Ordered at the bar a few appetizers and asked for a sprite with a cup of ice, the bartender was super nice however, replied we can't give ice due to people bringing their own drinks in..... we do water with ice and drinks, I like to split ice ratio with a soda so it doesn't get to watered down...I'm with my kiddo and love ice so that was funny.. We ordered the nachos which use to be the bomb, but they changed the presentation and tray to a plate. The chicken was luke warm, but I don't expect much. Still had solid flavors. We then received our Mozzarella sticks- yes they are probably frozen!!! but the ratio of cheese amazing and crispy. These are a must. Ordered 3 cocktail over three hours then was sitting at our table and asked the server next to me if we could order 3 sets of bone in wings, the new sliders and the pasta, she replied sorry I can't, let me grab your server, I explained we got here before anyone was working - so can we order, she said I'll let your server know, 45 mins later nothing!!! so we left and went to Texas road- house for dinner! I hadn't been to an arcade since I was a kid, but Dave & Buster's allowed me to be a kid at heart, if only for a few hours, but it was a great few hours to say the least. One of my co-workers invited me to a dinner celebration that she was having there, and she scheduled the celebration to be on a Wednesday. I didn't ask why that day, but I saw on the Dave & Buster's website, every Wednesday is half off games. Pretty good deal, right? Oh I found a way to make it even better. Keep on reading. Our party started arriving at about 4 PM, but I took the long way around. Instead of walking counterclockwise from the front door, where I was greeted by the panoramic view of seemingly endless arcade games, I walked clockwise to peruse the arcade games there. Oh man there were so many games I think they had more than Round 1 at Lakewood Center! Don't quote me on that though, but that should give you an idea of how large the venue is. Our celebration included appetizers and soft drinks. I looked at the menu and could tell the appetizers were the "Shareables" part of the menu. But what about the wings, which were between the Shareables and the main entrees? At some places, wings can be appetizers, but at other places, wings can be the main course. I asked the celebratory co-worker if wings were included as an appetizer, but somehow, she missed them! I guess she was too laser-focused on getting as many shareables as possible that she overlooked the wings, but I did have to give her a hard time about that being that it was in the largest font on the menu lol. There were several choices of wings on the menu, both bone-in and boneless. When the server came by to ask what kind of wings we'd like, I said bone-in Spicy Korean even though I wasn't sure how spicy Spicy Korean would be. The server assured me it wasn't spicy at all, which was true, but why not change the name to "Not" Spicy Korean instead? lol the wings also come with carrots, celery, and a choice of ranch or bleu cheese. In true anti-Buffalonian fashion, I shamelessly chose ranch to go with the "Not" Spicy Korean wings. There was quite a wait for our appetizers to come out, but they came out all at the same time, so kudos to the kitchen staff for making that happen. For a sports bar, I didn't think the food was bad at all! It was certainly a lot better than what I'd get at B-Dubs. However, the Crispy Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and the All-American Cheeseburger left much to be desired. Chips were a little stale, but the wings were pretty good, especially with...yes, ranch! Not sorry Buffalo! Based on the food alone, I probably would have given 3.5 stars, a rather generous rating I would say, but I'd be happy to bump it up to 4 stars because of the white queso stealing the show for me! As we were consolidating our appetizers, I noticed a mostly untouched basket of fries with a white queso dipping sauce. I tried it and inhaled the queso so much I ate that whole basket of fries without offering to share. Also not sorry! lol We were then ready for some arcade games! Our celebratory co-worker initially envisioned 5 of us to spend $20 each for 100 credits, but a quick glance at the pricing of credits at our table later, I immediately thought of a better idea. Instead of 5 of us spending $100 in total for a combined 500 credits across 5 different cards, why don't we all pitch in to spend the same amount of money, but for 50% more credits instead?! The only caveat with that idea is that we'd be sharing one card, but none of us saw this as a major drawback. We went through on my idea and pitched in for a $100 Power card that would start off with 750 game credits. How many game credits does it cost to play a game? It varies. Some could be as low as 3.3. Some could be as high as double that. Also, some games are ticket games whereas most others are non-ticket games. Definitely keep all of this in mind, especially as you roam the shelves of prizes and see what good prizes they have in store! A lot of the games were super fun, but some were a little faulty. Not to worry. For the faulty games, we had to call over an employee, and they would do what they had to do to make things right. A few other games were buggy, but we tried not to let it ruin our fun, which we had a ton of! We played a handful of ticket games to try and score some tickets. None of us hit a jackpot on anything, but we did score some big ones on a spinning wheel. Some of the games looked confusing to play without instructions, but there were several other games that needed no instructions. We definitely didn't spend that much on ticket games compared to non-ticket games, but we accrued over 1,000 tickets, enough to get a mini basketball hoop, which would be useful for breaks at work. We spent almost 4 hours there, and we still had plenty of credits left on the card, which can be used another day. I enjoyed my time here! You will too! read more

We came here to celebrate my 5 year old's birthday and his Tio's 48th bday. At first, we were blown away by the lights and games when we entered. Then, when we got seated, we were again amazed by the HUGE wall of screens playing the Lakers game, football and some other sports. My 10 year old, who's a basketball nut, loved it. I have to admit, from where I was seated, I saw fights and the games, including college games, so it was good for me, too. We came on a weeknight, so it wasn't crowded and parking was easy to find. I know that on weekends or during playoffs it would be another story. We got the fried pickles, delicious, the potstickers (way too spicy), the flatbread pizza (they only have pepperoni, so even if you just want cheese, you get charged for pepperoni), pretzel dogs and pretzel sticks. The flatbread was a hit with the kids and they didn't even order a kids meal. The one kids meal that my niece ordered, Mac and cheese, she didn't even touch. She said it tasted "yucky." The potstickers were salty and drenched in chili oil. The pretzel dogs were okay, but my son just ate the outside. I tried the dog and it was dried out. The pretzel sticks were good. The Modelo michelada I got was spot on. Bummer I accidentally spilled it and had to pay for another one... The triple rum and coke my father in law ordered was good according to him, but he likes rum... The birthday cake ale my brother in law ordered was so sweet and delicious it was a hangover waiting to happen... As for food, the steaks were good, but the fish and chips were just meh. The chicken cobb salad or whatever it's called was just awful. Deep fried breaded chicken bites with lettuce and dressing... The chicken bites tasted hard and old, like it had been microwaved too long... The Korean BBQ wings were good. Not Wingstop good, but OK. Our bill came out to over $600.00 including 4 game cards at $40/each. So the food and drinks were really only $440.00. We paid the bill, but were still hanging out playing games or eating the birthday cakes we brought. The waitress just about abandoned us after we paid so we had to wait almost 15 minutes just to get some water to wash down the cake. However the problem is the dine in gets so overly popular that the wait on weekends and Friday night is like 2+ hours, which is insane. Def don't recommend coming here on weekends, holidays, or Friday night unless you are just there to play games. If you want a table, you'd have to come earlier to grab em, maybe go home and come back. Their customer service, I mean its what you'd expect at a chuckie cheese kind of deal, you're not here for the quality, I assume you're here for watching games, drinking or playing the games. Stopped in to watch the end of the game. Had a delicious long island iced tea. Companion bought $3 jello shots. Lots of games. Food looks good. Very friendly bartender. Always busy on the weekends. Also they show UFC. Games are fun. You don't get. tickets, it goes on your card. Loud but fun. Bar is trendy, great for dates. Next time I will try the food. 5 star service tonight. I like the food here and the fact you can have a drink if you want. Little pricy but a good time. Service from the dining area is great. I came here once during Valentine's Day and they had a picture taking person who was sweet but got their get on us with their price. The cool part is that it's a mix of games for any age. I can also see this as an issue -- I think there should definitely be a hostess directing traffic. I didn't see that presence while there. I came here to shoot some pool, but unfortunately, this was a mini D& B. They didn't have pool tables here. So I saw an advertisement that said I would get $20 to join D& B. I joined but didn't get my $20 until my next visit...Hmm, I should have read the small, tiny fine print...I bought $45 worth of games to try out what new games they had. It was half-price on Wednesdays, so I played my heart out and still had at least 200 points to use on my next visit, which I'll take my brother to join in on the fun. The race car game takes a picture of you before the race, which was cool. They also had one virtual reality simulation game, which I couldn't try because it was always used. The last time I was here, we shared the following snacks: -pretzel dogs ($12.95): beef franks, pretzel wraps, served with spicy habanero sauce -crispy chicken strips ($12.95): four hand breaded crispy chicken strips served with ranch and bbq -grande cantina nachos ($14.50): ancho chile chicken, white queso, black beans, grilled poblanos, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, cilantro, and ancho lime crema Everything fell a little flat. The pretzel wrap on the pretzel dogs were a little tough and chewy like someone microwaved them for a little too long. Likewise with the chicken strips - they were oh so small and oh so dry. Skip. Everyone I've met here has been really nice. On my first time I went alone to make a 2 month pass and the people in the winners circle were so patient and helped me out a lot. Went in for lunch at the recommendation of a friend. Known for their arcades and games, I never considered the restaurant/ bar. Monday through Thursday they have 50% off menu items if you have downloaded the app. The food and drinks were really good. Ebony was our server and she was really pleasant and made sure to check in on us frequently. They have large screen TVs surrounding the bar and restaurant area. Very bad experience. Bad staff, bad service. My wife and I drove 45 minutes to D&B LB to watch our NFL team. We called the day before (no answer), so when we arrived, I asked a waiter if the game would be on. With an attitude, he said "probably." I asked him to confirm, he checked a book, came back and said "yes." We were seated (after politely asking not to be sat in the back at a bad-view table, which annoyed him again). Ordered drinks, got the drinks, asked what was the hind up on showing the game, then 20-30 minutes later the waiter tells us: "Bad news, we're not showing the game" Game day ruined. The manager offered some game play, but it wasn't about that--it was about being misled and treated poorly. The waiter even laughed at us from across the room with another employee, which was childish and unprofessional. I later contacted upper management and got the same empty promises with no follow-up. No accountability. It's not about freebies--it's about basic hospitality, honesty, and respect. Sadly, D&B LB failed on all counts. Pretty sure time won't favor this chain if they don't fix their issues, and soon they will follow the steps of Cracker Barrel and On the Border. Because in a time when chains like TGI Fridays, Denny's, Ruby Tuesday, Red Lobster--even Popeyes, Burger King, and McDonald's--are facing significant closures and financial difficulties, it is important to maintain an edge by providing good, reliable customer service and making sure you don't burn their regular clientele. read more

D&B gets 5 starts solely for their coin pusher games! They are one of the few arcades remaining with coin pushers. They have a large variety of games, a full bar, a large menu, clean restrooms, a wall of different beers on tap. The servers are mostly attentive. Be ready to spend, though! Came here after a friend's birthday dinner to meet a couple friends here. It was not that crowded on a Saturday night. We went to the bar but we were not greeted (that's a deal breaker for me!) After 5 or so mins, the bartender said she would be with us. We wanted to leave immediately because the service was poor and no one was cleaning the tables. It was definitely a sore sight- empty glasses and left over plates everywhere! However, we had friends meeting us there so we couldn't leave. After 20 mins, the bartender took our drink order. Luckily, the drinks (strawberry margarita and apple mule) were good! Friends arrived and it was around midnight. They were hungry so we ended up sitting at a table. Just like sitting at the bar, service was absent. A friend had to request someone walking by if they knew who serviced this area. To make matters worse, around 12:20 am, the music went off! We asked why and they said, "we close at 1:00 am and we need to tone down the atmosphere." If I wanted a tone down atmosphere, I would go home and get in the bed! Sigh! We informed our server we are here to enjoy ourselves for our friends birthday and without the music, the atmosphere is not a "Dave and Busters" atmosphere. To our surprise, manager turned the music back on (lowered volume) and came to apologize. He even brought ice cream for the birthday boy! That positivity didn't last long because it took another 20 mins for our second round of drinks to come (the manager had get it). We went and played a couple basketball games while our other friends had dinner which was fun. My friend never wants to return. However, the drinks are very good and I love a good basketball challenge. Overall, the review is 2 stars but David the manager was our MVP! May Happy Hour! My group of 12 coworkers sat at the bar and high top tables. This place does not offer happy hour food specials, however, they do have $5 select domestic beers and $10 cocktails. We ordered a couple of flatbreads, wings, and chorizo queso dip. Food perfectly paired with our drinks! I was excited to try the Tap Zone feature where you are able to pour your own beer, however, it poured more foam than beer every time. Horrible! Overall that just sums it up. I am so dissapointed in this location. Finally to have one closer to home, yet i'll be driving to further ones from now on. It's new, it's smaller, they are missing so many of the best games...ski ball, where is ski ball???, half the games weren't working, and it is oh so dirty. When I first walked in, I went to use the restroom and it clearly had not been cleaned all day. To find a stall kinda usable was almost impossible. I couldn't of wash my hands and gotten out of there fast enough. On to some entertainment or kinda lack there of. When you have a multi-player game and it is only counting correctly for 1 person but not the other, it is frustrating. It's suppose to be a friendly competition, right??? The prices you pay per game are very high. A couple unique games, like hungry hippo was fun for 4 adults bringing back some childhood memories, but other than that, a disappointment. I've been here 3 times now since this new location has opened and I feel that it's a legit addition to the Long Beach Towne Center as well as Long Beach in itself. Full transparency, I did attend a sneak peak event right before they opened which made my first visit pretty amazing. We were spoiled with a bunch of freebies. My rating is does not include this day. For my second visit, my company hosted their holiday party at D&B and the staff did a really good job with the team building exercise. We were split up into multiple groups then given matching wristbands and bandanas (Team Purple!). This was helpful since they mixed up the departments and many folks on my team work in a different office than me. We were given game cards and a super long list for a scavenger hunt. Some of the items on the list were easier to find answers to, such as, what is the first fruit to appear in the Pac Man game? Some of the other items were more challenging, such as, how many points do you earn when you get a homerun in the baseball game? This was a fun way to play the games in order to play the scavenger hunt, as well as explore all that D&B has to offer. Our party had a private room with a buffet of brunch items. They were able to confirm the vegan items and I ended up eating potato tacos with black beans and pico de gallo. On my last visit, Hubby and I came here spontaneously for date night. It was pretty crowded for a Friday night but we still were able to play a good amount of games. The drinks are pretty good. We've had the Crown Green Apple Mule which taste better than it sounds. It's made with apple whiskey, granny smith apple, citrus, and ginger beer. The Dangerous Waters Island Punch (made with Malibu coconut rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice and citrus) didn't really do it for me but Hubby liked it. Though I think I wasn't into it because it was overshadowed by the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita which has strawberry-infused ice cubes! Got here for a birthday party and it was great. Party rooms are a little small to be shared with 2-4parties. But was ok since mostly the kids and adults were out playing and socializing. Game cards weren't an issue. Just be prepared cashless system when getting or reloading your game cards. This place is a little smaller than of dnb's I've been too but it's good for the location. Oh, if you're a beer drinker, they have a wall of beer spouts. It's roughly $.40/oz. So it's ok about $7/16oz poured. Will be coming again in the near future with some girlfriends for gno. read more

Look man I get it, it's Valentine's Day and it gets busy. Got here at 5:55pm and got seated immediately so that was nice at the very least. But we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come talk to us or ask us about what drinks we wanted. No one bothered to check in on us, mind you we are sitting in a bright area in the middle where we are visible. The tables around us were getting served. We got noticed once by staff but they just walked past us and didn't bother saying a word and immediately looked the other way. Wife got the Philly cheesesteak. The meat and onions were good. The cheese sauce, not so much. Son got the chicken avocado sandwich, said the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Huge screens to watch sports. Oddly, the music in the diner area was too loud. Surprised the server could hear us. Our server, Vic, was great. Very friendly and answered our questions about the food. I had two Long Island ice teas. Not strong at all. Feel like I should have had a good buzz going, but nah. Stick with beer or straight alcohol drinks next time. Game area has a good variety. Could have better variety of ticket games....but then they need to get better prizes too. Overall we had fun and the food was good. We will go again. read more

What an amazing birthday I had here. Although I have been to Dave and Busters before to play games, I have never had the chance to eat here. Upon arrival, my mom and I were immediately greeted by Nichole who was super friendly and put us at a table. I was being indecisive on what I wanted to eat until Nichole went through the entire menu with me giving her recommendations. I'm not one for trying new things because I hate to be disappointed but that was not the case today. I tried the chicken parmesan pasta for the first time and wow. I ate the entire plate. I had been craving noodles for a while and this is exactly what my taste buds wanted. The drinks were also really good. Our server helped us make sure we got the best deal on the food that also included game play. The bartender and other staff were all so nice! They worked together as a team and it really showed. Later we found out that Nichole wasn't a server. Well, she SHOULD be! She really was patient with us, had amazing customer service, went above and beyond, and made my night.
