One of my favorite places to eat. The chicken shish kabob never disappoints. The chicken is tender and juicy. I usually ask for half darya salad and white rice. I recently went to dine in and I can't express enough the extra measures they are taking to keep their customers safe during the pandemic. They swapped to paper menus, they disinfect every chair after the party leaves, they change the table cloth, and have carefully packaged the utensils. I ordered food here to go chicken was not cooked right and the bread they gave was stale. I called and they were nice and said they will give me credit for next time i order $70 so when I called them a few months later to reorder the manager get on the phone tells me why do I have a credit on my account I explained to him what had happened last time then he told me that that was to much I told him this was offered by you guys he said he was willing to take care of 1 plate for me. here is what I told him go ahead Invite your own family to your place and use my credit sounds like you needs it also place does that to there customers I would never eat here again because if a manager is being cheap to make customers happy good luck to everyone that eats here won't surprise me if they use old stuff and leftovers bread and sides This place has the worst management worst customer service read more

The front of the restaurant/reception area maybe the owner or manager (no idea) is NOT friendly. Doesn't greet you or care you are there. Anyway, let's talk about the food. Their Koobideh (chicken or beef) are super tasty and juicy. The free bread is not the typical lavash it's similar to focciaa it's so yummy with the hummus and or baba ganoush. The rice too is even more fluffier and I think they use real saffron bcos some restaurants I swear just use food coloring! Idk maybe bcos we're Asian?? With regard to the response (riddled with falsehoods) by the restaurant to my original review: -If Shabnam had taken the orders of a table with a party that had arrived long after us while either of us were in the restroom, that is understandable. But that simply was not the case- we had visited the restrooms immediately upon entering, and were seated while she was taking their orders. She had seen us seated for a while and chose (either purposefully or by mistake) to ignore us. -I understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic and that many restaurants are offering menus via QR code. What I take issue with is that, if paper menus are not given to diners upon entering, then diners should be told that the menu could be accessed via QR code. We had to figure this out on our own after spotting a place card on ANOTHER table while we were waiting an inordinate amount of time for our waitress to greet us. Also, I find it amusing that this restaurant provides menus via QR code as a response to the pandemic yet has a waitress who frequently removes her mask whenever she is at the register. Per current guidelines, all restaurant employees are required to wear masks while on shift, so I will be reporting what we saw to the appropriate health authority. -As my original review states, Shabnam had NOT explained to us that the side of Fesenjon does not come with chicken. There's no mention of this on the menu either. It wasn't until AFTER it arrived that she (very rudely) explained that to us. And the chicken IS cooked in the stew; a quick google search of the dish would show you countless recipes where they are cooked together; Persian restaurants cook it the same way, and yours seems to be the exception rather than the norm. I shouldn't have to school you on how to properly cook Fesenjon. -Telling a diner that "you already ordered what you ordered, you can't make any changes" prior to even letting them ask a question about the menu IS rude and inept. If Shabnam feels that she was being transparent and had successfully clarified menu items and prices for us then there is clearly a problem with the way she does her job. -With regard to the last paragraph of your response- either you or Amir are willingly lying about the conversation we had with him prior to leaving the restaurant. We had asked for a manager, to which he responded, verbatim, "we don't have a manager here...this restaurant has 8 owners and you can't contact any of them". We then alluded to him that that does not make sense for a restaurant that hosts banquet events to not have a manager and to supposedly have eight owners whom no diner can contact (in other words, letting him know that we are aware that he is lying). Nothing was written down, and no supposed "banquet rooms" were shown. Either he was hallucinating at the time of our conversation, or he's a wonderful storyteller. The fact that this restaurant is unwilling to take responsibility for horrible service and instead makes excuses and twists the facts to change the narrative of events is indicative of a larger issue that lies with management, staffing, and training. I regret not taking the other reviews about unprofessional service seriously prior to coming here, and I really hope that Darya Restaurant Orange truly takes the time to rectify these issues with their staff for the sake of future diners who make the unfortunate decision to dine there. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service at this place has slowing been going down. I waited over 20 minutes for someone to come to and take my order for food, no body came and I finally walked up and left. Once I got up the hostess at the front asked why I was leaving, I explained the situation and she said she would take my order, too late I said and I walked out. Our family celebrated my sister's birthday on Saturday April 6, 2019. We had dinner reservations for 15 guests. We preferred 8:00 pm, however the restaurant insisted 7:00 pm since they closed at 10:00 pm. What restaurant that offers LIVE belly dancing entertainment and closes at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night? So here's the horrible experience we encountered: 1) We arrived on time, belly dancer started dancing 2) After several requests, we hadn't received bread or water. One employee's exact shocking words were "Ask your Waiter" 3) I started dancing with the belly dancer and gave her a tip, sat down and was scolded by the employee to sit down and behave. Who the hell is she to tell me how to act or behave in public? This is America and this restaurant sets women's rights back! Wow. I spoke to the manager and the receptionist acted like she's foreign and doesn't understand that women rights are human rights! 4) Our meals were delayed and delivered cold 5) Half of our party walked out due to poor treatment 6) The restaurant apologized for their one specific employee who triggered a storm of fights and provided us with complimentary desserts. We've always passed by this place many times commuting and one time we deciding to come in and we were pleased to finally enter. They offer great dishes with great portions to boot. My affair with mediterranean food is on and off, and right now it's on. We started off with bread and hummus, which is a must. HumMUST get, if you know what I mean. Keeping you filled until the main dish. We then got the dinner plates that come with the chicken and steak skewers. There's just a ton of food. you have like 7-10 pieces of chicken and steak each. It's all over a bed of rice, which is just as nice. The steaks were tender cubed and the chicken was nice and juicy. I have been to this location multiple times and once to the location in LA. There is ample parking and we usually make a reservation just in case. Darya isn't just a place to grab dinner but a complete dining experience including live performers on Friday and Saturday nights. My partner and I love to come here for date night and enjoy listening to the live music or watching the belly dancers. We usually order the Darya #2 combination platter which is the perfect amount of food for the two of us to share. The combination platters are reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get and tastes even better with a nice bottle of wine! Our server checked in on us multiple times and gave us great recommendations. Warm, delicious bread and butter is also served with the meal so we always leave feeling extremely full and happy.
