I have to admit I put some ranch dressing from home on the slider (hot) and damn it was good!!!! The chicken strip, again with home provided honey, was amazing!!!! Hot and sweet!!! So damn good. My other half ordered a mild slider, a tender, and fry combo. I loved that the chicken wasn't breaded. Instead it seemed like it had an awesome dry rub. Mine kicked some serious keister! Spicy food is my jam, for sure! It had a little bit of some kale slaw, and pickles to top it that worked really well. And the fries portion was just right. My husband loved his noms, too. I don't even know where to start! First of all, the kid at the register cannot see through his dreadlocks. Keeps swinging them back-and-forth to put them in his face and suddenly swings them back so he can see through one eye. Secondly, he does not talk loud enough to explain what I could possibly order. And I have really good hearing! I asked him how I would know when my order was ready, he said he would call me. I was concerned about hearing him due to the high vaulted ceilings and the screaming Baby in the background, he assured me he would find me. When they started to call numbers after mine, I went up and saw that mine had been sitting on the counter. The Daves special sauce that comes with your chicken comes in an oversized ketchup packet, not a dipping container. Three of their regular ketchup packets are not enough for one order of fries. They have no salt. The dining room is so hot that people are scrambling to find the coolest section to sit in. I said I would return due to my initial experience with Dave's. And I have to preface my review just by saying "Wow!". Whereas the first time I tried the chicken which seemed to contain a week's worth of salt, this time it was SO much better. I once again got combo #3, a slider + tender combo with cheese on my fries ( which they forgot the first time I was there). This time around, the chicken was seasoned perfectly! The fries were still good as the first time albeit with cheese this time. I actually enjoyed and finished my meal this time! Being it a work day I chose mild since I'm not taking any risks. Variety is the fruit of life so I went with the combination number 3 where you get a chicken tender and a slider with fries. Drinks aren't included in the combination here. The food took about 40 mins as it seemed like a busy dinner hour here but I'm patient so it never bothers me. Once the food came out, I equipped myself with the Dave's sauce, honey and some hot sauce for condiments. The chicken was extremely salty, to a point it almost made my stomach hurt instantly and I love extra salt and seasoning. Maybe it was just the day I went but that level of salt hurt. The chicken itself was tender and well prepared. The pickles added a good contrast to the extremely saltiness but it still wasn't enough even with honey added to the chicken. Kudos to making the chicken very tender and juicy though. They might have been short on employees because the tables were all dirty and sticky but these are fixable things. So, I figured it was time for me to see what the hype was about. I ordered the number 1 on the menu which was the 2 tenders. When it came out, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the chicken tenders. It was definitely larger than the ones they have at Canes. The chicken itself was pretty juicy and well seasoned. The tenders came with 2 slices of bread and the bread was basically white sandwich bread. I wasn't the biggest fan of this. I wish they would've done something to enhance the bread, so in my opinion that was a missed opportunity. Overall I feel like this is the place to go to if you're craving some spicy chicken. Food: the chicken was fresh and the taste was really good, we got Dave's #2 which comes with two chicken sandwiches and a side of fries. Honestly, you can share it because the portion is big. I asked to get it extra crispy/well done, the cashier didn't know that they can do it and when he asked they said yes we have that option. Location: (interior and design) They don't have enough chairs inside and outside you just have to stand by your car to eat. Interior design is nice and fun. It's juicy, crispy yet not greasy, delicious and perfectly fried. You'll be a big fan if you love heat as they have a good selection of heat levels to pick from. Wanted to give this place another try, walked in on a Saturday at 1:20 order was not taken until 140 order was delivered at 2:20 and was given incorrect. I asked them to change the order, they actually charged me the difference because I lost my receipt. Took the food back. Took another 20 minutes to give me the same food back cold. The place generally is very dirty we have to clean our own table, and then wait for 40 minutes to give the food back. We gave her food back and got our money back. The funniest part is as soon as they run your card, they make it clear that they're fishing for tips. I don't mind tipping if the service and food is reasonable, I do when the service is horrible, and the food is even worse. I've already contacted management to let them know. read more

Unfortunately, we don't know the name of the magnificent employee who took and gave us our order, but that man was the most positive, ray of sunshine we have ever met. Based on our receipt, it was either Carlos T or Misael C who was this ray of sunshine. We felt that he tried to give us the best order possible. We asked for coke and he told us to consider the other flavors like cherry or vanilla. AND we did not even have to ask for extra sauce, he made sure we got it. Went through the drive thru to get my meal. Aside from it taking about 15min+ to get my food upon ordering it, it didn't include the sauce that I specifically requested from the person taking my order. When they reaffirmed my order at the window, they still didn't give me any sauce. Why does this matter? Cause I paid for the meal to come with the sauce since it's what I wanted to eat with the chicken since it's a little on the drier side. Didn't realize this until I got home. Voice box is full, so good luck trying to call in to file a complaint. Hell, no one picked up either, so that's fun. Had to drive all the way back to get my sauce and when trying to explain the situation, they threw the sauce at me trying to get me to leave before I could explain anything. At this point, they didn't even know what sauce I wanted and more or less left me with the sauce packet area. I guess it's self service despite it not being busy inside, but whatever. Now the food is cold because of this trip and I'm like 90% sure that if I even go back to eat here, I'm going to have to triple check everything. PS. While I live about a mile from the store in Lakewood, we found that another store was 2 miles from our hotel near the theme park, so we plugged the coordinates into the GPS and off we went.
