs as well as the Turkish coffee and pistachio latte. I felt the pistachio latte could be better. The food took a while to come out. I've been here four times for happy hour or drinks, which is obviously a good sign. The happy hour value for drinks is pretty good - $6 for an apricot or lavender martini. However, the happy hour value for food is not as great (one of the options is just 2 sliders for $10 or something similar), and it's a better choice to order off of the actual menu at that point. For food, I've had the muhammara and zalouk both of which are very flavorful and a great finger food option to have with drinks. Muhammara is more on the sweeter and creamier side with the zalouk has more tang. The amount of bread the dips come with is typically not enough, so we often order more, even when it is a group of 2 or 3. Great ambiance inside for all types of groups, including families with older kids or grabbing drinks after work. Could probably even have a date night here if you don't want a super formal atmosphere. Service is usually friendly and fast. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The place is super charming, both the patio but specially inside. They also have like a market place inside. The service was very attentive, prompt, and multilingual, not only Spanish but my Turkish friend could communicate with the waitress very well. The food was amazing, very tasty and good portioned, it tasted very authentic. The prices are a bit high when compared with other Mediterranean places, but it's because of the area you are in. My favorite was the cheese cake. I can't remember the name, but it looked and tasted amazing! This place is fantastic. Everything I have tried has been a flavor bomb. It is a beautiful restaurant in Legacy. I had the sampler and I felt it was as close to a shaya meal (in new Orleans) as I've ever had. Their lamb ragu hummus was also fantastic. There are many things on the menu I want to try. They also have a good selection of wine and cocktails. The only thing that didn't seem fresh was the Italian cake and the only reason I'm not giving it a 5. I feel like this restaurant is excellent and the amount of food is a great value for the price. I always have to get a to go box! This restaurant is an amazing addition to Legacy. This was my first time at Darna. The ambiance is really nice. Instagram worthy . I ordered the mezzo platter and it came with 4 dips, pickled veggies and some pita bread. It was probably the best tasting spread of dips I have had so far among all the Mediterranean places I have tried in the last few years of living in DFW. I then ordered veggie kebab for the main course. I was hoping for actual kebabs made out of veggies but all we got was bunch of vegetables that were grilled with a skewer. The rice that came with it was very flavorful though. Veggie kebab was very pricy for just grilled veggies (around $22) Moroccan Mint tea was good but again pricy. We weren't sure who our server was, since we had 3 different people come up to our table. We started with appetizers and these were the only things we enjoyed from our meal. I have to give this place some love, I have been here a couple of times and in both instances the service and the ambiance has propelled the 4 to a 5 The food is good too, I'm usually here at lunch time, so for now I can only speak for their lunch menu. But I feel that for Legacy West, and the nice environment, the prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and presentation is well thought out. Definitely try the turkey stack for lunch, or one of their flat breads. The lunch platter is also good, although I think it should come with some pita bread, since it has hummus. The design of the place is excellent for some IG posts. Our server today was extra friendly and the manager came by and complemented some dessert for our group, that was icing on the cake. Such a delicious lunch today with my daughter on their patio. Our server was Grant and he provided wonderful service. We had the Moroccan drip and the Chai tea latte, both amazing. Moroccan drip was perfectly Toasted beans and easy to drink, I added some whole milk. The chai tea latte was delicious too, perfectly sweetened and nice foam on top, my daughter loved it too. Daughter ordered the lentil soup, it was really good, she munched her way through and we took the rest home. It was on the salter side but texture was perfect. I got the greek salad as recommended by our server Grant, it was really refreshing and I loved the chunks of veggies and the ingredients in the salad. This also was a bit salty, but was bearable, I would probably order with the dressing on the side next time. I walked in to check out the inside and was pleasantly surprised to see all the options they have. The ambience inside and outside is gorgeous, clean, bright well organized and so many options for families. Lots of seating space throughout as well. Very bad management of Carlos. He couldn't managed the situation at all. The owner needs to know that we drove from Dallas to have a small birthday celebration on Sunday at 6:10. All place was available he didn't give the one more table, he forced another table that we didn't want at all. He lost 5 people today which we loved place and food. We will never come back. The atmosphere is great. Although,service is slow and yes prices are way too high. I gave 4 stars because the Moroccan Tea was not good just boiled water and a tea bag with a piece of mint, and the rice is not true Middle Eastern rice, more like uncle bens $1.00 rice from Walmart, not true basmatie saffron rice. The rice with yellow food coloring was a no no. The drinks are great. The kanafeh cheesecake was yummy. I would come back here for drinks and appetizers. This place is packed when I walked in and luckily I secured the last open table inside coz we don't want to seat at patio in 90 degrees. We shared baked cauliflower with turmeric and yogurt sauce which is a staple of Mediterranean food. It's very flavorful and has great texture when you bite into crispy skin and nice sweet flesh of cauliflower. Hummus with grilled beef is surprisingly tasty. I enjoyed it way more than my main harrisa chicken dish. The roast chicken was a little plain and it eventually became my dog's dinner. My friend enjoyed their beef kabobs and lamb. Overall we like the appetizers a lot more than the main dishes but we loved the service and will go back to try other items and grab some groceries. read more

I have to start by saying our waitress was great! We were a large party with a handful of kids. After initially getting there we realized we needed to add extra seats to our original reservation and she did it right away. No complaints or attitude. We had a birthday we were celebrating and she was very subtle in coordinating when we wanted the cake to come out. The food was ok. The kabob's were good. I had the chicken and it was juicy, not dry. The dipping sauces are absolutely amazing and I wanted to bottle them all. I had the Mediterranean salad that had grilled veggies in it. The salad could use some bulk in the form of lettuce of some kind. The grilled vegetables were so thinly sliced that you couldn't really taste them and it disintegrated in the mix of everything. The Greek salad comes with a large slice of feta which isn't really conducive to eating a salad. It also had a ton of bell peppers that could have been dices instead of sliced. Our server was attentive and knew the menu superbly. We started with a Lebanese Mule and a Lavender Martini. My boyfriend's mule was crisp and sweet, while my martini was perfectly balanced - floral and a tad bitter. I love lavender flavored foods and drinks, so I was a huge fan. Went with friends to this wonderful Restaurant / Market in the Legacy West area. The place was packed. The menu here was fairly typical of Turkish / Middle Eastern restaurants. The Hummus with Lamb Raghu and the Muhammara were both standouts as appetizers. Service was good and they kept bringing out the bread and pita ! Tried the lamb sausage pizza which was excellent. A slice is plenty for one person. We also had the Iskander Kebab at our table and it was nicely done. Dinner was topped of with a dessert platter - Baklava and other sweet pastries. Tried the cheesecake and it came out encrusted with Pistachios and some of the baklava syrup drizzled over it. Very unusual and tasty!
