I wanted something different and I'm GLAD I chose this place!! The staff was AWESOME I wasn't familiar with the menu and their sauces so they let me taste a sample of the sauce and the kale slaw...they were EXCELLENT in their role. The food was SO GOOD!!! I kept saying with each bite "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm" It wasn't spicy just how i like it (they have other spice levels for the people that like spice) they made my FIRST experience with them a GREAT ONE! My first time ever @ a Dave's hot chicken place. I was definitely pleased. I got a #3 which came w/ a tender, a slider and fries. I choose the temperature to be HOT and let me just say it was hot but, just right. I would definitely like to try mild and with the hell with it the "reaper" just so I can say I tried it. Lol. I wanna start the off by saying Dave's is my favorite chicken spot by far. They make delicious spicy chicken that I can't get anywhere else, and I crave their food almost exclusively when I want a chicken sandwich. That being said, the employees are ruining that enjoyment. There's no reason an online order ahead should take over an hour to complete. Employees are unhelpful and won't alert you when your order is finally ready either, even if you've been sitting inside waiting for 30+ minutes. They sit on their phones and chat amongst themselves instead of actually making an effort to do their jobs. They'll outright ignore you if you let them. I love the food, but it's not worth the aggravation anymore. You'll get better service from the KFC across the street. read more

Came in to a practically empty restaurant, ordered two dave's #1 mild and medium. We waited 20 minutes before we asked where our order was as everyone else was served and had left. they said they "bumped" our order and remade it...wrong. 20 MINUTES LATER they handed me ONE tender HOT. they then asked for our receipt, LOST it and then canceled the order and gave us a refund..but kept our tip. we left frustrated and hungry. The restaurant is very clean and nice inside, I've only been here two times but the staff has been really nice both times. The menu may seem small but it's simple and straight to the point, the chicken sliders were perfectly crunchy and everything inside the slider was good, the fries were yummy and the mac n cheese is super good as well. My family and I are Dave's fans. I like getting the #1 which comes with two tenders on a slice of toast each. I like the extra hot spice level. I pour honey on it and dip it in Dave's sauce. My husband likes to get the sliders. It's great that there are seven spice levels. You can get a tender with no spice. My five year old loves it and asks for Dave's often. Check this place out. I'm Mexican so the fact they have levels to spicyness, I love that. I personally like hot because I get to enjoy spicy like I like but not have a runny nose because when it's too spicy I can't enjoy either but like I said I like spicy so it's perfect . The no spice flavor was nice as well maybe try the light mild if you want a little spice. Food rating? 4/5 Customer service rating? 0-1/5 Several less than pleasant experiences. Sign on door said facial covering required. I happen to favor face coverings in public during the pandemic and wear mine faithfully. On this occasion my mask straps broke off so I held the face covering completely over my mouth and nose. There was no one in line at the moment, literally. The only other customers present were dine-in customers already eating. I asked the cashier if I could place a take-out order and she said I need a mask. I said I am holding it over my face and can wait outside for the food if she liked. The cashier said that's not allowed and would not take my order. Ridiculously disappointing customer service in my opinion. Another instance we were told that there was a discount for people who work in uniformed roles, such as police, fire, health care. I work in this role and showed them my badge from work, and they said the discount is only given if I show up wearing the uniform. I work in health care and we don't wear dirty work scrubs out of the hospital. So I didn't get the discount. Don't really need the discount but that response was not cool. Few other experiences were not cool either but I'll stop here right now. Food is pretty good, I give it 4/5 when they get the order correct (twice I got spicy when I ordered mild).
