Glad they brought a location to the AV, first time trying Daves was in the valley and I was hooked ever since. Glad to say the same quality is carried over. The staff was very kind, when we ordered our food we also got free beanie's, stickers and tattoos. My order was messed up as I order 2 sliders not tenders how ever the incredible staff immediately fixed my order and gave me a whole other combo free of charge. I went to the Lancaster Dave's Hot Chicken (10th St. W and Ave K) this past Wednesday (10/18/23). My oral surgeon's office recommended them to me. SO glad he did because the service, food, and the "feel" of the place was great. Jose R took my order -- super nice guy and very helpful! I got the #3 with the medium spice level. It was perfect! Such a cute place. Love the art work on the walls. It had some random areas of emptiness in there but it was still a vibe. Menu is simple and to the point. Love how you can choose the level of heat. Overall, the food was good..not the best I've ever had. The dry seasoning is a little overwhelming. The sliders were perfect in size, not tiny like I thought it would be. This place is pretty chill with modern art vibes on the wall. Plenty of room to dine in line goes pretty quick. Simple menu kinda like In-N-Out. The food looked so good here and we were excited to try it. There did seem to be a number of, rather impatient customers waiting for their food. In the roughly ten minutes we were there, not a single order was called. Now for the insanity... When we approached the register to order, the young lady asked if we had masks. We said no and she offered to try and find us some. We politely declined, then she informed us that a mask was required to order. My first time visiting this location and it's very nice and spacious. Had Dave's Hot Chicken previously and this tasted nothing like the chicken I had from the LA location. I asked for HOT and got no spice from it AT ALL. Not even a slight burn which was very disappointing. Flavor was okay. Not worth the money though. One of the best hot chicken spots! I'm so glad we got one of these in the AV. They offer different levels of heat so you can find whatever your preference is. I ordered mild, one sandwich and one tender. Even though it was mild, the chicken still had great flavor and just enough spice to give a little kick without being too spicy. Was taking my first RV trip & had put a sub shop in my GPS, it took me to Dave's Hot Chicken instead. I was initially pissed, but then realized a hot chicken sando was just what I wanted. I had never heard of Dave's and now I'm slightly pissed I do know - damn that was a great sandwich. Hot...juicy...flavors were on point, the pickles and slaw, delish! Worst Dave's I've ever been to. Waited almost an hour to get my food to dine in and it once I got the food while the fries were nice and hot, the sandwich was cold and wasn't appetizing once I tasted the cold cheese.
