I've been getting builder gel manis at DD for almost a year now and feel so lucky to have found this spot! Everyone is super nice, Lana is incredibly talented and gentle with my nails and helped me find the right kind of manicure for my nail type and lifestyle (now my nails last beautifully even though I put them through hell with bike repairs, pottery class, weightlifting, you name it). Clean, friendly, and they do incredible work. I truly can't recommend this place enough.

Lana does it again! she's truly so skilled, and precise when it comes to acrylic sets, I'm always so happy with my nails. Amazing quality, every time!

I went in yesterday to have a gel set removed and a full acrylic set put on as a little treat for myself & i am very happy with how the nails turned out! I brought an image of what I wanted and the team worked together to make my dreams come true! Michelle was lovely to chat with as she removed my original nails and put on the acrylics. Very thankful! The whole time X factor greatest hits was playing which is a fun vibe to watch or listen to while relaxing

BEST IN PORTLAND! I've had acrylic nails for over a decade. Without question, this salon is the very best at what they do. Best pedicure I've had, consistently beautiful acrylic nails, and I can always get an appointment the same day I call. Do yourself a favor and go to Dashing Diva Nails!

This is an updated review for this place. I came here yesterday and was choosing out which color I wanted. Every time I come here I always get regular polish for a pedicure and gel for a manicure. Every time I say I want regular polish, I get pushed to get shellac. Each time I say no the nails techs start talking amongst each other and laugh maliciously and press me again to get shellac. Yesterday was by far the worst experience, I kept getting pressured then laughed at when I said no and then pressured again. They always try to up sell me and don't seem to take no for an answer. This has always been a thing here. Yesterday, since the salon was empty, I had two people working with me. One doing my pedicure and the other doing my manicure at the same time. While I had my feet in the wash bowl the nail tech doing my manicure started pointing at my feet, looked at me, then started talking to the other nail tech and started laughing. I felt incredibly uncomfortable I almost got up and left but couldn't since the service already started. Granted I should've left regardless but didn't. My level of discomfort was very high and I think one of the nail techs realized this because she kept asking me if I was ok. I sincerely wanted to leave because of how uncomfortable they made me feel. I do not suggest coming to this place. They will talk poorly about you to your face and take advantage that you don't understand the language. I see this happen with other customers all the time here, not just me. I will never be coming here again.

Service was impeccable! Came here for a mani and pedi with some girlfriends and I would totally recommend it. There's a small parking lot so that was a bonus.

My bf surprised me with a pedicure date at dashing divas nails! I desperately needed one and it felt so good. The salon is clean and doesn't smell too strongly of acetone (but it does a little bit). I felt pressured to get the deluxe pedicure (#2) vs the regular by the employees, but it was a good idea since that one included callus removal and more massage. The pedicure was nice- I got the standard soak, gel removal, callus removal, lotion, hot towel and hot stone massage all while enjoying the massage chair. The shaping and grooming of my toenails and feet was fabulous and they still feel so soft! The hot towel was left on for awhile after it got cold, but otherwise everything felt great and I think my nails looked GREAT! Very festive for Halloween. The salon is definitely pricey. For my pedicure, nail polish removal and buying a new file I think was close to $60, so I think there are probably cheaper places! This is a convenient location though especially if you tan right next door.

Was really disappoint with the attitude the staff. Their communication was rude and curt. Once the pedicure was done they wanted me to walk across the shop bar foot to a sit at the drying station. I refused to walk barefoot so they gave me hand towels to shuffle across the room on but were not happy with me for asking. My niece got an acrylic set. There was acrylic up her fingers that was not cleaned up well. She was having to scape it off. I would not suggest going and I won't be back. Their are plenty of other options in the area. When spending $160 for two pedicure and a full set, I expected a better experience and quality.

I've been going to dashing diva nails for years now and I'm always extremely happy with their work. This is the latest full set I've gotten and I feel like 1 million bucks! The service is always so great and I feel very welcome while I'm there. Thank you so much for my nails! I'll see you soon!

Eeeesh. My bestie and I wanted to get our nails done but didn't want to go somewhere as a walk-in so we called ahead a few hours and booked an appointment here based on the good Yelp reviews. We were told no problem, come at 4. When we got there, we waited 40 minutes so that the two nail techs on staff could finish with the two patrons who were already there. I overheard my tech tell someone that the shop closed at 5 and it was obvious that they were rushing. Once they got around to doing my nails about 10 minutes to closing time, the manicure was very rough and damaging to my nails. My tech used a drill bit to get the last remnants of my old shellac off (grinding onto the nail underneath in the process), used a nail file to buff my nail beds, and gave me a very rough and painful cuticle clipping. My tech took several personal phone calls and kept turning around to look at the TV. When I asked her to round off the shape of my nails a bit she seemed really irritated. My nails were not all quite the same shape when she was "done." Some are much more round, some are more square, some are slightly higher on one edge, etc. The tech saw that she had blobbed the polish on my index finger and it had touched something when I put my hand in the dryer. Before I could even say anything, she was painting over it with topcoat, trying to "fix" it without having to buff it down and re-paint. I can still see a big wrinkly dent in my polish. My nails look okay from a distance but up close they don't look good. Based on this experience I would never recommend this salon to anyone else, even if it was just an off day. Don't book appointments for an hour before close if you're trying to leave on time. Take some pride in your work and if there is a mistake, fix it. Never again. read more

I've been looking for a place to get an affordable manicure in town for a while now, and I hit the jackpot with Dashing Diva! Lana is fantastic. She helped me figure out what kind of manicure would be best for my lifestyle, offered me a mimosa, and got to work. My nails all look even and smooth, same length, etc. I brought in an idea, and she put the design on my nails! I would have loved for her to go over the design a couple of more times so the lines looked thicker and cleaned up a bit. Other than that, new favorite nail place! read more

Three comments: 1.) Pedi was fine 2) vibe was not fine 3) I asked if they could do a mani at the same time as my pedi. Man replied "only two people working and if they could they would" That's fair, no problem. But when our pedi's were over, the man did the other worker's nails instead. Again, whatever - but I'll go somewhere else next time. About the vibe - My friend and I had the place to ourselves as the only two customers on a Sunday afternoon. The man working had the basketball game on tv (with sound) and when the game ended, infomercials played for the remainder of the time we were there. UGH! I get that this place is less expensive than those with a "spa" like atmosphere, but put on a little music and at least try to provide an atmosphere that two women on a Sunday afternoon might enjoy being in. read more

I receive beautiful and near perfect manicures every time I go here. I get gel done and I have very long nails. The owner is highly experienced, & I find his attention to detail unmatched. It is highly affordable, and also a convenient location. The environment is clean, quiet, and never overly crowded. Go to nail salon in Portland. I come here every 3 weeks and am never disappointed. Nails done by Lana. They take their time here and pay attention to full details. The prices are really good too. This set with 5 different colors only cost me $61, which for 5 colors and powder is not bad. Best place in Portland, 10/10 recommend read more

Found this place based on good Yelp reviews. I live nowhere near here but was driving through the area this week on a day trip with my Mom. We got here right at opening and the shop was clean and inviting. The first thing I noticed was how much the shop still represents reviews from a year ago saying that everything was so new and clean. It still looks like a brand new shop! My Mom and I got pedicures and thoroughly enjoyed the work and the shop atmosphere. We were the only ones in here until shortly before our nails were finished and it was so relaxing. The massage chairs are really nice and the service was fantastic. I wish I would have gotten the names of the guy and gal who did our nails, but they were super nice and chatted with us sometimes and other times lets us chat - which was nice since I hadn't seen my Mom in a while. They were also really purposeful and detailed with their work. I am not super picky about my pedicures, but I have the smallest and weirdest shaped pinky toenails ever and sometimes other pedicurists just do a quick swipe of polish over my nail and skin, which comes off immediately. The work they did here makes it look like I actually have a normal nail! Thanks so much!! read more

The best mani/pedi I've ever had! So grateful it's so close to my house. They accept walk- ins, they are friendly, use good products and have good prices (even for gel). I always feel Uber rushed, today was no different. I walked in and asked for a fill and pedicure. The woman said the wait was 15min, I decided to stay and wait. 20min passes by and I have yet to be seen, 25min and finally she gets up from her client and starts to fill the pedicure bowl with water and instructed me to have a seat and wait 5min. I waited, my water became cold. Finally, It was my turn... my pedicurist said absolutely nothing the entire 15-20min during the service. Someone else walked in and asked for a gel mani and pedi and she gave them the same answer she gave me "15min" although both her and the only other woman working were both attending to paying customers.. Long story short, my nails are shaped like a student tended to them, and I feel like I wasted $62 dollars today! read more

This place is great. They listen to exactly what you want and don't rush. The attention to detail is amazing and the quality is outstanding. My nails hurt, they have hidden charges for everything, there were things floating in my drink, they did not speak to me but were very clearly talking about me. The work was not at all impressive and the customer service was absolutely horrendous. Maybe I came in on a bad day, but one things is for sure, I will never go back. read more

I am ashamed it has taken this long to write this review. I randomly went here one afternoon on a weekday. They were not busy at all. I had one woman working on my feet and the other on my hands. A lady came in with her young daughter wondering if they had time for a mani/pedi for her. There was another lady not working on anyone. They yelled at the lady that they were too busy and she could come back three hours later if she wanted to. The lady who was African American grabbed her little girls hand and said, "that's ok" while walking out. Meanwhile I sit there in my white privilege with TWO people working on me. I will never go here again and neither should you. There was no denying the racism that this place showed. read more

Called this morning for an appointment for a manicure. Woman who answered asked when I wanted to come in and I said 20 minutes and she said ok. Got there and they asked me to come back in 30 minutes. I explained that I called ahead and made an appointment. They said they didn't get any calls. I double checked the number in my call log to the one on their business card on the desk and it was the same. They didn't seem to care that they lost my business. *update - I did make an appointment, guess they didn't remember or write it down! read more

The staff here are friendly and skilled. I've gotten several pedicures here now and they have all been very good. They are meticulous and do not rush through their work. The salon itself is nice, relatively spacious, and clean. I just wish prices were more comparable to prices in LA. $20 mani pedi will not be found anywhere in Portland... :( read more

I reached out to them 2 weeks ago for a full set with floral design. They replied saying they had an opening & to come on in. Once I arrived I'm helped with my pedicure (they offered a free drink so that's nice) I had better pedicures for cheaper. So now, it's time to get my nails done. Turns out, they don't do designs...they could have told me that before I came so I could have went else where. So I decide to stat & get foil on two nails. 1 weeks later, I have one missing nail & 3 nails lifting....I've had plenty that lasted me 3 weeks without them lifting. So I reach our & they told me to come in. Once I arrive, I'm seen by Lana & then she says "since it's someone else's work, I'll still have to charge you. $35. And nails typically last 2 weeks" Good to know now because I've paid cheaper for better quality. So I decided to give Lana a chance because this location is so close to my job, it was be easy to come in. Let's just say they look a ton better (more natural instead of jelly beans on my nails) but the shape is totally off(asked for almond, got stiletto), nails are crooked/slated, & there's acrylic still on my skin. Do your research on nail techs before popping into a nail salon. You'll save a ton of time & money! I'm out of $135 for nails that won't last more than 1 week. read more

I got a manicure and eyebrow wax. The manicure was decent...I'm not sure exactly what is the norm for manicures here because I just moved from the land of nail salons (NYC). Came out fine enough though. As for the eyebrow wax, I have pretty thick eyebrows that were a bit unruly when I went in. I asked to make them a little thinner and clean them up. Well the end result was my eyebrows being about one-third the thickness of where they started from. I don't know what would possess someone to wax off that much. Oh and they're not even either. I won't be going back. read more

Brought my friend here for her birthday and it was just a wreck. Granted, we did show up later than expected but the women were EXTREMELY rude. Rolling their eyes, huffing and puffing, etc. I'd never seen such unprofessionalism, and I'm not usually one to get all in a huff about such stuff but dang they were just straight up mean. The nails themselves were good (acrylic) but a separate lady painted them and they looked really bad. Considering I spent $80 snd didn't even get my nails done (I paid for two of my friends) I was not very happy with how they looked. Not coming back. read more

I only come here to get my nails done. I got a full natural looking set this last time and she "nailed" it. I also got a pedicure to die for. It's always quick when I come in for a walk in and everyone is always nice. Plus they give complimentary alcohol! It's always super clean and I've never had a bad experience. She responded very quickly to my message quickly when I expressed dissatisfaction with my hair afterward, and offered to redo the color but I'd rather wait for my hair to grow out as it's several inches too short and already has layers of color in it. I arrived at 11am for an appointment that my confirmation said would last until 1:30pm and we didn't finish until 4pm. She did my cut first and then did the baby lights- they added nice color and dimension to the hair as desired. But she then did my roots and combed the color through. While my color was processing, someone arrived for a haircut and had their haircut done while my color sat. Around 45 minutes later, my color was washed out and was darker than I expected- most of the baby lights were no longer visible. She mentioned the color will fade to be lighter as expected, but the result was surprising. I also asked for 2 inches or so to be cut, and mentioned I wanted to be able to put my hair in a ponytail still. When facing the mirror, the length was going great and she showed me it could still go in a ponytail. When turned around, I lost several inches for some reason and there was no going back. She took off even more in the back, and I left unable to put my hair in a ponytail. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication and she thought I wanted the grow out to be able to be in a ponytail, but I don't think so since she initially showed me she could put it in a ponytail. By 4pm I was tired and hungry and ready to get home- she asked if I wanted to see the hair blown out and styled which I did but just wasn't up for given the 5 hours I'd been there so I said no. There was also another person waiting for their 4pm appointment to start. When I did straighten it at home, I was surprised by my hair. I've gotten cuts that suit curly hair on many occasions and have always been able to wear the cuts straight too. This cut when straight appears uneven and choppy. The transition to the short back is awkward. She'd mentioned that at the end she'd go through and do any evening, cutting of long pieces etc needed but by then, as I'd mentioned, someone had shown up for another appointment at 4 and no additional cutting was done. I'm not sure if it was an off day, if my hair just took a few hours longer than expected or if she typically stacks appointments but things seemed rushed between the clients. I've never had someone try to do a whole haircut while dye sits on and I felt like my dye was likely left on too long due to it which resulted in the darker hair and missing baby lights. I've included pictures of my hair before the appointment length wise, what I asked for, and what I got. Given the many positive reviews, I'd say this could be chalked up to an off experience but given the starkly different results I thought it was worth sharing.

I decided to give it a shot. When I first walked in the door, I was greeted to the Manicure Table by one of the friendly Nail Tech after signing in for services. I asked the Nail Tech's name and she told me her name was Lana. Lana took her time to make sure everything was perfect. This is the best Acrylic Nail set I've ever had. My nails came out glamorous. This nail salon is in the middle of a homeless hotspot. A lot of sketchy people coming and going, and someone actually looked into the window of my car when I was getting my nails done. Sadly the location of this place is it's best feature. The ladies who work there didn't know that I speak basic Chinese. The repeatedly called me and my friend a "Bio zi" (Bitch). We were kind to the ladies and they continued to say things like "her breasts are fake" and "her hair is too flat" Not only were the employees rude, but they did a terrible job on my nails. She left the beds of them almost swollen looking and she didn't want to do a second coat of polish. Finally when I had enough I asked for her to remove the nails and offered to still pay but I did not want the nails on and she started yelling at me, I grabbed my things and walked out. With everything going on currently you would think they would be more courteous and appreciative of people risking their health to support small businesses. I was asked for my credit card number and that I would be charged for a no show. I said that was fine. We left two hours before our appointment from Salem to make sure we had plenty of time to park. All paid parking in the area, 2 hour paid street parking, and multi garages. They told us which garages were best. Douglas was the least stressful garage. Beautiful location along the riverfront. We were a few doors down grabbing coffee when 25 minutes before our service we were called. We went into the store and were told our services were cancelled. Someone went home sick. Things happen but didn't understand why they would cancel both services nor were they willing to give us a discount or anything when we returned. Management was off-site. We talked to someone on the phone. They said we could do back to back services that day when I mentioned I have medical treatments Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and that we drove from Salem. Tien was our technician, she was awesome. She did a great job with the pedicures and was so nice. She was by herself and her customers before and after seem to be happy repeat customers. I was shocked when one of her customers came in and wasn't told her service was bumped and we did not know we were bumping someone either. Management should really make it up to that customer. That customer was nice about it. We tipped Tien extra cause it wasn't her fault. I do like that they use parafin in their pedicures. They have Zoya nail polish which is the least toxic of what they carry. They also have Smith & Cult. I do not consider OPI non toxic nail polish. They do an alternative to acrylics but was not there when they were doing those so have no idea if the acrylic dust is less toxic. I am not sure if their regular base and top coats are non toxic either. They also have dazzle dry gel nails which are less toxic for $15 more. I would highly recommend Tien and only frustrated with the apathetic management team. Read reviews about drinks. We were not offered any but since only one person was doing everything, we understood.
