My son just recently purchased a new car at Davis Chevrolet after loosing his car in the recent floods. Davis dealer had some incentives but when it came to the finance they really took him to the cleaners charging him a 6.7% interest rate on a new car. He had 4.9% on the used car he lost in the flood. In my option this finance department just took complete advance of a young man that didn't know any better that there are businesses out there that will swindle you any way possible! read more

They completely replaced my transmission free of charge under Chevy's 100K power train warranty (I was just a few hundred miles short) without any bother or questions. They were nice and courteous, made the repairs in a reasonable time, and even covered a few days of rental car for me. When I had issues (loud banging noises) a week later because the torque was simply too tight, I brought it in and they immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem and I was on my way again. I only give them 4 stars because I feel I may have been lucky that everything was covered under warranty and it would have quickly gone south if that had not been the case. It was unfortunate that I had first gone to Demo's, who didn't mention the warranty and instead took out my transmission, pressured me to buy a new one, and then charged me $1000 to put it back in. But I have nothing bad to say about Davis Chevrolet. Thanks, guys! read more

I'm so mad I could scream! I dropped my car off at 6:30 this morning! I called yesterday to make an appointment. I used the shuttle service so that my car can be detailed while I'm at work. I was told it would be be done by 3 p.m. I called at 3:15 (after it taking roughly 10 minutes of transferring from one person to the next to get to someone) when I hadn't heard from anyone to check on the status and when I could expect to be picked up. I was told it would take another hour because they were doing a full detail. I said ok that's fine. I asked how would I know when it's done and if they would call me. I was told yes and no one ever did. I called again at 4:30 to check on the status. I literally stayed on hold for 30 minutes and hung up and called again. When I called the next time I was transferred more than 3 times just to check on the status of my car for a detail! I was told it "should" be ready. Never got back to for it to be confirmed. I finally reached someone at 5:40 p.m. all for them to say that I should have talked to someone and there's nothing they can do until tomorrow. I was even told to make sure I have my payment tomorrow. The level of disrespect is surreal. My call log is riddled with calls to this dealership's service department and not one to me. I have a total of 1 hr 26 minutes and 32 seconds of wait time to attempt to get MY car. I'm currently on hold with corporate with no transportation and no safe way to pick up my niece. I have never experienced such poor customer service in any type of industry. They didn't even attempt to make any accommodation. They didn't even call the driver. They gave me the number to call. Now I'm forced to get a taxi with a stranger and grateful to the summer camp instructor for allowing my niece to stay with her until I can get a car. I will never visit this dealership again and am questioning if I ever want to deal with Chevrolet after something of this magnitude. read more

Amazing! I always feel like I have won when I deal with this dealership, we all started with Miki Onu selling one car to one person and the whole family only gets cars from here. Now the service, hands down is the BEST EVER! Especially Justin, Justin goes out of his way to do the BEST job that he can do! HE is simply pleasant to deal with under unfortunate circumstances. In life I know that people drop the ball, but looking at this dealership - it pales well to my expectations! 2013 Chevrolet Traverse. Me and my wife set out on that day to visit 4 or 5 dealerships that we researched the previous night. Needless to say as we set out Davis Chevrolet was our first stop and only stop. We ended up buying our 2013 Chevrolet Traverse after Sales Consultant-Marvin Whitfield who did an outstanding job of providing everything we asked for of him through the process. Had it not been for him we would have went on to the next dealership to look for a better deal. Also, Finance Manager-Jason Clark did an outstanding job of getting better financing deal for me. I was not satisfied with my most recent experience at Davis Chevy. I am not sure if I will be returning despite the location being almost walking distance from my home. I brought my car in because it was making a vibrating sensation when traveling at low speeds on the highway. I was called and notified that the multi point inspection was completed and nothing was found wrong. When I asked what was found to be the cause of the vibration which is why I brought it in, my agent didn't know and said they would call me back. Fast forward I had to call because I hadn't heard anything and I was told I needed new tires, fluid refilled, alignment, etc. etc. I don't know much about cars so I trust that when I pay hundreds on hundreds of dollars for repairs you all know what you are talking about and have fixed the problem. My agent told me they could wash the car and vaccum the car for me as well. I come to pick up the car. The car has not been vaccumed so I had to sit and wait for 30 minutes. I get in my car and drive home which is around the corner, so I didn't have much road time. I drive my car the next day, now I have the engine vibration at rest which is new. So I call my agent and Im like okay now after paying all this money I have another problem. What is going on? Did no nobody check the car to verify it was working properly?? So now I am late to work because I have to drop my car off again. At that time I tell my agent and the driver that I have to go out of town and need a ride to the airport at a certain time from my job. I am reassured that it is no problem. As I can't drive to the airport bc my car is back in the shop. Fast forward I don't hear from my agent at all that day, and I call to get an update on my car and I am told because the check engine light is not on and the system says the engine is running fine I am going to have to wait until the check engine light comes on before they can figure out what is causing the vibration. That makes absolutely NO SENSE as the check engine light wasn't on when I brought in for the same problem when going low speeds on the highway. So now I trust anything my agent is saying and I feel like y'all had me pay for all these 'repairs' and alignments and front tires and fluids etc etc just to get my money. I asked to be transferred to the shuttle driver, i am told by my agent i need to write the number down because he can't do that. So now yall can't even tranfer to phone numbers? I call the shuttle driver repeatedly for 30 minutes and I can not get anyone to pick up the phone. I call the service people back and explain how frustrated I am and that now I have no ride to the airport and they were like there is nothing I can do. Seriously?? Now I have to call uber and pay $30 for a ride to the airport (the uber got lost and I came 30 seconds short of missing my flight) to a funeral fooling with Davis Chevy. I don't want to have that agent handle my service there ever again, and I highly doubt I will come back. My experience was just poor all around. Then of course I had to call uber to take be back from the airport so I basically wasted $60 additional dollars trusting this dealership to fix my car. I am in a rush, so that may have not been the clearest explanation of my experience at your dealership but bottom line I don't trust what y'all are telling me about my car nor did I receive the excellent customer service I expect when spending hundreds of dollars ($800) . It was one problem after a next that proved to be a HUGE inconvenience. read more

I had my car in for the following issues: 1) oil change and tire rotation, 2) 100K mile tune-up, 3) fix coolant leak, and 4) fix power locks. I certainly understand this is a large number of items to address. I made an appointment and provided my car to the service adviser at 8am on Tuesday November 28th. By 11:14am the service adviser called me and indicated the issues with the door locks and I provided my ok for a partial repair estimated at about $750. He didn't indicate that they wouldn't be completed on Tuesday. I didn't hear about the coolant leak fix so called at about 4pm and was told they didn't have a diagnosis yet. The service adviser also indicated they had just received the parts for the door locks and they would be finished until Wednesday and he'd work to get them complete by 9am. i asked if I could at least have a diagnosis on the coolant leak by cob on tuesday. He called me at 4;30pm and provided a diagnosis and I authorized a $450 repair. On Wednesday I heard nothing so about 3pm called but could only leave a message for the adviser. I did finally receive a call back about 4:15pm after I had left a message for the service manager alos because I hadn't heard back in over an hour and wanted to pick up the car. On the call back the service adviser indicated the door locks still hadn't been completed and I was advised it would happen some time Thursday. I had no confidence that would happen and was tired of dealing with not having a vehicle so I picked up the vehicle incomplete. The experience was disappointing because of two factors; 1) I wan't provided any information on repair timing that was dependable (more on this later) and I had to call and ask and when I did I received incomplete information (the service adviser obviously didn't have complete information), and 2) after two days with a vehicle I still hadn't gotten the items repaired. Obviously one of two things happened with the door lock repair or maybe both 1) I was low on the totem pole of importance and other jobs requiring certain mechanic skills were done ahead of mine, or 2) the service department is so disorganized they couldn't keep track of the jobs and mine got lost. I don't believe that it is because they had a backlog two days long or I would have been advised Tuesday morning when the adviser called with the diagnosis. The experience has sealed the fate of gm products in my garage. As a life long driver of gm products including a 69 chevrolet belair (used), a 81 chevette (new), a 84 celebrity (new), a 85 buick somerset (new), a 86 STE (new), a 88 Bonneville (new), a 97 grand am (new), a 04 gran prix (new), a 08 gran prix (new). While I was considering a cadillac purchase in the near future i'm done with gm. I recognize corporate doesn't run the dealership. However, the dealerships are the front line in customer experience. There are one or more apples within Davis that need to be eliminated to improve the customer experience. I know the service adviser wasn't calling the shots so he is not the problem. It may be the service manager who neglected to return my call. If it was my dealership and this report came to me action would occur (personnel would be reprimanded and/or fired because treating customers like this can't be anyone's policy). I get that there could be a queue but there wasn't in my case because i was never provided any information. Someone was either incompetent, playing favorites or both. That is unacceptable. If I was GM corporate I'd take the same action as if I was the owner. I doubt anything will happen in this case and I will take my own action. read more

Brad is an awful customer service rep who lies and is untrustworthy. I dropped my car off and told him i had a leak in one of my tires. He noticed my other tire also had nails in it. I told him I have road hazard protection for my tires and he would have to call the company to submit a claim. He said that the company would most likely deny my claim because my tires were worn. I told him I understood that it was a possibility but to try anyway. I also told him if the company denied my claim, I would pay for the tires out of pocket but I would need to know the price. I left my car at 2pm and did not hear from him with an update. I called him at 4:15pm and he said he was still working on it. I waited until 5:30pm to get a ride back to the dealer since they close at 6pm. The cashier called him over the loud speaker and said "customer waiting". 30 minutes passed and he still did not show up. A technician had to go call him. When I finally spoke to him he said "unfortunately, the company denied your claim" I said ok, how much will the tires cost if I pay out of pocket? He responded with "I think it will be $337. I'm not too sure but I can get the tires here tomorrow" which gives me the impression that he never looked into it. I told him that I was not able to go in the next day since I work all week. As I was leaving the dealership, I called my tire protection company to ask if the technician call about my claim. HE NEVER CALLED THE COMPANY AND LIED TO MY FACE ABOUT IT!!! My claim was still open and was not denied because he never called them. If he did not have time to call, I would have appreciated honesty than to be lied to. I took my car to DISCOUNT TIRE where the technician called the company and they APPROVED one tire not both. Brad is a liar and untrustworthy. read more

I made appointment for 6am, mechanics dont start till 8 why is there a 6am slot? So didnt start working on my car til at least 8. I tried to cancel and leave but the rep said it would be just a few min at 815. My car wasn't done till 10. I'm not going back there again. Your too slow, your ignorant and your liars. I'm sure any local place can rotate tires and change oil in less than 4 hours. There was a recall they were suppose to fix, but even with that, I should have been done within an hour. read more

I worked with Kara, she is always nice and professional! However, the first day I was there for 4-5 hours just to find out what was wrong with my car, that is horrible. This is a major GM dealership in Houston, who should hire reinforcements and expand the garage! You all aren't cheap at all, and I can't say that the service is worth what we're paying, as I know personally that there are far better options out there. However, you are the closest to me when my car acts up while driving. Also, it seems that every time you have 'allegedly' fixed my car after thousands of dollars, not 2 weeks later I am back for the same issue or a worse one. I'm not accusing but I wonder if the technicians (not Kara :)), are doing their jobs correctly or are causing more issues on purpose, sad to say, but I've seen this happen before. Then again, they could be tired or hungry, but that's not on the customers, I pay too much money to have to come back for the same issue or a worse one immediately after repair. Time management is very important, as well as taking necessary breaks, so I would encourage management to ensure that their staff is doing both in order to perform their duties effeciently. Now my car is having power sterling issues, the same common issue that was supposed to be fixed in the last recal, which I guess wasn't, and GM, has yet to issue another recall, and Davis Chevrolet should advocate for this on behalf of all GM buyers. Thank God it didn't shut off on me while I was on the freeway, or else I would be dead! read more

I've purchased 2 vehicles (2014 Malibu and Camaro) from this dealership and my overall experience with the sell team (Ricky) was great. However my experiences with the service department is not so great. I bought my Malibu in for an oil change on 9/23 and was told that they could not accommodate me because they were very busy and I needed an appointment or it would take about 3-4 hours. I was there at 7:35am about the 8th vehicle in line. I have made only one appointment since I've owned the car. I've never been told that before and always got an oil change without an appointment in about 1 1/2 hours max. not to mention that the service rep went to the vehicle behind me first. When he noticed me looking at him in my side mirror and did he acknowledge me.I moved to the other side of the service center to make a call to Aamco (1377 S Loop W, Houston, TX 77054) down the street to see if I could get an oil change and was told absolutely. Before I left off of the property I watched several more vehicles including the one that was behind me check into service. I guess they(4) all had appointments. I went to Aamco and received an oil change and service inspection in an hour or so. I will be taking my Chevrolets 96 C1500 truck, 2014 Camaro and Malibu to them from now on for service. I will be making next purchase (Impala) at Munday Chevrolet. Bye Davis you don't need my purchases and I don't need your service. read more

I took my 2009 Pontiac g8 to Davis Chevrolet on 6-22-15. The service advisor was Mark Kitchens. I informed him that i had a recall on my ignition keys, i needed an oil change and the gas pedal was sticking. He was very arrogant and nonchalant. I should have followed my first mind and taken my car to Classic Chevrolet. After 4 days on 6-26-15, Mark called my brother and told him that everything was finished except for the gas pedal. He gave my brother an outrageous price for a sensor that was suppose to correct the problem. My brother refused, Mark stated that he was going to have the car washed and that he would called back. But after 4 hours, without a call back, we went to pick up my car. Upon arrival at the service dept. my brother informed Mark that a friend of his who is a certified mechanic stated that a sensor was not the reason for the sticking gas pedal. So Mark replied, "Why didnt you take it to your friend?" We looked at each other and could not believe that this person represented a company that prides itself in customer satisfaction. This was very, very unprofessional and uncalled for. We quickly left his office, disgusted. I paid my bill and waited for my car that had not been washed. When I arrived home, I noticed that my ignition keys had not been changed due to the recall. I looked on my invoice and it stated that the part that I needed was out of stock and had to be reordered. Frustrated I Davis Chevrolet and asked to speak to anyone except Mark. After 2 transfers, I was still connected to Mark. I told him about the problem, and he simply stated, " I didnt know." I slammed down the phone and vowed never to patronize Davis Chevrolet again. As a service advisor Mark Kitchens failed in all areas concerning customer service. On a scale of 1 to 5, he deserves a 0. He needs retraining or put somewhere where he doesnt have to interact with people. read more
