Food is HOT n' FRESH AF. Everything is cooked to order and prices are wicked reasonable and there are specials to be had each day. The staff is VERY efficient and friendly as hell. The same owners also operate Harry's Bar & Grille across the road. This seasonal open air covered restaurant & bar has a long full bar with high seating on each side with flatscreen TVs and patio table seating alongside the bar. They also offer takeout and online ordering with a dedicated takeout and food order assembly area next to their food trailer, which is the kitchen. The food menu offers BBQ (brisket, ribs, pulled pork), burgers, sandwiches, sides, Mac & cheese, Tex Mex plates, pitmaster chili, salads, appetizers, and soft serve ice cream treats. They also have a pizza oven, but the menu will be determined by next season. The pricing is fair here. I stopped by Dave's BBQ Bar for takeout early evening. The place was moderately busy already with the college football games on the TVs. I took a few moments to decide what I wanted. I went with the BBQ Beef Brisket ($20 plus tax) served with choice of sauce, 2 sides and corn bread. I also got a Texas Frito Pie ($9 plus tax), which was a large pitmaster chili with cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeños, sour cream cups and a small bag of Fritos. A staff member took my order over a tablet and I paid by card on the tablet. The total was $31.03 with tax and before takeout tip. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I checked my order before I left the property and discovered that one of the sides was incorrect giving me a farmhouse bean salad (corn & black beans) instead of Mac & cheese. I walked back into the takeout area with the farmhouse bean salad and the staff apologized for the mixup and gave me the side of mac & cheese and let me keep the farmhouse bean salad (extra side) at no charge. I enjoyed my takeout dinner in a quiet park. The Large Chili was a bit messy which they really filled up well over the top after taking off the lid, can't complain about being generous. The brisket chili was really good and I mixed some Fritos in for crunch. The beef brisket portion was good, tender lean brisket, a bit dry smothered in a sweet Kentucky bourbon BBQ sauce. The Tex Mex rice was firm and a good side choice for the brisket. The Mac & cheese was very dense with lots of cheese and soft macaroni. The farmhouse bean salad was actually pretty good too, thanks Dave! Overall, I enjoyed my takeout dinner and this cool setup with the seasonal outdoor dining/bar area with food trailer and their year round Diner next door. Hopefully, they will have pizza on the menu next season, which I will try.

I absolutely love Dave's Diner! In an area where diners are few and far between, this place truly stands out as a gem. It's super easy to get to, with plenty of parking available and no stress about finding a seat-- even during busier times. The service is consistently great, with friendly servers who are always on top of things, and the food never disappoints. Everything I've had has been fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I leave full and happy every single time. Yes, the prices have gone up over the years, but that's just the way of the world nowadays-and honestly, the quality and experience still make it worth it. My go-to favorite is their cinnamon French toast. It's absolutely delicious-sweet, warm, and perfectly cooked. Went to Dave's for breakfast with a group. Super nice waitress but did miss on giving one of us tea twice, and the second time she said "it's at the end of the table". Why wouldn't she put it in front of her? The food was ok. Most of us got a special (apple cinnamon waffle and a egg, sausage and pepper jack cheese on a croissant ). Most seemed to enjoy the waffle but I thought the croissant could have been warmer and the home fries were mediocre at best. The biggest issue was the price. $13+ for the croissant and $14+ for the waffle, including coffee/tea with all the meals. Came here for lunch on a Sunday and was very disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken platter and was underwhelmed. The mashed potatoes had no flavor and the biscuit was very dry and stale. The chicken was flavorless, it just tasted like flour. For some reason they don't like to use salt or pepper in any of there food, bummer!
