I am a big fan of hot chicken. Whether it's actually in Nashville or anywhere in Buffalo, I always have to give it a try. My wife had never tried Dave's before so we were running errands and decided to stop in. We ordered it for pick up because of the snow storm and the amount of snow in the parking lot was our sign to take it home. We walked in and this location is huge. It is a really nice location inside and I like how they have a tv screen that tracks your order for you so you know when it's ready. So cool. Our order was being packed up as I walked in so perfect timing. The food itself was great! I ended up going with one medium and one hot. There is definitely a jump up in spiciness between the two levels and they are very flavorful with the spice, not just a blind heat. These sliders are HUGE. They really fill you up and the fries are perfect. Love the seasoning and the crinkle cut. We will definitely be back for more and this is a great place when you're looking for that hot chicken fix. read more

I decided to stop on the way home from work on one of our recent very cold days, we had never tried Dave's and I was intrigued by the hot chicken concept. The three stars is for the food. The chicken itself is outstanding, and the French fries are also really good. I found the service a bit lacking, thus only three stars. It was not crowded. I walked in and there was one group eating and one person waiting for food. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful. However, I placed my order, paid and was given my receipt and a "buzzer" and I waited. The thing that irked me is that I saw my order come from the kitchen, handed from a cook to an employee on the other side of the window, who kept talking and talking and talking to the cook while my food was sitting there. All she needed to do was put the order into the plastic bag, but for about five minutes talked to the cook and kept her back to the customer area, as did the other employees. I saw other employees walking around, there were more staff than customers, but I don't know what they were accomplishing. But my order still waited as they all talked. She eventually very, very slowly added the box with my food to the plastic bag and finally I received my order. Why did it take so long to put my order into a plastic bag and give it to me? The "sliders" are actually a full size sandwich, don't let the name fool you. It was delicious, if slightly cool from sitting at the counter. However, I don't like to patronize a business that has no real management on premises making sure that the staff is engaged. This never happens at Chick Fil-A. Since I discovered Dave's Hot Chicken, we've been here three times in a span of a couple weeks. I've fallen in love with the taste of this chicken. It's by far my favorite "fast food" fried chicken. Everything is bursting with flavor. I do usually have a stomach ache afterwards from the spice, but it's well worth it. I've tried mild, medium and hot and thought that was just a tad too much for me so I've been sticking to medium. I recommend the sliders over just the tenders because they have so much more flavor with the added ingredients. Everything is usually ready within 10 minutes, typically ready before the time they tell me to pick up, which is great. read more

I came here for the first time yesterday with my niece. They had just opened two days prior at this location. The customer service was great. When I walked up to the counter, after mentioning that I had never visited a Dave's Hot Chicken before, the employee mentioned about the seven spice levels. My niece and I each ordered a number three, which is a one chicken tender and one chicken slider with fries. She ordered hot and I ordered mild. The spice levels are no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper. Our #3's were $14.49 each. Drinks don't come with the meals. They have to be added on separately. She ordered an M&M regular shake with a vanilla ice cream base. I ordered a small Oreo shake with a chocolate base. Both were very good. Cool murals on the wall. Their hours are Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 am-11pm and Friday and Saturday 10:30am-12am. I'm taking off a full star because of how expensive this place was and because the food isn't brought out to you. You're given a pager, after ordering, and you have to come up to get your food. Absolutely Amazing! I honestly wasn't expecting the food to be that good! I've always been a big fan of Nashville-style hot chicken--especially Hatty B's--but after trying Dave's Hot Chicken, watch out Hatty B's... Dave's has you beat! From the moment I walked in, everything felt right. The woman who took my order was friendly, professional, and efficient. My food came out quicker than expected, and it was incredible--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They serve generous portions too, so you definitely leave full and satisfied. What really stood out to me was how clean and well-run the place was. The staff worked together seamlessly--everyone pitching in to wipe down tables and keep things spotless. Chickens fantastic, sauces are great and so are the portions. Do you guys share a staff with chipotle down the street? I'm 3/3 with the counter workers being unpleasant. Had a slider, fries, and a frozen orange drink and it was delicious. Never had Dave's hot chicken before but I'll be back. You get to pick your spice level which is great because I don't like super hot stuff. Chicken had lots of flavor and so did the slaw on the slider. Even the pickles are good. read more

They have gone downhill quick. The chicken is overcooked and dry. More importantly, they are screwing up a lot more. Last night I ordered a hot box of sliders and they gave me tenders. They wouldn't even refund me the $70 I spent on an item they screwed up. read more

Inside the store is a dirty mess. Trash on the floor and the drink station. Staff wasn't very friendly. Way over priced, 2 chicken finger meals with a drink was 48$. Noting about the meal was good. Over cooked chicken with Two piece of toast and fries. read more
