Literally so disappointed in the service here. After a long day traveling to a funeral and an emergency urgent care visit all we wanted was some good food. They were clearly too busy and extremely understaffed. My husband ordered pizza with no veggies and after 45 minutes of waiting they brought it out with bell peppers. When we informed them it was wrong they came back 5 min later with the same pizza and "some" of the peppers picked off. We happened to have a manager come by our table and when we asked her if she was a manager she said "one of them, why" in a rude condescending tone. When we informed her of the pizza mishap she said she would take it and fix it. But by this time we were starving and just wanted to eat and go especially after her attitude. She argued and said "you complained, I'm TRYING TO FIX IT" we just asked for our bill so we could leave because we were treated so terribly. Our waitress, the bus person, another manager and her completely avoided our table as we attempted to flag them down after 20 minutes with still... no check. We won't be back we don't deserve this in such a nice establishment. read more

We walk here 2x per month for bfast because kids eat free and it's a nice atmosphere. We really want to like this place because its so close and convenient. My biggest issue is the poor service. I think we have been there 6 times in last 3 months and have had a different server each time. They were all below average and one even seemed hung over and annoyed o be working. We usually have to send check back because they over charge for something. The food is just average but the prices are on high side. I don't mind paying for nice atmosphere and convenience, but the food needs to match. I really hope they improve because we enjoy walking there. read more

Indoor or outdoor dining with golf course views. Nice selection of appetizers and entrees...from salads to burgers to seafood and steaks. Kitchen closes at 9pm, earlier than most. Worth a try, prices on the higher side... $13 burgers...use that as your barometer. read more

I am usually pleased when I stop in here to get food. The service is always great. I have dined in several times and have ordered take out. Either way, the wait staff is always smiling and pleasant. The specials are usually really unique and delicious. Their burgers are big and mouthwatering. My wife likes the chicken piccata dish. That is almost always her go to. I have done pasta, burgers, and pizza here. All were good, although I probably wouldn't get pizza again. Their ranch dressing is very tasty though. Do a burger, you won't be disappointed. read more

So disappointed in Davids. I took our entire family here for Father's Day. We made reservations ahead and when we arrived, were very surprised to see it so empty on a holiday and Sunday brunch time... until we experienced the poor service and bland food. They had a Fathers Day brunch menu which had little to choose from. After putting our order in at 9:15, food didn't arrive until 10! By this time, we were all starving and the kids were bouncing off the walls. The food was just okay, pretty bland actually. Not worth the wait or money. We would have been better off waiting at Peggs for a much tastier meal. I now understand why the restaurant was so empty...... Such a bummer as this place has beautiful atmosphere. read more

I've been here twice now while visiting my sister from out of town. The food is delicious. I've had eggs Benedict and a classic burger and fries. My sister always loves her food as well. It has a classic sports theme with lots of cool memorabilia. The staff is very attentive and friendly and they are very kid friendly. read more

Went to David's Grill tonight for dinner and to watch a friends band. When we arrived we were told that they were sold out tonight. I said that we were there for dinner and for the band. And we were told they couldn't help us. We saw several open tables but were told they were reserved. They told us this in a very condescending manner. They really made us feel like they could care less for our business. With that kind of service, don't worry David's, we won't be back. read more

My mom and I went here the other night and we did not have the best experience. There was a huge party that had just sat down before us that seemed to mess up their whole system. My mom and I ordered an appetizer and our meals and our meal came out before the appetizer ever did. We also had several waiters and waitresses come up and ask if we wanted bread and each time we said yes but the bread was never brought to us. Our meal was very good, but the service that was provided took away from how good the meal was. My dad golfs here every week for the Talon club and after this experience, none of us will be returning to eat at Davids. read more

Davids recently changed executive chefs, in an attempt to modernize things I suppose. What occurred was a half assed attempt at fancy-ing up a neighborhood grill. Things may improve but my self and the rest of my residential compatriots all feel that a clear slide has taken place. Don't get me started on the new breakfast menu... David's Grill offers a nice food selection, a full bar, nice environment, and views of the golf course right from your table. We've had a number of selections from their menu, mostly breakfast items, and all have been well prepared and very tasty. Recently though, we discovered the Chorizo Burger. Why did it take me so long to find this gem?!? Yum!! On this visit, we reserved the "Mayor's Room". This is a private room that comfortably seats eight and costs nothing to reserve. A neat little room for a private party, or in our case, a business meeting complete with food and drinks. The only reason they don't get the fifth star is that their service can be a little slow at times. read more

I understand that David's Grill has had their ups and downs since opening but in my estimation they are doing an amazing job in service and quality. I have dined at David's regularly for about six months, and I have not had a bad meal or anything but excellent service by the most personable staff ever. In this world where good customer service is sometimes difficult to find, the staff at David's makes a point to get to know you and treat you as though you're special. We went to Davids Grill on a referral. Never got the chance to taste the food. My friend called earlier in the day and made a reservation for 6:00 pm on a Saturday for 3 people. When we showed up the place was really busy, however my friend went to the hostess and made sure they had her reservation. She was told they needed to clean a table and we would be seated. Twenty minutes went by, and she asked the hostess again and was told they were just getting a table cleared. When they called us, we went walking through the main dining room and was led to a larger room in the back with no people. I told the hostess I felt like we are being punished in a large room all by ourselves. She said if they get another table, they will move us. When the waiter came, we each ordered a drink then we all decided this was NOT ACCEPTABLE since we had a reservation for 6:00 pm was looking forward to dinner and now placed in a room that was a back room for large parties and was in disarray. We drank what we could of our drinks then got up and left. My friend went to pay and as I walked by the hostess, I stated we will not be back. Also, on the way out I passed an empty table with 4 chairs. I guess they really don't care if we would have stayed or not. This place is not worth my time or money! read more

So disappointing. We have been trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt for years. At one point my mother and I ordered the same exact food prepared in the same way. Mine was clearly sitting under a heat lamp which completely overcooked the flank steak. Today we ordered takeout and the $10 nachos looked like they were served at a carnival stand with a huge glob of sour cream in the middle of the chips. The tacos were flavorless . We also ordered the "Back Nine Burger." It was rare (asked for it medium). It is supposed to come with pepper Jack cheese and no cheese was on the burger. The bacon jam was clumped off to one side of the burger. The sweet potato fries were severely undercooked and inedible. It is clear that no care or attention was given to this order. Each time we leave disappointed especially for the price of the food. Don't waste your time ! It may be hard for the business to digest this, but so was the food. read more

I live only a few miles from David's and that has been the only plus. 75% of the time spent there the food has been lousy. Staff is friendly but slow. I do not plan on returning. * tried it one last time today. The place was dead. No hostess. Had to grab the bar tender to seat us. The first time my husband took me to David's Grill for breakfast, I thought this is great. I liked the modern atmosphere, it was close to our home, the staff seemed pleasant, we could have our meal outside, and the menu had a nice variety from which to choose. I was wrong. We've been to this restaurant several times and they can't get our orders correct. We've been served the incorrect order, food not done according to our order, and often they either are completely short on staff or they are S-L-O-W. We spoke to the manager after our first disappointing visit with the poor service and she made it right for us on a subsequent visit. We gave this place a few more tries and were still disappointed, so we have stopped going to this restaurant. We don't go out to spend a significant amount of money and leave disappointed. I really wish this place could get their act together. read more

I live a couple of blocks away and come here often. The food is hit or miss, and unfortunately usually a miss. Well tonight was a total whiff. I ordered my go to dish (chicken piccata), which 90% of the time, pretty good. However, tonight it flat out sucked! It came out more like a noodle Caesar salad with chicken breast jerky atop. Seriously, it was pretty bad (see attached pic). However, the service was great (as usual). It's because of the service that I keep returning. Hopefully there will be more hits in the future, because I do like the location and bar staff (Judy, Courtney and Kelsey rock). The one weird thing they have started doing is pouring the wine into little shot glass type things, then dumping that into the wine glass.. kind of cheesy and "chain restaurant" like. I consider this place more of a neighborhood bar/restaurant, so pour your customers a healthy glass of wine and stop being cheap! That's all I have to say about this place. read more

Stopped by for breakfast and sat on patio. Our waitress was friendly and made some great recommendations. Food was fast and delicious.

Since I live in the neighborhood. .I tried it again..Great wait staff...horrible Mushroom Ravioli in "cream" sauce which wasn't fit for human consumption. Just stick with the bar food. I wish this place could get it together for the prices they are charging. I think they need an intervention from Chef Ramsey or Restaurant Impossible. read more

David's has been hit or miss since the Peppermill assumed management. Tonight was a huge miss. The mixed greens in the salad were a facade for the pile of iceberg underneath. We all ordered medium rare prime rib, and it was AWFUL! Over cooked, dried out and no flavor. Baked potato that had been baked three days in a row. We told the server about this, and she didn't seem to care. Asked the server to tell the manager, and they offered us free dessert. Sadly, the creme brûlée was soupy and not very good. We will seriously have to debate returning here, and we just live around the corner. read more

We had just finished playing golf and most of the time nice resort golf courses have good food. Well, this was not the case. First we stood there for a while before someone acknowledged us to be seated. The food sounds great on the menu. However, it does live up to the wonderful descriptions. The service is not good. Worst service ever! Our waiter did not come back one time. Almost 2 full hours for the full unacceptable experience. I even had to go to the bar to get my own refill of iced tea, asked for another cup of ice and the waitress set the glass down next to the iced tea. (for me to fill it). No apologies, no "sorry the food is taking so long" by the way, it was cold when we got it. No concessions until we told them we weren't paying for the sandwich (BLT) with BLACK bacon. Never had a problem with the food or service. The place is very nicely decorated and looks more upscale than it actually is. The outside patio is a great place for outdoor dinning. Not many places in the area offer such a great outdoor experience. The food is casual american fare with some nice twists on classic dishes. Over all a great place for a good meal. read more

Well let me start by saying that the bus girl who was the highlight of the evening with her attention to details despite the fact she was smacking her gum is the only reason I'm giving this disaster of a experience 2 stars. The manager that allowed our untrained waiter to serve us should be slapped on the paws and I say paws because he/she runs a dog of a restaurant. An untrained waiter made the experience worse when my simple request of blue cheese crumbles on the side were delivered with a "by the way those are 50 cents extra" wow on a golf course please. Moving on to the main course/disaster, 2 of my guests ordered the filet 1 mid rare 1 mid. When our waiter presented our entries to the table 1 had a red pick in it indicating It to be the more rare of the two. Our waiter presented the wrong dishes to each party resisting my subtle suggestion as to the of the meaning of the picks. Both were cooked wrong and the insultls doesn't stop there to sear a filet to the point of crustiness is a crime in its own "hello chef wake the u know what up" really what it boils down to is laziness of upper management I can't blame this on the staff I start from the top. read more
