Dave's Hot Chicken definitely hits the spot if you're craving something spicy and crispy. The chicken had a outstanding amount of seasoning, the heat levels were just a tiny bit underwhelming, and everything came out fresh. It's a fun, reliable option when you want that Nashville‑style fix. That said, it didn't quite separate itself from the crowd. The flavors were good, just not memorable enough to push it ahead of other hot chicken spots I've tried. For me, it landed in that "tasty, but not exceptional" zone. Enjoyable to say the least, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

Gave five stars for good quality food and service. Staff was friendly and explained everything well. The store was clean and had a fun vibe. It's definitely a place to try. If you like these chicken tender joints you have to try these. The combo we had was the #2, two sliders fries and pickles. The "sliders" are huge! They are on burger buns so clearly we shared them. Idk who could eat these themselves. The chicken was surprisingly odd. The quality of the chicken was spot on. However the coating was interesting. I had to watch a video online because I was confused. We got one mild and one extra hot. So the chicken is coated in hot oil and seasoned with powder. (That is where I'm not a fan) The flavor is good, but you taste the seasonings as a 3d kind of item, idk how to explain it. Worth a shot anyway!

Tender almost the size of my hand!

WOOOOW this place is legit! I didn't think you could get good hot chicken in south Florida til today. I no longer have to wait for my trips to Nashville! They have a colorful graffiti vibe inside, set up to order from a counter and grab when ready. Bunch of people behind the counter working and still learning the in and outs of the day to day operation. However order came quicker than I thought it initially would. I had enough time to wash my hands and google about the company! Did you know the owner Dave is a chef that was trained at French laundry? Once I read that I knew this place would already taste good! I got the slider and tender combo with fries since I was indecisive. The slider is more of a chicken sandwich! The tender is almost as big as my hand. I tried to order extra hot but after the cashier gave me a worried face I stuck with just hot. glad I did! Sandwich has pickles and shockingly a kale and purple cabbage mix on it. It added the flavor and extra crunch beyond the pickles. Seasoning on fries was delish and Dave sauce is a mayo based yumminess. Of course I had to try the lucky charm shake as well. I was enticed by the unique topping choice and had to get it to seal the deal. Thanks Dave's, I'll see you next week for lunch sometime!

Came here to see what all the hype was about. The line was fairly long and the people waiting to get their food was even longer! I am not holding that against them! As a new restaurant comes to town I'm glad to see the community out to show its support! My wife got the no spice and I got the medium spice. Both my wife and I thought our food was a bit bland. It was moderately crispy and moderately juicy as well. It's not a bad sandwich but it wasn't over the top either! Maybe they just forgot to add a decent amount of the medium hot sauce because it was far from medium spice level. The restaurant was clean and the service was ok. I would give it another shot at another time .... But the last time was a bit of a miss for me!

This location is easily seen from Congress Rd. in Boynton. I stopped in after a little retail therapy in the plaza to get a quick lunch. The restaurant wasn't too busy but does a good take out business. I had planned to eat inside so I ordered at the counter. Though I wish they had more options on the menu, I went with the two tender special that included one side. I went with their Kale Slaw which was very good and it was soothing to my mouth from the Hot level of spice that I ordered for my chicken. I also got a complimentary soda by downloading their app and registering eventhough I didn't need to order from the app. The gentleman, Samuel, who was behind the counter was super helpful and patient with me as this was my first visit. I thought the tenders were very good and not dried out at all. They were fresh cooked and seasoned in a spicy powder with hot oil and light breading. The vibe inside the restaurant was pretty cool from the decorative walls to the metal seating. There is a turf area out front which would be a great place for the little ones to play or for a small soccer pick up game when the weather is much cooler out. I will definitely come back to get some great hot tenders.

I've been on a fried chicken sandwich kick lately and this is officially my new go-to spot. Whatever they coat the chicken in is straight from heaven. The only feedback I have is that they should offer ranch. While their sauce is really good, ranch is just a total game changer. We got ours to go so added some at home and it was chefs kiss!!

Slider combo #Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries. It was lot of food.

Walked in to a big industrial space - concrete floors and graffiti on the walls. There was a line to order with the cashier. I ordered the tenders meal and the sliders meal. Not sure if the difference. Tenders came wrapped in a pice of sliced bread. Sliders were served on a Hamburg roll. Two sliders was too much food for 1 person. You can vary the heat - I got medium which was good. Overall tasty. I also tried a strawberry lemonade which was frozen and nicely sweet and tart at the same time. Seemed expensive but if a combo meal feeds 2 people then rather cheap!

Came on a Friday night around 8 pm and there was a decent amount of people inside. Theres plenty of seating as well and the place looks very clean and well kept. We ordered fairly quickly but it took 25 MINUTES for one slider and two chicken tenders!! That was the main reason I took one star off. The workers were very kind and accommodating. The food was great. I loved the slider and my husband liked his chicken tenders. The slider comes with pickles and Cole slaw. The tenders were crispy and fresh. The fries didn't taste too fresh but they were good with their special sauce. I would come again but hope that their workflow improves because waiting 25 minutes for some chicken tenders is absurd lol

    - I'll admit it. I'm getting as tired of restaurants that "specialize" in chicken tenders as the next guy, but Dave's has some decent word of mouth, and having loved hot chicken last time I was in Nashville, I decided to try it out... - The first thing I noticed was the odd decor. I'm sure it's supposed to mean something to someone but it comes across as wholly unfinished. - Hard red metal chairs reminiscent of nothing so much as 2nd grade story circle, multi colored stepped seating overlooking a patch of artificial turf, and graffiti tagging inspired letting along the walls did not bode well for a comfy late lunch but I pressed on. - The service was great! Fast, friendly, and took the time to explain the menu items, but sadly... though the chicken was plump, meaty, and moist, no amount of friendliness gets you ready for paying $13+ for 2 chicken tenders. I could literally buy a whole rotisserie cooked chicken for less... at more than one place nearby. - I went with 'medium' for my first Dave's experience, but it was barely mild. And covered in a cinnamon sugar coating that doesn't taste bad, but had to time to soak in so it was a gritty dust in the very bite. - Fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Pickles were crispy and a nice half sour flavor, but the limp white bread under the chicken had even less flavor than it had eye appeal. This is no Nashville Hot chicken, and whoever Dave is, he's got some splainin to do...

Dave's Hot Chicken in Boynton Beach is definitely a great spot to check out if you're craving some delicious meaty Chicken Tenders. They have a variety of heat levels from No Spice all the way to Reaper which you have to agree to a Waiver and Release to order. The house fries are seasoned perfectly and had a nice crisp. I also enjoyed the Coleslaw that is topped on the slider with crunchy pickles. There was a line out the door because this is definitely a hotspot in Boynton. We only waited 15 minutes before we were able to order and our food came out quickly and ready to eat. The restaurant brought back some 90s nostalgia with the bright graffiti walls and there was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors with a nice green lawn. We will be back soon!

Tall orders from the table TITAN! **REAPER REVIEW BELOW** For me, Dave's Hot Chicken has been hyped up for over a year. Friends of mine have been saying to try it for a while because they live in Orlando and central Florida seemed to get the locations first. I got excited when I heard they were opening a location this week and today was their soft opening. I will preface with I LOVE spicy food. The spiciest of Thai, Szechuan, and Indian is usually my go to. When I heard they had a "Reaper" sauce that needed a waiver signed to eat it, I knew I had to give it a shot. Ok onto the review and I'll keep it shorter since you've read this far: Interior design and ambiance: 4/5 stars. -the inside is bright and colorful and screams urban chic, trendy, and graffiti. It has outside and inside seating and free refills on soft drinks. The two bathrooms are unisex and clean (even though it is still their first day open). The main downside to the inside is it is very loud and sound bounces everywhere due to the polished concrete floor. (Think cafeteria). Team members and service: 5/5 The team was super nice, read a script after they asked if it was our first time, and was very polite when it came to handing us the order. Food was quality and flavor: 4/5 So we tried multiple items on the menu to give us a good sampling of what they had to offer. First: chicken tenders (their main attraction) They were large and tender, they were juicy and crispy, and fresh. Crispier than canes and closer to the size of Publix tenders. They have a scale of spiciness/heat going from. No spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper. I wanted to see how their seasoning was and wanted to try all ends of the spectrum. We ordered: No spice: tasted like a standard chicken tender. It had great size and crispiness and was not dry but not much to offer in the flavor department. Medium spice: this is what I expected to be their flagship. It had good flavor but was not as spicy as a chick fil a spicy chicken sandwich. In hindsight sight. I should have gotten the hot and very hot to try also but at over $5 a tender, it's not as cheap as Cane's to add a tender a la carte. I will be back to try the other two next time. I had this tender on the sandwich with coleslaw (they call it kaleslaw), pickles and Dave's hot chicken sauce and it was tasty. I normally don't like coleslaw, but it was fresh. The pickles were crisp, and the Dave's hot chicken sauce tasted similar to thousand island, which is OK but nothing special. **REAPER**: ok so the moment you've been waiting for. The reaper. Being that I was extremely skeptical about what a fast casual restaurant chain considered spicy enough to make you sign a waiver, I didn't have high hopes. The easiest way to put this is if you have had or heard of the one chip challenge, it tastes just like the seasoning on the chip. One bite, and your senses will be excited, your lips will be numb and burning simultaneously, and your sinuses will clear like free samples at Costco on a Saturday. It is not enjoyable at all but the novelty of it may keep it as a menu item for high school dares for the foreseeable future. Skip this is you want to enjoy very spicy chicken and actually taste it. Ok speed round, Side items: Crinkle fries- great seasoning, crispy, delicious. Mac and cheese- arguably one of the best things they had there. It was seaoned well, moist, and served hot. Perfect. Slice of white bread- standard, soft, what you expect. Hi-C orange lavaburst slush- gosh darn amazing. I was pleasant surprised to see they had this and had to get it while I was there. Milk shakes- machine was down and didn't get to try. Final verdict! I'd give this place a 5 if it was crave worthy and made me want to go back time and time again. It just wasn't that for me. It had a good portion size, the food was hot and fresh, and the place and people were nice. That's reason to give it a four alone. I will give it another shot in the future but as far as fried chicken spots go, I think it's pretty run of the mill. Every bite's a judgement day- and I'm just here serving back justice

I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. He keeps finding ways to surprise people... and that's a big part of what makes Flybird so much fun. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Decked out with disco balls, funky chairs, graffiti inspired artwork, and the best music I've heard in a quick serve spot -- this place feels more like a local bar. Everything was completely spotless clean, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. There's even local touches like a community board which I loved. The food comes out super quick too! I've gone for The Box which had 4 tenders, Cole slaw, sauce, fries, a drink, and bread -- and the 3 tender combo with bread, a drink, and fries. The chicken is so dang fresh, juicy, and tender. Most places tenders are rock solid and overcooked, but this felt like it was right out of the fryer and so fresh. The breading was lighter, but still had a crunch -- even with some softer/wetter spots. The sauce was really good and the fries were solid, although a little undersalted/seasoned. The lemonade was also really good! I'm absolutely going to keep coming back here!

So this is not a restaurant but rather a takeout spot so no dining in. They have a large menu but they're known for the rotisserie chicken and latkes so that's what we ordered. They have an early bird menu and daily deals that offer incredible value. We got the lunch or early bird special which was around $10 for a 1/4 chicken, latke and coleslaw. That's cheaper than McDonald's meal these days. Even without the specials the prices are very fair. The food is awesome, probably the best roast chicken I've ever had. It was juicy and tender and the skin had the most delicious seasoning. The latkes were just as amazing, still crisp even though we had picked up the food a couple of hours before consuming. They were perfectly seasoned, a hint of onion, just perfection. We also had coleslaw and macaroni salad and these were also great but standard. Service was quick and efficient, again no table service so can't comment on that. Overall this is a hidden gem. Value is not only fantastic but the food is really amazing as well. They have touch screens you order from but I prefer speaking to a human - which all the guys are quick to help you out if you are trying to rage against the hospitality service machine. I went for the chicken and waffles & I've never been so sure of my life decisions. Holy sweet proof that God loves us on a tray. It also reheated well in the air fryer bc I could not finish it in one sitting (I mean...I could I would just be in physical pain for stuffing myself beyond what my stomach can tolerate) My man got whatever Marvin recommended which was a huge bowl of rice fresh veg and chicken which was also delicious and lasted for another meal. While the name alludes to spicy chicken you can get "country" style which has no heat. So again for a place with just chicken, Louie's has a lot to offer. One of the best things about this place is that you can choose your spice level--from "country" (no heat) to "Bat Outta Hell" for those who like it seriously hot. It makes it easy whether you're sensitive to spice or want a challenge. The atmosphere stands out right away--very rock 'n' roll inspired with drum-style lighting fixtures, band stickers throughout, and Band music playing in the background. It gives the restaurant a fun, laid-back vibe. They offer all the classics, including chicken and waffles, which looked great. I decided to go a bit lighter and ordered the Blazing Chicken Bowl with romaine instead of rice. It was fresh, flavorful, and still had a nice kick without feeling too heavy. Every meal came with an extra sauce, if needed for more flavor. Location is super convenient--right off the turnpike off Atlantic Ave, so it's easy to get in and out. Overall, a great addition to the area. Looking forward to coming back and trying more items (and maybe bumping up the spice level next time!).
