We've passed Dave's Hot Chicken a few times and I've been itching to try it so Wednesday night we decided to stop in. I ordered the two slider meal. The cashier let me get two sauces, on one each slider. One hot and the other extra hot. The order took some time to come up. Once it did, while the platter was labeled hot and extra hot, there was no way to tell which sandwich was which sauce. Both tasted great. I would not call them sliders as they were very large. The chicken overhangs a bun somewhere in between a slider and a regular bun. They give you more than enough pickles on the sandwich and on the side. While the sauce was spicy, I had no issues eating both sandwiches with little more than a runny nose. Oh... but it got worse. At about 3am my stomach bloated and I had to rush to the bathroom. It was clear that dinner had made its appearance by the heat. I started feeling delirious and sweating profusely. When eating the chicken it was definitely hot, but not this intensity. Where do I start? I mean, just a terrible representation of Dave's. It's a shame, because most locations are good, this one is just outright terrible. I just had loaded fries and this will be the last time I come to this location. There were 4 pieces of chicken nuggets and basically no coleslaw. More over there was barely any sauce and everything was ice cold. I'm assuming the chicken was cooked and left out until they prepared my order. Last time I'll be going to this place. First off the first two times I did go the "dining" room was dirty but brushed it off. I ordered three combos and I ask for ranch. First time doing this even though I had this prior. Person at cash counter tells me they don't have any. I brushed that off. Daves Hot Chicken is always soo good to me. From hospitality down to the taste. The chicken is always crispy, yet juicy. The environment is welcoming and the employees are always quick to welcome you in and assist you with any questions regarding the food and menu. Whenever I'm in the area it is mandatory to stop here for some grub. I usually stay in the middle areas for spiciness just because it's more enjoyable for me. The breading is well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The aoli they provide, the extra sauce is so tasty I love it with my crispy crinkle cut fries! Today, Micheal helped me out at the cash register and even gave me a reason to get a free drink by putting in an honest review. The chicken is outstanding. It's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with huge pieces. It was extremely hot, we ordered the hot flavored tenders but I swear they one upped it. We love spicy stuff and were cool with it though. The girl who took my order was very nice and helpful. However, the inside of the restaurant was very dimly lit and crowded inside. Nobody knew where to stand or how to form a line apparently and the staff was too busy to care. The person at the counter bagging things up was screaming order numbers at the top of her lungs and it was off-putting. I paid for an extra pint of Dave's sauce and she didn't put it in the bag or bother to check. I was in too much of a rush to check the bag for her and live too far to drive back. Didn't know there was a Dave's Hot Chicken in town until we drove by. Figured we'd give it a try and I'm glad we did. We ordered the #3 which is one tender, one slider, and fries. We also ordered a side of Mac and Cheese and bottled drinks. They were out of carbonation for fountain drinks tonight. We chose a medium spice level. The flavor was good but there wasn't much spice so next time I'll have to try not. The chicken has nice flavor and I also enjoyed the fries. The sauce that comes on the sliders was delicious. They also offer extra sauce packets if you wish. I highly recommend getting extra because it's great for dipping the fries and tenders in. The Mac and cheese hit the spot and deserves two thumbs up! The restaurant was busy but service was great. I liked the use of rubber chickens everywhere, including one hiding in the fire extinguisher box. The decor is on par with something I'd expect from this type of restaurant. Overall I was satisfied and can't wait to visit again in the near figure. read more

They are super familiar with the menu. I've also noticed that the restaurant is always very clean. I've never sat down at a table here that was sticky or gross, which unfortunately happens quite a bit at other places. Now to the food, the chicken is delicious. I recommend that if it's your first time trying, try the mild or if you're getting the tenders, you can ask to do a few mild and one medium to get an idea of the spice levels. Have ate there a couple times and the food has been consistently good and fresh. The times I have gone though I have waited about 35 minutes for my order to be ready. My last visit I asked a gentleman who seemed to be the manager if that wait time was normal (so I can plan on ordering ahead of time online) and I feel I received a negative response and attitude. The service is top notch I just want to give Morgan a shout out she made sure my family's food was fresh and hot and even threw in a free milkshake for a mistake on the order.
